Seems my memory is fuzzy, but I thought it was Russia that attacked Ukraine? The West pushed or tricked Putin into doing it? Ukraine should have started dialogue at that point? What of the weeks leading up to the invasion when Western leaders like Macron kept begging Putin not to attack and Zelensky kept calling the Kremlin (until they stopped taking his calls) to try to tell them anything they needed to hear to prevent the attack?
