Don't take it personal.I only said when an adult choose to be irresponsible. We should put it to him or her.If he or she did not see alcohol he will still take other substance that will still result to calamity. You can ask agba to on his other activities/consequences....lol

There is no "drink responsibly" anymore. That's like saying, "Smoke responsibly." You're literally drinking to death.

But, yes, banning a popular product when knowledge of its long-term adverse effects is still low is bad policy. We should consider raising taxes on alcohol -- like north of 100% -- enough to discourage consumption without pushing the market underground. The increased revenue will help pay for the coming explosion in cancers and chronic liver disease, for the strain on healthcare resources those will cause for non-alcohol cases, and for the health education we need to increase awareness of the serious health risks of alcohol consumption.

Last post on this. Sorry for hijacking the thread.

Trump just raised oil prices today by the strike on yemen.

Even transcorp and UACN that declared 60 kobo and 22 kobo respectively have not dropped to N15 from their respective highs of around N44 and N35 respectively.

GTCO that declared N7 couldn't close significantly on qualifications date from the price when it was announced.

Then you have other companies without dividend and price remained where they are with some even appreciating in price.

This stocks market na the more you look the less you see.

Ethical investors... Is alcohol the only thing NB produces?

Yes, if out of over 20 products only Maltina, Amstel Malt and Fayrouz are non alcoholic that's 85% alcoholic products focus and 85% result in school is 'A' score.
Hope my philosophy general course lecturer taught me logic well?

Good morning experience investors. I need to find out if someone in diaspora can be part of FGN bond ? Can she partake without a broker ? A sister is interested but, I explained to her that I don't do FGN bonds because I really don't know much about it. What I know is trading in shares. But, I believe she felt that since I do shares I should have the knowledge of FGN bond. Please I will be grateful if anyone can put me through in a layman's language πŸ˜„ so that I can explain to my sister. Looking forward to reading from you sirs/ma's. My people say that those who ask questions doesn't get lost. 😁

Do not be quick to condemn Ote. If history is anything to go by, we should just be patient with him until he gets enough units. I believe Ote has all it takes to transform not just fbnh, but the entire banking sector( in of pricing lol)
Go and look at what he has done everywhere he has been(including his short stay in transcorp)
Just know when to leave cos he always leaves and it always crashes once he cashes out.

Them dey use our eps build new headquarters

Same Otedola gave some of us serious haircut when he sold Forte Oil to Ardova; some of us started all the way from when he acquired AP. Till date, that's still one of the major losses I have faced.

Why will they claim to have made #18 as EPS and willing to give shareholders just 60k; something doesn't seem right.

Nigerians will never learn from PONZI schemes. It's just that greed in wanting magic money that cause many to sign up for everlasting sorrow.

This is the MAIN reason why I intend to stick to the Stock Market as my avenue for Wealth Creation that would transcend to my generation.

There are no shortcuts to wealth or success.

Did you say mouth watering dividend of N2.05 final dividend of ACCESSBANK. Well, considering the paltry sum of N0.60k declared by Firstholdco, you can say that again. You may be right with your predictions as Fidelity, UBA and Zenith had already marked down for dividend. I pray let there be mad rush for ACCESSBANK so that it can gain 10% for some of us to cash out. 😁😁 grin grin grin
