The scope of Close Up is to fill their toothpaste with menthol. It's like licking Tom-Tom or Vicks Blue and then drinking water, you would get that same feeling like when you use Close Up to brush

Not a Brand guy but the ingredients are my go to place as soon i put my hands on it. No fluoride, no saccharine. Good to go. If i get broke and can’t afford the no fluoride type i look for the lowest fluoride index.

Colgate though I'm currently using pepsodent, it's not bad though not as effective as Colgate. Oral B is now terrible, the last one I bought was worse than mymy. I tried buying elsewhere and it was the same thing. Not minty, hardly foamed and within a few hours of brushing, you're mouth will be feeling like you've not brushed. Either they've reduced the quality or there are fakes everywhere. I'll jejely stick with my Colgate

Sensodyne and Olemol do not contain Sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)

I have personally noticed that these brands of toothpastes have their individual strengths.

For instance, Close-Up is the best when you want to eliminate bad breath; doesn't really whiten your teeth.

Oral-B is best when you want your teeth to get whiter. People who use Oral-B still struggle with bad breath.

There's the blue tinted and the green tinted.
Green tint is the better of the two ñ.

Even when in Nigeria, close up is a no no.
Most people who use that has plaque. We ran a stat then in uni. All the people who has dental plaques uses close up. I will rather use chewing stick than that thing. That's the worst toothpaste ever followed by pepsodent.
They will just ruin your teeth and gum.
Colgate is just brand name.
Also the brush you use take like 50% of the glory.
Don't expect magic when you don't use the right brush.


I will take aquafresh anytime any day. Have been using aquafresh for more than 15yrs. Tried others and went back to it. Aside that, I can use sensodyne for teeth sensitivity. It's so good.
