No
babadydx: 4:49pm On Mar 07
Boss that is they are very lazy most, also they scrutinize visiting visa too much coupled with they have quotas to meet yearly.
I when Schengen gave me Two months visa despite having UK residency and putting lots of funds in the lloyds bank and paying for service, I ended up not going cause I cant be treated like trash for whatever reason.

Okay. Thanks. I don't want to include their bank s since they are both retired long time ago. I am the sponsor for their trip and I hope presenting my bank statement and payslips would suffice or most I show my parents earnings?

@eniola1010 send paid mail. This was a mistake.

I sent a paid mail like u suggested.
An agent replied me and he said they dont have the power to look at the refusal message bcus its sent directly to the applicant, but he gave me a link to express my frustration, www.gov.uk/complain-uk-visas-immigration.

They said they will get back in 20days.
I just want to ask is this the same link everyone on the thread have been using to appeal?
Thanks so much

Good evening my boss, please I was given cos on December 3rd and I did biometric on January 8, the Visa was issued on 25th February and I told my employer that I will resume on the 26 this month in which I have already booked my flight. A friend just told me now that cos use to expire if not used within 3 months of issue. Please will this affect me because my cos is more than 3 months now.

Read the dates written on your visa vignette and stop listening to your friend. Usually, you’ll have three months from the date of visa issue to travel to the UK. The three months does not count from when the COS was issued — it’s from when the visa was granted.

At all. The cos has been used for the visa application already and so has a visa attached to it. Only unused COS I.e COS not used to apply for a visa within a certain time expire.

Is your question concerning self sponsorship routes for nurses or about visitor visa?
For the Visitor's visa:
If you have a sponsor, then you should be fine, however, showing you have your own money makes your application more credible. Also, your proof of funds must match what you claim to be doing (occupation), and you should be able to prove that you have a strong tie to your country.

Thanks for your response, it's the selfsponsorship route through visiting visa.

I heard it's necessary to book a return ticket for a visit visa if not you might have issue with border patrol. House pls which airline has flexible booking that you can easily amend your return date incase of a change in plans?

Not only UK border force. I know british airways won't let you board from lagos without a return booking. I think all major airlines allow date amendment after booking but try to check the ticket conditions before booking and make sure you book direct with the airline and not through agents like wakanow etc

Hello, Is it possible for someone to apply for a visit visa, if their statement is less than 6 months because they have not worked up to 6 months in their new job or their business is less than 6 months? Thanks

A 6-month bank statement is the standard requirement for a UK visa, but I have seen people whose visas were approved even though they used bank statements with shorter durations.

But note that what works for A might not necessarily work for B.

This is not true. There is nowhere that UKVI or the Home Office has published a “standard requirement” for how many months your bank statement should be. People just go with six months because the immigration authorities of some other countries specifically ask for that. So it became a rule of thumb, so to speak.

Having read through many, many refusal letters, I am yet to see anyone where the ECO highlighted the length of the bank statement. It’s always the content of the statement that matters.

You are correct that the UKVI does not specify the length or duration of the bank statement to be used.

I used the word "standard" rather than "official." However, the majority of people, especially in this part of the world are following the practice, which is to use a 6-month bank statement for UK visa applications, especially those without travel history.

When you visa is refused. When you go to pick it up at vfs, would only the port be returned or the refusal letter will also be included in the return envelope?

Good day everyone one.

Please for someone with 4 years work visa.

1. Will you be required to book RETURN TICKET?

2. If it is ONE WAY TICKET how much is the estimated cost?

Flight booking is not a requirement when applying for a UK visit visa, but when traveling out to the UK with a visit visa, evidence of a return ticket is a must.

As per UKVI, some types of documents are not useful as evidence in visit applications. These include:

- Bank statements or letters issued more than 1 year before the date of application

- Credit card statements
- Driver’s license
- Educational certificates that are not listed as required for your visa
- Evidence of car ownership
- Personal photographs
- Notary certificates
- Business cards
- Hotel bookings
- Flight bookings (unless transiting)
- Photocopies of bank cards
- Certificate relating to leisure activities
- Travel insurance insurance
- Sponsor’s utility bills
- Sponsor’s council tax bills

Google visawaze for very good information on UK visa for Nigerians. There are no real guidelines for a UK visitor visa but generally quoted in the guide is 3 months bank statements. 6 months is good and gives you a better chance. You need to provide evidence that you can financially yourself. If less than would be good to provide evidence from a UK sponsor

Those case workeers are weed smokers
eniola1010:

What happened to the application or relevant info submitted? Is it pof, is it work ref letter, is it education degree, is it payslips, agent no talk which of them he get issue with.

What about the travel history? The person has never left nigeria before is that a taboo?

No interview was done with the person or the person’s sponsor?

No detailed reason
So how exactly is one supposed to correct whatever the agent found wrong when i re-apply?
