It does not work like that. The court has to approve that. A president can't assume his actions have overridden the supreme court. Does it even connect to you?

Emergency rule gives a president broad powers as may be required to restore normalcy that is why it has to be sanctioned by the national assembly.

You people don’t seem to understand the implication or definition of the word “emergency”. A 14 month stalemate between the governor and the house preventing normal functioning of government and threat of impeachment leading to breakdown of law and order and economic sabotage is the emergency. In which case the source of the emergency ( the governor and the house) needs to be temporarily taken out to douse tensions.

Lesson: Don’t put yourself in a place where they can declare emergency rule on you. Emergency by definition means the suspension of normal operations. If you are the cause of the emergency then you can be suspended…..until decided otherwise by the Supreme Court.

Emergency Act is enshrined in every constitution in the world. It does not matter wether you like or hate who the power resides with.

The people who wrote the consitution, recognizes how powerful that power is and the check and balance are the same thing needed to IMPEACH A SITTING PRESIDENT.
