You may be right on feeling bad but the truth is we are hardly ready to take global opportunities if they arrive as a country.
(to digress a bit)
A substantial amount of tech global opportunities from global brands skip Nigeria for Kenya, S/A or Ghana. Especially Kenya.. The few that opened offices in Lagos n Abuja alongside Kenya and others are either shutting down or operating minimally and of course it just has to be Lagos or Abuja and unfortunately rightly so for the investors.. The Kenya hubs are expanding to other regions of theirs. undecided

On Exporting Zones;
According to official website, we only have 8 Active Zones out of 42!!!.
Out of the active 8, only 2 are outside Lasgidi: Calabar and Enugu towards the bottom of the website.
https://nepza.gov.ng/
Like you said, at least the active 8 can be upgraded to a high standard cuz I am sure they aren't all operating at same capacity..

Cuz why can't FTNCOCOA be competing with Okomu or Presco..
Sincen primary school days CocoA, Cashew and it's nuts has been a cash crop for export grin
Are some Agruc sections not functioning?
I know we had one in Warri or so.

I think this is where governors and local entrepreneurs need to work as a team and grow the GDP of their states. Perhaps change in State security arrangements being vested more in the hand of the state instead of the FG will help governors create a more secure environment for security. The VAT changes will also empower the governor that seats up unlike what used to happen. I am looking at Edo state, pray all Agric related stocks there (PRESCO, OKOMU, ELLAHLAKES) will witness massive growth shocked

The punch writer (Oluwakemi Abimbola) deep dive into the 2024 AFS revealed the following banks paid N205.6b wind fall tax
Bank N (b)
Zenith 63.31
UBA 57.91
GTCO 51.25
IBTC 17.18
Fidelity 13.33
Wema 2.62
This can now be compared to the N17.67b reported by FCMB

I guess this is all they will be paying as the writer quoted the UBA's note For 2023 & 2024 based on engagements & reconciliations this is full payment N24.81 & 33.092 respectively for the years
Yes, it seems it's full payment for UBA as agreed estimate with FIRS.

Warren Buffet saw the future and was busy selling (taking profit) last year.

He got over 300B in cash. Once he starts buying, the bottom is in.

He has a way for of comparing their GDP with the stock market capitalization to determine if the general market is under valued, appropriately valued or over valued

Last year, I agree, but now that we are experiencing a bit of economic recovery? NAY!

Hehehe, my unit cost was 5.23 last year Sept, and I pull out my capital @ 100% this Jan.

Now I wanna grab some more. I will leverage down from starting at 8.60.

FCMB
For those comparing FCMB with WEMABANK, I think it shouldn't be so.

FCMB actually gave a better dividend.
Also note that FCMB did Public Offer/Rights Issue, which eventually made the OS to increase.

* WEMA did reconstruction of 3:1 sometimes ago (if you have 3 units, it becomes 1)
Therefore, the N1.00 declared by WEMA is actually 100÷3 = 33.33k per share pre-reconstruction.

** While WEMA declared 33.33k final dividend for 2024 FYE @ around N11, FCMB declared 0.55k @ around N9.

** WEMA paid dividend on collapsed/reduced OS, while FCMB paid on increased OS.

** This is the way I viewed it.

True unlocking GDP of states is the koko.
Every state has its uniqueness.
State police or special outfit from within the indigenes to secure mineral mining operations from state is key.

I'm just wary of abuse of State Police. If it were in place, state of Emergency in Rivers would have shed some blood.

Bad news for our domestic upstream oil companies. Meanwhile. Oando looks set for full offer today after postponing the release of their results. It is now more than 50% down from its recent peak

Access have purportedly completed their capital raise and have met the CBN requirement. Their current OS should be about 53billion.
UBA is yet to complete the process and may issue more shares but they currently have about 45 billion OS.
So that of UBA is currently inconclusive making it difficult to compare both

Thanks bro
