No difference between you and that man. You are a lazy ass man who think he can dish out advices just cos he crossed the shores of Nigeria. Even a wealthy Nigerian can cough out that money in a month and live comfortably. Where you guys lack sense is that you fail to quantify the security, power , serenity, education etc you tend to acquire their. You are an old man. Try live up to it. Tufia gi

you believed that slowpoke?

Probably the dumbest post I have read this year. The low intelligence dude comparing how much he spends overseas in Naira while ignoring different earning capacities and purchaisng power parity of both inhabitants and the currency respectively.

I think this is a foolish attempt to show off or mock those in Nigeria. Whichever one, it is a daft post.

Nnamdipapa:
Why exactly are people cursing this man? Why don't you refute his statements? I pay more than N600k every month in utilities abroad per month, N3.2M in mortgage for one house alone per month, I will never pay 20% of that in Nigeria. You people never see anything good in your country. Between August last year and February this year, I was paying about N6m per month in mortgages which included an empty house under renovation. You want me to tell you how much I pay in taxes per month?

Abroad go bill you like crazy, Imagine your own house in Naija with no mortgage and a 24hour solar light? O boy, Naija na paradise on earth I swear.

he is in the wrong position. another one like him was invited to a to speak, and he did not even understand the topic grin grin grin

jmoore:
1,500 per meal times 3 = 4,500 per day

That's 135,000 naira per month. But minimum wage is 70,000 naira

And this dude claims to have PhD. Obviously a case study of 'educated ignoramus', of which is a prerequisite to defend Tinubu. Just like the other dude that said that capital punishment is not death penalty.

Mr Analyst, read what you wrote again. If you concede that N2,500 can indeed buy a meal in Lekki as you alluded to, then you have agreed to his point of argument that Naira is good for its current value
Gov of hunger and depression, keep defending them. Your highest currency denomination can't buy you a plate of food to fill your belly. Una Weldon o.

Some denomination of the naira are literally useless now.

What can't the mind of the average black navigate beyond just thoughts of food? I was arguing with an idiot here some months back that a nation can't build wealth in today's world without making trading deals with richer countries and he retorted that we have rich soils to grow our food and that's all that's necessary. Lack of thinking even a mile ahead of our immediate wants and needs is why we're here today.

Shebi you were able to pay all these money? That shows that the government over there is a sensible one, taxing the rich proportionately. They used your taxes to make lives better. Here they eat your taxes. What do I really need in life if not a car, a house, good roads, security, electricity 24/7, etc. So if I am paying for it and I'm getting value for my money, why the complaint? What are we gathering money for if not to use it for what we want?

Tope Fasua is a huge disappointment.

Being part of a government doesn't mean you should say anything to justify its policies no matter insensitive they are.

Look, Tinubu was elected so that a high quality meal could become affordable but unfortunately this hasn't been so. So instead of this heartless justification, why not encourage Nigerians to make sacrifice today for a better tomorrow. But of course, he knows there is no plan to guarantee that brighter tomorrow. So ...

Being in the corridor of power is transient. History will judge everyone.
God punish your papa.

It is not my duty to care about others. If you have, you will never care about me either. It took me a while to realize the selfish nature of the world and I can say I have truly learned to take care of my own interest.

I work for my money and get zero from the government. There are also lots of homeless poor white folks here who like to complain and blame the government for everything.
It is a matter of having the right perspective in live. I grew up dirty poor and vowed to overcome poverty without complaining.

Abroad economics is different.
Abroad minimum wage in UK is like £11 per hour (£1936 per month).
Similar in US, and Europe.
£1936 is N3,484,800
You complete idiot.
Is Nigerian minimum wage 3.5 Million per month?
Since you've lost reality, we earn N70.000 per month
and our entire economy is factored around that.
That is why N2500 for a meal is an impossibly high figure for many people.

Dr Tope Delulu (delusional)

Your argument is absurd and utterly detached from the reality of most Nigerians. Claiming that N1,500 still holds significant purchasing power is laughable. N1,500 will not get you a meal in Lekki, or anywhere in the rest of Nigeria, this amount barely covers transportation costs.

Even if 1500naira bought you a meal. 3 meals will be 4500naira and a whole month of 30 days will be 135000 naira. For one person. So how does a family of 3 Survive on minimum wage ?

Your suggestion that minimum wage earners should be able to survive on N1,500 is a gross misrepresentation of reality. With inflation soaring, a minimum wage of N30,000 is inadequate for basic needs, let alone a decent meal. Fasua’s condescending remarks about “making difficult choices” ignore the crushing poverty that millions face.

His example of giving N1,000 to a security guard, while quaint, doesn’t change the fact that systemic poverty is rampant. It’s a cheap, feel-good gesture that doesn’t tackle the real issue.

The comparison to President Trump’s governance is nonsensical. Fasua is trying to deflect blame for Nigeria’s woes onto global events and leadership styles, while ignoring that the problem is domestic mismanagement. His “post-COVID recovery” excuse is just a lazy cover-up for ineptitude.

In short, Fasua’s views are a delusional attempt to sugarcoat Nigeria’s dire economic situation. His statements are more about deflection than addressing the real issues of poverty, inequality, and economic collapse.

After introducing poverty , now they are weaponizing it.
Your argument does not hold water, which grown up adult eat three heavy meals a day ?
