I have already gotten the event tickets and want to apply for canada visa in April, but the stories I am hearing about rejection rate is alarming. Because I don't want to waste my time and money. I am worried, I don't want to add visa rejection to my record, lol. I am a content creator, don't work for anyone but myself, the event is a day event for people in my line of work. Surely, I am coming back to the UK after the event. I hope the will issue me the visa?

Why are you making it look like being in Canada to work is trap and one cannot visit their home country. Don't you know that visiting your home country and returning gives you more credibility as a Foreign immigrant. If you have an active work or study permit and you can apply for TRV or if the one you have when entering is valid you can travel out of Canada and return back. Stop making it look like living in Canada as a foreign immigrant is a trap.

Hi, As a Nigerian(your Nigerian port is in place too): All you need is to buy a ticket. Do be aware that at port of entry, your work permit will be reviewed again ( eg pof, etc, all this questions are 50:50) and hopefully issued.Re-entry is like getting it the first time. So going is not a concern and i will advise that the reason for travelling out of canada is important, makes sense to anyone and all documents and information are intact! Thanks

You mean this is automatic refusal even when the person has Included their inviter’s Citizenship ports , pay cheque, house docs, proof of relationship etc?

He must submit his statement of also. His statement of must show reasonable sum, also avoid lump sum. he must also show evidence of source of funds. He needs to prove his home and economic ties beyond every reasonable doubt. He must write a strong SOP to convince the visa officer that he will return back at the end of the program, while also providing documented evidence for every little detail. Good luck to him.

For clarity sake, i never said a Nigerian cannot travel back home! A work permit is a temporary visa and if you or anyone has one, you will be told at port of entry that anytime you travel out of canada, it will be revalidated and re+issued. So, with stricter rules around Canadian immigration, i mentioned that the concern should be on re-entry cos border officer now have authority to cancel and deny. I ed someone being asked a few questions where as, i was asked none. Of course, i didn't wait to know whether he is eventually given. In fact, we met there and as guys, startled talking n which led to me knowing what happened btw him n the officer n stuff.
Temporary visa is temporary, until things get soft with immigration, my opinion is be mindful. Thanks

home ties (apart from the job),

You can't pickup stamped port on behalf of an applicant.

My former colleague applied from UK in Feb last year. As at last month (about a year) approval was yet to drop until I asked him to attach an update on his UK job (50k pounds per year) he got and then the vacation trip to Europe they had.

Immediately he did the above, PPR dropped after 2 weeks.

Their PoF is about 40k CAD for family of four.

It think about a week after its confirmed to have arrived their office in lagos. I used dhl and was tracking its movement. Lagos n then abuja i think and back to lagos. I allowed some days no message n i sent a message on twitter. Within 24 hours, i got d message, ready for pickup.
Just checked: after 2 weeks i sent the message.My message captured my tracking number and my name for reference purpose.

Please, I need advice regarding my cousin’s visitor visa application. She applied in October 2023 through an agent, but since then, there has been no update. The agent keeps saying “nothing yet” and refuses to provide her details for the IRCC .

Is there any way for her to check the status of her application herself? Can she recover access to the or request GCMS notes to know what is going on?
