He wasn't threatened but wasn't allowed to fight the original bout he went for because he was overweight for that class , on his own against the advise of his coach he went to fight in a higher weight class he wasn't prepared for for 500 dollars pay

"Saanu mi, saanu mi," na their anthem once their kids commit. The man's body gave in to punishment. There was no foul play. He knew the hazard of his job and she's yet to accept it. He's gone. It could've gone the other way with his opponent biting the dust. Let her count her loss and focus on her other living children.

To the bots and trolls on my matter, would ing the army instead change the fact that he was her only child? Engagement, engagement don turn una to unpaid Nairaland prefects.

Boxing is a dangerous sport. People die there.

If you notice, boxing no longer has the large number of black Americans it used to have. That's because 70 years or more ago, boxing was the only sport open to blacks to compete with whites. When other sports opened up, blacks went there. Better health insurance, regular salaries.

(Ken Norton was a boxer who fought Muhammad Ali and many others. He had a son, who was expected to be a boxer...instead the son chose american football. Regular salary, no living from purse to purse.).

Very emotional and pathetic. The mother could have advised him to step down at the moment she received the message.

That is why Nigeria remains stagnant. You give advice if you see fit. Leaving them alone continues their existence in ignorance. Mama should take IVF medication to birth another or adopt. She should have cousins and niblings she can give the child to if stress kills her.

Oh it's sad but if there was to that, I guess he knew what he was up to. He died in active service just hope he had a life insurance.

Wait I don't get it. Like he'll be paid $500 for the fight?

That's about 750k. Even if he survived and sustained serious injuries, he'll exhaust that money treating himself.

The money he was promised wasn't worth the risk at all.

The Nigerian Boxing Board of Control has already queried the Ghanaian Boxing authorities. She's perfectly in order for calling for justice. The Ministry of Sports and police should investigate his death.

It's now looking fishy and I will not be surprised if many people are culpable. His family must be compensated.

This justice will be a long journey.
It was reported that he died of cardiac arrest.
We all saw the video.
If the family is suspecting a foul play, then the death should be probe with an autopsy carried out.

May God give her the strength to bear the lose.
Rest in Peace to the Boxer

You are a highly insensitive person. If the deceased were your brother, is this what you will say? May God forgive you.

She's calling for both. Get an interpreter if you don't understand Yoruba. She's made serious allegations and must be investigated instead of reducing it to mockery of compensation. Your own mother will never watch you die just for compensation nah
