The eyesore on Bourdillon Road
2nd January 2025

Beyond his neighbours, there is something about the sight of people hanging around a president’s residence that does not speak well of his leadership capabilities. Maybe no one has nudged him to see it, but the impression that spectacle on Bourdillon Road generates is that Tinubu enjoys the sight of suffering humans and thrives in—and through— their poverty.

If all these years, impoverished people hang around you and you remain comfortable enough to keep them just so they can be handed tokens of your large heart, then it means you have a pro-poverty mindset. Such a frame of mind is oriented toward cultivating poverty rather than stimulating abundance.

That is why he could unproblematically relate the story of his “friend” who went from using five Rolls Royce to a far-less valued car and not consider the import of the nonsense he was saying. That spurious was an indication that this is a man for whom poverty—of others, not himself—is an ideal.

Slaves truly deserve their mental chains.

Did you get your own daily bread palliative yet for today?

That should at least solve the hunger problem for your lazy youth soul.

A large crowd of Lagosians was filmed in a long queue struggling to collect a loaf of bread. To maintain order, several military personnel were on the ground to control the crowd. This has triggered a lot of reactions online.

Is this a joke?

In a sane society like China, Japan and North Korea, this ediot would have since been executed live on national TV for massive corruption and fraud.

It'll take Nigeria at least a minimum of 800 years to catch up with the rest of the world 🌎

2019 : I Weep For Abians By Wisdom Nwedene (Must Read)

Written by Wisdom Nwedene

Yesterday, pictures of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu branded Tanker distributing free kerosene to people at Umunkpeyi and other locations circulated the social media space.

Many people were seen struggling to get the free kerosene from the tanker.

I was shocked and wept bitterly when I saw the pictures because this is no longer the Abia State I know before.

From Ikpeazu's moves by sharing free kerosene and money to Abians few days to Governorship election, it is crystal clear that he is aware that he has failed the people who entrusted him with power.

I also heard that Ikpeazu said that the dark days are over for the civil servants in Abia State and donated 10 million naira to them.

My question to the civil servants is, will Ikpeazu 10 million naira solve the pains and problems you have been through in the last three and half years?

Let me quickly recall that in the last three and half years, almost all the civil servants in every sector protested over non payments of their salaries.

Let me do flashback, in 2018, the staff of Abia State owned University teaching hospital, Aba protested and cursed Ikpeazu over non-payment of their 9months salary.

The demonstration was staged Inside the premises of the hospital.

Also, in of infrastructure, Ikpeazu has not done well.

Let me also draw your mind to the Osisoma Flyover being constructed by Ikpeazu for over three years now.

Despite his promise that the flyover will be completed in January 2019, the truth is that the project has been abandoned.

When it comes to good road, hospital, empowering the farmers, Ikpeazu has not delivered also.

I don't know any reason a true Abia State born should want Ikpeazu to return to the Government House when he has failed to deliver half of the promises he made in 2015.

If you come to Ebonyi State, you will see what Umahi did in of infrastructure . He built many flyovers, good roads and empowered farmers. That's what I expected Ikpeazu to do.

Let me make it clear that I'm not from Abia State and didn't receive a dime to pen down this article but as a journalist, I know it is imperative to speak against evils, injustice, hunger, etc when I see them.

Put all your biases aside and consider this with an open mind. This man is only a member of the Ekiti State Board of Environmental Protection Agency He saw a small problem and decided to provide a solution. If everyone like him in Nigeria provided small practical solutions, don't you think Nigeria would be a better place? Some people's mobile phones are their source of survival. The only issue I have with it is that he should have done it quietly and without any fanfare

Ekiti Residents Jubilate as Bayo Ajayi Opens Free Phone Charging Center in Emure
Residents of Ekiti State have taken to the streets in jubilation as Bayo Ajayi, a member of the Ekiti State Board of Environmental Protection Agency, commissioned a new phone charging center in Emure, Ekiti State.

Speaking at the event, Bayo Ajayi acknowledged the ongoing electricity challenges in the area and assured residents that the state government is actively working to restore power as soon as possible. In the meantime, he said the charging point was established to help ease the burden of the prolonged power outage on the community.

He added, “This is what we are doing to the state government and to identify with the people.” Bayo Ajayi further promised that the charging center would operate 24 hours a day, with an uninterrupted power supply to keep it running at all times.

Importantly, he also assured the people that charging their devices at the center would be completely free of charge.

The residents cheered and hailed him in excitement, celebrating the much-needed relief the project brings.

Meanwhile, the video of the commissioning has sparked mixed reactions online, with many social media s expressing diverse opinions about the development. Watch the video and feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section.

I will neither condemn nor commend his efforts. Let the people in whose vicinity he sited it judge. sad

But if you reside in some areas where power supply situation competes with hell, you might see the need to appreciate what this man just did. People pay as much as 5h to 1k to charge their devices daily in some places in this country.
