They are slowly building a case of corruption against Fubara. Part of the reason for the dwmand of financial papers from the local government s. Next will be to arrest him by the EFCC after they would have implicated him in different cases of misappropriation of funds. I didn't say any of the above would happen.

1. No one has to remove the Chief Judge. He can remove himself. he has been reported for age falsification. If there's truth in that, and there is a real possibility he will be prosecuted, he will accept a deal of voluntary resignation rather than being charged to court.

2. As for Mr Fubara returning and reappointing the suspended political appointees, you forget that Mr Fubara will not return unless he reaches a peace accord with of the House of Assembly. I speculate that any such accord will require the appointment of new Commissioners, SSG etc. and the Wike side will nominate a fair number of the new Commissioners.

3. I understand that the President was not in favour of impeaching Mr Fubara, hence the lesser option of State of Emergency. Forget about the President being under pressure to reinstate Mr Fubara. Mr Fubara will not return unless he settles with of the House of Assembly. Afterall what will be the point of ending the SOE if the bickering parties are still at loggerheads.

My overall assessment is that settlement will only happen if Mr Fubara agrees to certain conditions from the Wike side, and some of those conditions will inevitably tie his hands as Governor.

After this, nobody will betray his godfather again.
