Kudos to the team.
I think Arteta and the board room staff had to analyse their strengt weakness opportunity and time against a big team real Madrid. Curtois was no doubt a strength in the team and they knew scoring direct field goal against him may be hard the reason they practiced more on set pieces and make saka the ploy to get the spot kick, while deccan execute it. The only field goal scor3d by merino, if you look very well, 3 players have a good sight on goal but merino was positioned in a manner that Curtois direct sight to the shot will be blocked. This is pure tactics and execution.

I never expected this. Kudos to partey for not loosing too much concentration in the midfield. LS is becoming more confident by the day. We await what tactics arteta will deploy for second leg. I know for sure he will prepare them for the loud noise of Bernabeu and try to defend till last minute. Good thing that utility in camavinga is out of it.
