People ask questions like kindergartens. This is state of emergency, certain normal rules won't be followed. Or were you people expecting him not to have any money to work with for six months? |

God bless Governor Fubara for now owing workers and executing project here and there despite the challenges. It was also noted that fubara never borrowed for the 2 years as Governor. For those politicians believing that only to embezzled public fund is their right, Tony Anenin, Adedibu, all old politicians who are no more. None of you will last the next 50 years, your time will surely come. Shalom. 1 Like |

Amumaigwe:Supreme Court gave an order to AGF and CBN and gave reasons. The reasons have been overridden by turn of events legally ed therefore the order is automatically vacated. It doesn't require applying to supreme Court for vacation of the order. Do you think that if Tinubu withheld the funds, fubara, Atiku, Obi, PDP etc would have invited the whole world. We should always reason and reduce biase. |

Vision101: It does not work like that. The court has to approve that. A president can't assume his actions have overridden the supreme court. Does it even connect to you? |
TheGoodJoe(m): 10:02pm On Mar 21 |
chipet67: Apply to the court. It is that simple. The president did not because they know they are breaking the law all through. |

Strategy in place to reverse the wage increases by Fubara, pity the pensioners who were ignored for the last 8 years. Fubara wanted to rehabilitate the portharcourt Zoe and the state radio service just like he did to the fire service , all that ii pipe dream now. Hope he enjoys his stay in Bayelsa. |

ddippset: Budget and spending is backed by what. ? "The Law and constitution. Which says the Governor must present to the house" During State of Emergency, the President wields some crazy powers. Try and read and educate youself. If I were you , i will take time to google and check Presdential Possibilities during a State of Emergency instead of arguing like a blind man and an extremely ignorant person. Separate Knowledge from the position u and read fact so u dnt d1e ignorant with empty head. |

billyG: Emergency rule gives a president broad powers as may be required to restore normalcy that is why it has to be sanctioned by the national assembly. You people donāt seem to understand the implication or definition of the word āemergencyā. A 14 month stalemate between the governor and the house preventing normal functioning of government and threat of impeachment leading to breakdown of law and order and economic sabotage is the emergency. In which case the source of the emergency ( the governor and the house) needs to be temporarily taken out to douse tensions. Lesson: Donāt put yourself in a place where they can declare emergency rule on you. Emergency by definition means the suspension of normal operations. If you are the cause of the emergency then you can be suspendedā¦..until decided otherwise by the Supreme Court. āThe President shall immediately after the publication, transmit copies of the Official -Gazette of the Government of the Federation containing the proclamation including the details of the emergency. to the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, each of whom shall forthwith convene or arrange for a meeting of the House of which he is President or Speaker, as the case may be, to consider the situation and decide whether or not to a resolution approving the Proclamation.ā 1 Like |

AntiWailer:This is just the problem I keep having with you people. You act like some robots who can't even reason proactively for yourselves.. All I keep hearing is "during emergency rule the President wields crazy powers" Think out of that empty box in your head for a second and ask yourself why any leaders should have crazy or extraordinary powers under any guise in this 21st century.? Little kids in China and America are reasoning and making progress in Inventions, Philosophy, Governance while old old men in Nigeria are still stuck in their old ways.. Shame on you! No human leader anywhere in the world should possess "crazy" powers under any guise. Not in this 21st century. |
AntiWailer: 10:23am On Mar 22 |
ddippset: Shame on you and the chronic ignorance. In an attempt to act smart u want to think outside the box of Law. I wish that is how it works, constitution would be changing per second all in the name of 'silly' out of the box thinking. You actually acted but could not conclude the smart part. Again before you droll with spits, Go and read, Emergency Act is enshrined in every constitution in the world. It does not matter wether you like or hate who the power resides with. The people who wrote the consitution, recognizes how powerful that power is and the check and balance are the same thing needed to IMPEACH A SITTING PRESIDENT. 2/3rd REP, 2/3rd SENATE That is why there has to be agreement with the other arms of Government. Instead of u crying , just blame the Senate and House of Rep that endorsed it. |
