The bandits were duly engaged but why are there no casualties on their side but a total of 17 on the side of the villagers? The police should have done better with the intel information. In fact our security should no longer wait for them to attacked but should be going after bandits before they launch attacks.

Only the NA can do that!

State policing can only happen when the national assembly amend the constitution by removing the police from the exclusive to concurrent list which is the states!

National assembly is a constitution of states representatives, so it's still up to the states...I personally heard on the news some governors saying they can't fund it,.we can't blame the presidency on that. NA were voted in just as the president was. Nigerians should face the NA.

Benue is a strategic entery point into eastern parts of Nigeria and very strategic to the Jihadists. Capturing Benue now will cement their ground for future invasion. The goal is to capture. Unfortunately, the southern Nigerians may actually fall. Like, many countries were captured by invaders and over a period of years, the place becomes theirs.
It happened in North Africa, Turkey, etc.
If southern Nigerian leaders and people arent proactive, there may not be indegenous people of southern Nigeria in the next 50 years.

They are poor villagers in sometimes remote, small settlements. They are subsistence farmers just trying to navigate Nigeria's treacherous, wicked landscape to eke out a living.

It is hard for city dwellers who are insulated from this madness to understand. Have you tried to get a license for a firearm in this country? Very hard. Very very hard. And if you get one illegally (like some do) to protect yourself, the system will make you miserable if you are found out.

The government (federal and state) doesn't care about these people. The so called armed forces don't care about these people. Nobody cares about them because they are poor villagers.

Nigeria's wickedness will consume her and all her children. One way or another. None will escape it.
