The problem here is irrepairable damage! By going to the media she has diminshed the senate, her husband and her entire relationship with the Akpabios. The events she claimed consitutes harrassment were not made known to the Ethics neither did her husband at any point in time raise the issue with the mutual friends they shared with the Akpabios, don't you find that SUSPICIOUS?
The real question here is what type of investigation can actually confirm or disprove her case? Absence of a voice or video recording or witnesses she's at a huge disadvantage and I believe this is why seh went to the media rather than follow the chain of command or Senate bylaws!
Great point!!! How can you harass my wife, and I know about it, and I did nothing about it, and continued with our friendship. The husband confirmed he has been calling Akpabio lately to move his wife back to local contents, but Akpabio refused, and when that didn't work, they started claiming sexual harassment to try to bring down the Senate President.
If she could lie that Reno sexually harassed her, what makes you think she won't do the same to Akpabio when she's not getting her way?

Do me a favour. If you work in a reputable organisation and you are in a leadership role - go and do this to a lady. handle her hands and tell her you can make her happy. A man in a position of leadership should be responsible and intelligent enough not to do certain things.

This narrative is sad because it doesn't exactly capture the situation. Noticed BBC Nigeria also did this. It is not healthy.
We should whoever we feel like but lets always give credence to the exact happenings not twist it.
Again, I am neither for Akapbio nor Natasha.
But she wasn't suspended because she came up with sexual assailt allegations. She was suspended for her unruly behavior during plenary.
The sexual assault allegation came afterward and on AriseTV. Her colleagues didn't watched the interview like we all did.
Anyone who chooses can discern that in a bid not to face sanctions by the ethics committee for her behavior during plenary, she chose to divulge the sexual assault claims.
That issue is in court because that's where she lodged it and the hearing will begin soon.

What you are saying is akin to saying that we should explain everything we say. When the Senate President said he sent a prayer to the mail, it could also mean anything 
The best is to let them investigate the matter. If she is found lying, let her suffer the same fate for a man falsely accused. Any man that is sure of himself will dare her to prove herself. Look at how Fayemi immediately released a press statement to clear his name yesterday.
The lady has also been smart enough to go to the media to talk about the sexual allegations and she has played her cards well. She first told Berekete that she has been holding so many things and will say it at the appropriate time and later she went to Arise to say the things.
If you have sisters or daughters, you will understand what women face, whether they are manipulators or not. Since you know the game as a man, you don't give them that chance. The conduct of the SP and his defence whereby you attack the person, her character and personal life and not the issue at hand makes it more suspicious. Some women backed that UNN girl and alleged that the lecturer could be harassing her but we saw how the man's character stood up for him. I didn't agree with the man trying to take her phone by force but her conduct was what made her suspended from UNN. Senate is talking about rules of the Senate but they are not looking at the impact of that allegation on the society. You are doing the same thing by trying to be technical when an investigation can solve the problem.
The Binance man accused our legislators of bribing him. You think these things just go away like that? He too could lying but what it means is that you don't have people of honor representing you.
The lack of emotional intelligence in the Senate really worries me. This could and should have been handled much better. The optics is really not good but I suspect they are too arrogant to be wise in how they approach and handle the manner. After all which common man can touch them?

The issue is not whether she's manipulating anybody, but that the matter wasn't investigated and Natasha wasn't given a fair hearing.
Whether she's a manipulator or not, she deserves a fair hearing, and Akpabio cannot be the judge in this matter. Outrightly dismissing her claims gives predators more opportunity to dismiss sexual offenses. Unfortunately for you, such cases can affect anyone. If Natasha's case can be dismissed on the grounds of it lacking merit without any form of investigation, I sincerely hope that the women in your life are valued more than Natasha.

Her case cannot be handled by legislators, only the judiciary. So the case is still very much in court. And the court will give her hearing later, when she will tender her evidence to prove it.

2 senators decamped and moved to APC which affected the sitting position of 10 senators, including Natasha.
She refused to go to her new seat. The other senators moved to their new seats.
