Maybe the observed that they were sabotaging him or unwilling to cooperate with his istration.

It is a familiar attitude with River State workers when they see a non indigene in leadership positions within their state.

I am saying this based on my personal experience. I worked in a company in Port Harcourt and faced all kinds of attitude, frustration, and........

All because they feel you can't just come from........ and be their boss.

The did the best thing by suspending those officials. They must have been clogging his wheels in the effort to drive the istration.
ur very correct thts always the stupid mindset of an average rivers man most especially those IKWERRE PEOPLE ...the lazy people hardly ever leave to go hustle outside only attached to house of dead people and land ...hence the constant statement....." Na our community be this." With this miopic reasoning once u come in and try to take proceedings the lazy land fanatic get aroused in anger .....

Nigeria’s democracy is being gutted in broad daylight, and the culprit is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has now assumed the power to erase an entire democratically elected government at will. The appointment of Vice-iral Ibok-Ete Ibas (Retd.) as Sole of Rivers State is nothing but a blatant power grab, a move so anti-democratic that it reeks of military-era dictatorship.

Who gave Ibas a mandate? No one. He wasn’t elected. He wasn’t chosen by the people. Yet, here he is, dismissing an entire government like a colonial viceroy. The suspension of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, his deputy, and every single elected legislator in Rivers State is nothing short of a political coup—one that erases the will of the people and replaces it with an emperor’s decree.

And what is the justification? “Political tensions” and “pipeline vandalism.” Convenient excuses. If insecurity justifies the complete dissolution of an elected government, then why is Tinubu still in office despite the country spiraling into economic ruin, banditry, and kidnappings?

This is the creeping autocracy Nigerians should fear. Rivers State is just the beginning. Today, Fubara is suspended. Tomorrow, who’s next? If we accept this, no state is safe from federal hijacking. Democracy dies when elections no longer matter.

Tinubu, history is watching. Nigerians are watching. And this shameless power play will not be forgotten.
Nice write up......ur brilliant

I feel your pain sincerely but what you wrote is out of context, watch how fubara will comeback stronger because he would he analyzed the situation and do better, he understand whats happening and he has not said anything but social media warrior and emergency political analyst like you who are just emotional and one sided are saying all this because we all know it is a faceless app.
Continue
Maybe you are pained.Fubara will be back? And you think you can dismantle his entire structure in just six months? Then bring him back ? Keep deceiving yourself. This isn’t some faceless app, and no one is intimidated. People like you the amputation of a democracy that we have all sacrificed to build. But by the grace of God, we will come out in full force and vote out any dictator in 2027. The ballot is mightier than the bullet—you’ll see soon enough.

All those shouting Fubara is gone, lemme tell you all something, it's not about him but our country, this is going to be replicated all round. If only you under the state capturing and power grabbing going on, you will pity for the future of Nigeria. Do you even know what it means for the president to blatantly disobeying the constitution and going unchecked? Bad governance is like rainfall, it will fall on everybody. For those who are directly benefiting from it, it is understandable that you are just after your stomach while those who barely dey survive dey them shout I pity for una sha. Fubara has all the money he needs to afford the best of life for himself and his family. Na the common masses wey nor fit chop go suffer am.

What does this mean now again? Why this act of constitutional abuse. Were all these appointees also suspended by the the illegal SoE? What kind of precedence is this lawless government setting?
It's part of the grand scheme to compel Fubara to represent his team to the state house of assembly for confirmation when he returns to office at the end of the emergency. It's a script.

The way some of you speak with reasoning, Nigeria can't be better. What is going on in the state is unconstitutional. Tinubu wants Wike incharge of the state. For funds and 2027 Elections. Do you think what's happening will benefit the state or some individuals??
We are in Rivers State we know the real truth

Fubara is coming back before the expiration of the 6 months suspension with clarity and more understanding of how politics work, he has learnt that he needs to compromise for peace sake and not listen to the outside world when governing, he will also learn he is not the most powerful but can be powerful if he has the backing of the House, imagine when Bukola Saraki was in power did buhari achieve anything?
i hope he has learnt but for sure Fubara is coming back

Lol...😁😁😁

Six months will soon be up. The only certainty is Fubara continuing to expose himself as a political neophyte in this political power game.
The sole has proven to be in Wike's political camp. President Tinubu obviously has a soft spot for Wike.
The sole is destroying all of Fubara's structures bit by bit.
I repeat for record purposes the writing on the wall is very clear FUBARA IS NEVER COMING BACK TO THE GUBERNATORIAL SEAT!
At the expiration of the first six months the state of emergency will be extended for another six months by the Presidency. Mark it in your diary. This is a high stakes political game that has a perverse predetermined outcome which is for Wike to win back all the political structures for Tinubu.

Now you will understand that right Education is not a scam. Your ranting is because, you think governance is by social media Noise.

Help yourself, pick up some books on governance. Do some little study on Nigeria constitution. I believe, by the time you do this, your sense of reasoning would have improved.
The constitution does not recognize the except evil people like you and the lots. falana, who is much better informed than you has stated this already.

it therefore makes every one of his decisions in the 6 months illegal.

continue ing illegalities till it knocks on your doors.

The appointment of Ibas in the first instance is unconstitutional and he is now engaging in further illegality. What does keeping the peace in a State of Emergency have to do with making political appointments?

They are slowly building a case of corruption against Fubara. Part of the reason for the dwmand of financial papers from the local government s. Next will be to arrest him by the EFCC after they would have implicated him in different cases of misappropriation of funds. The Lagos ibadam express way mercenary press houses will then finish hom off for Tinubu and Wike. That way, the socalled "initial six months" emergency period will be made permanent. Fubara is not going back to that seat, unless something huge happens politically..

By the time Sole is done removing ALL fubara stooges, including the Chief Justice, fubara and the Amaewhule House of Assembly will be returned and Amaewhule will impeach Fubara and Deputy for corruption and Amaewhule will be sworn in.

Before this December, Amaewhule will be Governor.

So only Ikwerre and Ijaws are in Rivers?
Rebelutionary:

When you say (just like many others have said here) "Rivers people are fully behind him", do you mean ijaws plus Ikweres or just the ijaws.

I am asking you this because Wike made a statement recently that the ijaws in Rivers are a fringe minority and the only place they can win an election with their numbers is Bayelsa state.

Even the likes of Asari, an ijaws have decided to jump ship and align with the powers that be...so where is the validity of that your claim?

You will explain to them tired. They lack sense. Most of them are kids. They know nothing. What concern appointments of a sole who will be there for just few months to a democratic elected governor.

Some of the Commissioners, Advisers, of Boards, of Commissions and Parastatals, were actually
approved by the Rivers State House of Assembly before the crisis started. Wike nominated virtually all of them but some of them later the Governor because of his excellent performance.

Hmmm...

I think by the time the Governor returns, he will find himself working with and surrounded by people he didn't appoint.

I also suspect that as part of the settlement deal for his return, he will have to agree to appoint a certain number of Commissioners, and key political appointees nominated by the Wike side.

There's also a good chance that Mr Fubara will meet a new Chief Justice.

The local governments too will most certainly not be under his control.

All of these will leave a returned Mr Fubara defenestrated, and more or less toothless. In office but not in power. He will still be able to govern, but only on acceptable to, and probably dictated by the Wike side.

If the above plays out as I speculate, Mr Fubara will have been on the receiving end of one of the most ruthless political beatings ever ditched out to a Governor since 1999.

It is a complete embarrassment, by ego won't even allow me to continue.

I have shame please.

And if he decides to fight back, it is obvious FG will break the constitution to remove him. And so has the money to buy off even his Ijaw creek boys that blow pipeline.

Left for me I'd not say no to stealing enough money till 2027 cos I'm sure he's not coming back, I'd simply hand over governance to Deputy and travel to USA for 6months, return for constitutional sake, travel again following month. I'll keep on with it and the brouhaha till 2027 appears, and also ensure I steal enough money that Amaewhule will allow me to steal without getting me impeached.

Nonsense

And I won't do no single project as 2027 is not guaranteed.

Nonsense

ChiefOkporghe: 11:04am On Mar 27

I didn't say any of the above would happen.

1. No one has to remove the Chief Judge. He can remove himself. he has been reported for age falsification. If there's truth in that, and there is a real possibility he will be prosecuted, he will accept a deal of voluntary resignation rather than being charged to court.

2. As for Mr Fubara returning and reappointing the suspended political appointees, you forget that Mr Fubara will not return unless he reaches a peace accord with of the House of Assembly. I speculate that any such accord will require the appointment of new Commissioners, SSG etc. and the Wike side will nominate a fair number of the new Commissioners.

3. I understand that the President was not in favour of impeaching Mr Fubara, hence the lesser option of State of Emergency. Forget about the President being under pressure to reinstate Mr Fubara. Mr Fubara will not return unless he settles with of the House of Assembly. Afterall what will be the point of ending the SOE if the bickering parties are still at loggerheads.

My overall assessment is that settlement will only happen if Mr Fubara agrees to certain conditions from the Wike side, and some of those conditions will inevitably tie his hands as Governor.
