There are 9 groups. Thw nest 4 second placed teams will play semifinal and then final to choose one of the 4 for intercontinental playoff where they will face teams in similar shoe frkm CONMEBOL, OFC etc. The ultijmate wihnner then qualify for world cup.

There is nothing wrong with the formation.
It's all about pressing and players that know how to use small spaces.
If you watch the super eagles u will noticed during defending its like all man press, irrespective of the position. The real formation comes in when we attack. U will notice Simon going wild. And Lookman slotting in to like he does in atalanta like a false 9.
The only person jot fitting is CHUKWUEZE. Somebody like UCHE or if we had Eze would have exploited those spaces.

We are still far from best loser as well.

One change that would have helped Chelle a lot would have been one of the young defenders for Ekong because we had several opportunities to push up and trap our opponents over the two games but Ekong retreats afraid of the space behind him thereby giving our opponents breathing space, that also explains the space in midfield because Osimhen presses tight to the defenders, Ekong retreats behind the center line leaving a lot of space for Chukwueze, Iwobi and Ndidi to man, Chai I'm so down

The key to world cup qualification is to start on a good note. Algeria, a star studded team started on a bad note and before they knew it thw pressure was too much.

Finidi and Peseiro got us here because the players could not score and play possession football..

SE cannot dominate Africa with players that are getting past their prime and too old to be in the SE..

England has lost 2 Euro finals can you call that dominating Europe..

if the SE reaches the final of the AFCON and loses it again then what's the point of dominating..

SE should be out-scoring teams and winning matches that is only when SE can say they dominate..

Ball possession has never been our problem.

Right from the days of Rohr, we have been dominating possession against most African opponents.
