He explained that he spent 7,000 naira on a trip to Mushin, whereas that amount could have taken him to Lagos Island.

He went on to express his frustration, saying that 200 naira can now only get a very tiny portion of puff-puff. When he attempted to buy garri for 200 naira, he was told the minimum amount he could get was 400 naira. "How do people even eat?" he wondered aloud. He also noted that pure water, which used to cost just 20 naira, is now selling for 50 naira.

What makes his reaction even funnier is the way he speaks Pidgin English, frequently hissing in frustration as he expresses himself. The video, shared by his wife on their Instagram page, has since gone viral, attracting a lot of reactions.

I was telling someone recently that access to clean water is very expensive in Nigeria now. Though, everything is on the high side, but ordinary water shouldn't be too expensive. The government needs to look into that.

You may not have enough food, but clean water shouldn't be on that list. Water remains the spring of life! How can 75cl of some bottled water brand go as high as N300? A satchet of water N30?

Again, NAFDAC should investigate some of these pure water factories. They're killing Nigerians slowly with their bad and unhygienic practices. Is the chemical deposition/ toxins in pure water from the cellophane wrapper safe for humans? I think NAFDAC has a lot to do but they're too lazy.
