Please stop believing Trump that is a Pathological liar.

Let me ask you a question; how did Trump come up with these tarrifics that these countries charge the US?
He loves the poorly educated especially those that can't think for themselves, are you surprised?

I think the media misread or misunderstood his post. Trump says he’s reciprocating tariffs from other countries which means if countries remove tariffs (direct and indirect), the US will reciprocate.

Yeah, the media may misread it, but the US economy is not misreading it presently. The stock markets across all spheres of economic activities in the country down by almost 6%, which is a great loss.

Americans are not smiling.

I Trump 100%. A reasonable country will cut down on their tarrifs on American imports and make American imports cheaper for their citizens. Can you imagine what a lesser tariff on cars will do for us in Nigeria?

America is not even fully reciprocating and the world is crying. When some countries are having over 50% tarrifs on American imports, did they hear pim from America?

Lesser tariff on cars from the US will strangle the little life your auto industry has. If you open your market like that your industry will be wipped out.

Unless you want to see Bleep it and become a service nation. Even at that you still need the infrastructure and some manufacturing to make it viable.

Elon Musk can no longer hide the flop sweat beading on his forehead as he realizes his cozy bromance with Donald Trump — let’s call it what it is, a “deal with the devil”— is turning out to be one of the worst business decisions of his life.

In what might be the most embarrassing corporate crawling-back, Tesla previously dispatched an unsigned letter to U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer. The letter was complaining about how Trump’s tariffs on imported goods were wreaking havoc on Tesla’s global supply chain. Tesla’s global sales have nosedived, particularly in Europe, where competitors like Volkswagen are eating its lunch. Its stock price? Free-falling. Since its high of $479.86 in December 2024, Tesla’s shares have lost over 50% of their value, wiping out more than $800 billion in market cap. Yet throughout this economic bloodbath, Musk has been Trump’s hype man.

But even the world’s most committed yes-man has his breaking point. Musk’s facade cracked spectacularly when he launched a broadside against Peter Navarro, Trump’s trade adviser and one of the architects of the “Liberation Day” tariffs. In a post on his beloved X , Musk dismissed the guy as someone who “ain’t built s–t” and even took a swipe at his Harvard PhD, calling it “a bad thing, not a good thing.”

And if they do that, it's for benefits of US, because America has comparative advantage over others. .....in area of advanced technology, financing and cost of production, before you know, your own production would be dying off, while USA would be growing exponentially.

President Trump's trade advisor has belittled Elon Musk, describing him as a 'car salesman' who is criticizing the new tariffs because they impact his business.

Peter Navarro was dismissive of Musk even as he disputed a 'rift' between them - just a day after the world's richest man targeted him on his social media platform, X.

'He's got X. He's got a big microphone. We don't mind him saying whatever he wants, but the American people need to understand that we know what this is all about,' Navarro said dismissively in an interview with Fox News.

'Elon, when he's in his DOGE lane, is great. But we understand what is going on here. Elon sells cars.'

The extraordinary swipe comes after Musk publicly criticized Trump's sweeping new tariffs, which have sparked stock market mayhem and global fears of a recession.

Navarro has been a staunch advocate of the tariffs and was said to be in Trump's ear as he hammered out the details of the new policy.

He's also a loyal er of the MAGA movement and served four months in jail for refusing to cooperate with investigations into the January 6 insurrection.

'[Musk is] in Texas assembling cars that have big parts of that car from Mexico, China, Japan... the electronics come from Taiwan,' Navarro pointed out.

so in your opinion,we buy things from the US?

You people are always discussing subjects beyond your mental capacity. Those second hand stuff we buy from US aren't counted as trade between Nigeria and US. The same applies to many countries who can't afford to purchase US made goods and services. Why musk is angry about EU tariff is because they are the few who are rich enough to afford US goods and services and the tariff will make it more difficult for them to buy and do they will have to replace his cars for Chinese made cars such as BYD. Already BYD are selling more than than him in several places and this trade war will make him less competitive

those numbers Trump was showing you people are just trade imbalance between America and several other countries. America is the biggest consumer in this world and as such, trade between them and other countries wouldn't be equal. At one point, they were our number customer for crude oil meanwhile, how many of us can afford to purchase their products brand new. How many iPhones are sold as brand new straight from Apple to Nigeria, how many Ford motors are bought and sold as brand new in Nigeria.

So if you check the our bilateral trade,it would seem like we're leaching on them meanwhile,we are just too poor to afford their goods and services.

That's exactly what Trump is using as his tariff base

America steals from every part of the world by making everyone rely on them one way or the other.

How do you plan local manufacturing and production to improve without putting tariffs on imports?

America objective with all these tariffing is to further make the whole world rely on them to they can dictate to a sovereign nation whatever they want

Trump is not a billionaire, he has refused to file his tax returns since God-knows-when for a reason.

The money he inherited fron his dad has gone down a lot net worth wise.

Also he didn't win elections based on his financial acumen, he won based on the rednecks love for one of their own.

He and his organisation have been found guilty in court for various unethical behaviour.

The same person that was telling Georgia state officials to make up votes for him is not someone that knows what he is doing.

Hail Trump for whatever reason but do it with truth, not blatant falsehood.

Some are seating dormant waiting for the new world order (that will be ushered in by an imaginary beast with double horns) while the US is making hard decisions to usher in the new order. The US is aware that if their structure remains as it is, and the new world order emerge, the US will collapse without control. The earlier you understand that things have changed the better for you.

Making sense though. I love your reasoning.
