All the companies did was to move to another country and continue their business targetting china from there via the internet.

Yes, china has some of the strictest internet controls in the world....they did not work here.

Even advertising,....all they did was start doing shirt sponsorship on EPL teams shirts. (though that will end next year...UK government clamping down along with the football authorities). And since the EPL is popular in china...and the chinese government can't ban broadcasts without starting riots...
