To be fair na the same Aina for LB give Osimhen assist for him goal.

Aina is a true professional who rose to the occasion where our traditional wingers failed; all these excuses of being played out of position don't cut it for me, conceding at the 90th minute has nothing to do with being played out of position. Everyone, irrespective of position, should keep things tidy in the dying minutes.

For us to still qualify,
SA have to drop 3 or 2 points and 3 points deducted from them while we go on to win our remaining matches including a game against SA scoring many goals as we could, .

As it stands now,SA has superior goals difference of +5 ,against Nigeria +1.

SE need to find a way to utilize their chances, we can't have two best forwards in Africa for nothing.

And some fans especially on this thread should learn to balance the over exaggeration of the present super eagles abilities .
Yes we presently parades 2 back to back Africa's best, both are forwards, but the rest of team is not balanced,no one to even step in for Osimhen.

In the past,I rarely watch super eagles draw at home, losing at home is more like a taboo.

These days, our home has become our away or a neutral ground.
These days,I watch our dear eagles with my heart on my mouth,or i simply stay out and wait for result and analysis to minimize my disappointment incase.

Nwabali looks good because of how bad Uzoho was, I still insist he isn’t first choice material and we can do better. You have an interesting take though and I appreciate your insight

Nwabali needs stern competition.
Noah Atubolu that's plays for Freiburg in the German league is an upgrade on him. Don't know who can convince him to switch allegiance.
Poseiro tried getting him before the last Afcon to no avail.
Arthur Okonkwo of Wrexham is also a top prospect.

Les vs SA, betting companies will put wicked odds there like Lesotho to win 20.5 and give SA to win 1.20….this kind thing dey kill ooo, SA can jogodo against Lesotho oooooo, in this qualifiers dont trust anybody ooo…This Zimbabwe on 4points will can spoil people joy in that group oooooo…by now we should be dusting our boot and saying goodbye to worldcup, and congratulating SA in advance but e b like say that SA witch-hunting demon is just using their matter to play ludo

Nerdie's reflections

If the 3 pts are deducted as expected from SA for the mokoena fumble then believe or not we are still in with a chance despite our silly fumble yesterday.

Yesterday's result is enough to not grant us access to USCAMEX 2026 but perhaps the football gods through CAR321's findings foresaw chaos in Uyo and made provisions.
The Beautiful Game became ugly yesterday for us and everyone here has a right to say "WE WONT BE AT THE 2026 WC."

Trust me, even if we qualify, I won't blame any of you for doubting right now only to be proven wrong later.

The attitude... the general attitude of most of the lads in game situations speak volumes to why most of us don't see this team making it in the end. But time will tell.

Victor Osimhen..... Top lad. The best Number 9 we have had since Yekini. He will not say all that is on his mind but deep down, I know he is absolutely pissed at everyone who was on the pitch when we conceded that cheap goal. From Ekong to Ndidi to Osayi to Boniface, everyone! He blames them and he is bloody right to do so because COME ON!! HE DID HIS PART. HE SHOWED UP. HE ALMOST ALWAYS SHOWS UP IN THE GWG. Reason why he is on 26 goals now in 40 caps.

This guy will kill himself, pick up injuries while on duty and still come back banging. Habamana!

I hope the others get the message and rally round for one last chance to salvage this WC ticket dream.

We are down but perhaps not just out yet.

Pre-Afcon 2023... how I and most of you doubted the peseiro led team just before Afcon 2023 held early last year. ONLY TRUIDSTARR and a few others believed pre-tournament that we could go all the way.

I didn't believe but I showed up to in the first game. It was after the first game, and the second vs CIV that I ed fully the belief wagon because I saw something. We went all the way but lost the final.

Nigeria... an enigmatic football nation. Stars everywhere but make minnows look like giants. Then when you absolutely rule them out, they come stunning you, slapping you back to reality and reminding you of why THEY WILL ALWAYS BE THE SUPER EAGLES.

BASED ON YESTERDAY, we don't deserve to be at the 2026 WC but if SA loses 3 pts... then whether we feel it or not, the truth is we have been offered another chance at redemption.

How this story ends is up to the rest of the team. Osimhen's mental profile is clear for everyone to see. He will always show up.
It is the rest we should be worried about. It is the rest that truly determine if the story ends well or not.

As always... TIME WILL TELL IT ALL.

Make everybody drink water and chill... it's not eureka just yet.

3 points will surely be docked from the South Africans.

Come September, NFF stooges and AE should pad the list with names of players who they are trying to market. Idiots in the glass house.
If Eric Chelle likes ,let him allow himself to be used as a tool to destroy his career and the team chances of getting to the world cup.
Anything can happen in the last 4 games.

Perhaps it is written in the constellations that Nigeria will qualify for the world cup.

Players who are not ready to fight should feign injury or conjure any excuse to miss the games.
Players who are ready to sweat and bleed for the flag are begging to be invited.

No room for lazy players come September.

There are so many players out there who can add depth and steel to the team.
If NFF, Eric Chelle and AE like ,let them use the team for experiment and cash out.

Make them no use kalukalu select players o

Or lose,
all it takes is for the opposing team take out Osimhen with injury God forbids, and our chances of winning is reduced to 30%.
Super eagles can't continue to drop points at home, simple.
Seems like apart from Lagos and Abuja, super eagles don't have home in Nigeria.

Me I don comot mind. E get wetin I dey see wey dey ginger my believe. I didn't see it yesterday. I sounded it from the first half that I was seeing draw in that match when wave after wave of our attacks were either being rebuffed or spent. I instinctively knew that a draw was in the offing.

We are just an arrogant people, the last time we were in the Afcon final before 2024 was in 2013, a whole decade ago, a coach came and took us to the final. We say na haram football we dey play, even our so-called ex-players were just making all sorts of noise, including those who never played in an Afcon final, all calling for the head of the coach as if he killed someone, some people then said even if he wins the Afcon he should be sacked because of his haram football, shebi we know where we dey now. ok, now we have an attacking-minded coach, we are complaining he didn't put enough bodies to defend his goal, what exactly do we want? You attack, na problem, you defend double wahala!

That Peseiro system was good for us. Perhaps a little tweak was all that was needed to perfect it. We weren't scoring and we were hard to score.

How did we suddenly lose our invincibility at home? Teams come to Nigeria now hoping to pick up points, the fear factor is gone.

And no, this is not just about the Uyo stadium. We have tried Benin, Lagos and Abuja in the last couple of years and we have struggled.

This WCQ campaign we hv lost 6 points at home against teams we have always been comfortable playing against.

If we had gotten those 6 points, we would hv been top of the table by now with SA having 12 pts.

How the tides hv turned.

In retrospect, the information about the South Africans' yellow card issues came too early. It allowed them not to play the culprit yesterday.

How I wish the information had come out after yesterday's match, South Africa would hv lost six points due to carelessness tongue

Iwobi is not the second coming of JayJay and Ronaldinho but scapegoating him whenever things go south is unfair. Thank God he wasn't on the pitch when Zimbabwe scored.

As 'below par' as Alex has been if other midfielders have been dropping even just equal of his performances we won't be in jam we're in.

Every time Iwobi Iwobi was he there when Ghana qualified ahead of us for 2022?

Was he on the pitch when CIV scored the 2nd goal against us in the final?

Was he on the pitch when Rwanda beat us in Uyo? A game that Onyeka played o!

Yes I desire top tier talent to feature in our team but I won't lambast someone who's always there rain or shine trying his best even if sometimes inadequate while giving others a free .

Ndidi even though I like him has never dropped great performances for the SE yet we seem to give him a free .

I never gave Ndidi a free .

Go through my earlier comments

Okay, when Iwobi was on the pitch, tell me something extra he added to the field of play

Tell me a notable significant impact he has had

Tell me (since group stages of AFCON) when Iwobi's es proved dangerous for the opposition and it led to a goal for Nigeria

Oga, when someone is the fulcrum of the teams midfield, he must be able to get blamed. It's a requirement of the job.

The truth is Iwobi is an overrated player. Same with Ndidi. Same with Moses Simon and definitely Chukwueze

Left to me, it's either these set of players should yansh down on the bench or not even get a call up again

It's called am opinion and I'm entitled to mine
