He would not have done that under the despot called Babangida. That man and his group were intoxicated by power and very wicked in their days.
Even this Oshiomole was said to have criticized Obasanjo in the morning during his time as NLC leader on a particular day, in the evening of same day Murray Ben Bruce visited Obasanjo and met the two of the drinking and laughing together.
He is now a saint.
Naigiriya!!!!
Stop lying and giving silly excuses. The same man defied court injunction and went ahead with the election, then why couldn't he defy same pressure and announce the winner?

It's easy to ask why a civilian like Nwosu did not publicly announce June 12th results against the wishes of Generals with guns
But he went ahead with the election against the wishes of the Generals with guns. So what stops him from announcing the complete results against the wishes of the Generals?

Asonaijaaso: Humphrey Nwosu is No Hero – Let’s Be Honest
Honoring Humphrey Nwosu in the same breath as MKO Abiola is an insult to history.
After Abacha died, MKO Abiola died—a clear signal that forces beyond Nwosu were at play. But in moments where great men stand up to cement their legacy, Nwosu remained silent.
He had one duty: affirm that MKO won fair and square. He didn’t.
Why?
• Fear of IBB? Maybe.
• Pressure from the military? Likely.
• But history only re the bold, not the cautious.
Compare Him to True Heroes
Today, we have INEC commissioners risking their lives to declare results under threats, some even at gunpoint, yet standing firm.
• Some have lost their lives for announcing the rightful winners.
• Nwosu had none of that courage.
Senator Abaribe’s Calls for Immortalization? Nothing to See Here.
He was just a civil servant. He did his job—but nothing extra.
• He didn’t fight for justice.
• He didn’t push against the annulment.
• He didn’t defend the mandate of the people.
Greatness is defined by what you do when it matters most.
Humphrey Nwosu is no hero.
He was just a bureaucrat who stayed within the lines.
Succinct.
I like how you write

The late Nwosu wrote a book about all that transpired during that time and he acknowledged Abiola as the winner of that election.
These guys are too quick to demonize Nwosu even in death,I guess Rufai was right afterall.
I am sure Oshiomole didn’t have the balls to condemn the maradona of their time even after lunching his book.
What's the title of the book and who published it ?

But obi people said only Yoruba senators are against it! Any reasonable person will see this move as a gross misplaced of priorities and criminality! His cowardice for not announcing the result led to the arrest of this man, yet those ipob senators wanted him to be immortalised! If he’s that important to them how have they immortalised him in their region? If you pay good attention to this people ,you will realised they are the most hypocritical despots in Nigeria! Just wanted to always look for opportunities to forment trouble for no reason! Thank God Una papa na hin president, he matched Una madness!

This is what Nnamdi Kanu has been saying all along about Igbos thinking that Nigeria is one, IBB the man who gleefully annulled the election from the North is now being celebrated with Tinubu who claimed to be in the trenches leading the charge to raise billions of Naira for him at his book launch while the man whom even IBB said in his book that he was book amazed at his exceptional courage is now being vilified because of the part of the country he hails from, meanwhile June 12 will be celebrated as "Democracy Day" because Humphrey Nwosu insisted on holding election that day in 1993.
Nigeria we hail thee
