Yes, I also experienced this issue with my dad. If you create an application and you go back and forth too much maybe because it’s showing duplicate applicant, when you eventually proceed, it would have created multiple s for the same and when you pay for one, you won’t be able to proceed to the calendar especially because I paid using card.

I had to cancel that appointment, forfeit the money (because I paid with card) and restart again.

That’s why I advised people stuck on the duplicate applicant thing, to first cancel the current application before using the first name and middle name combo, because if you proceed using the previous application, the application would have created multiple s on that application.

If you do canceling after already making payment, you'll forfeit the payment. That seems to be the only way out now. And it's funny that the releases from the Embassy keeps saying you do not have to pay again after encountering technical issues, that one should raise a service request. Whereas, the service requests desk seems overwhelmed.

Thank you. I tracked his application status using his DS160 number and port information on the ceac status website, when it was issued, I constantly checked the oisservice website to see if his port was ready, when it was ready, I set up an appointment for pickup, they didn’t send him any email notification.

It's more than 10 working days and I haven't seen any notification.

Go to https://appointment.oisservices.com/, service type: US visa, pick up service, enter your port number, it will tell you if your port is ready or not.

If ready, it will tell you where it is and you can set up an appointment for the location you want to pick it up from. You have to pay for the OIS option, so if you want to pick it up for free, choose DHL.

Hello everyone,

So after mounting so much pressure and creating countless ticket for not able to use my GTB MRV to book appointment it has finally been resolved Today...
And i am glad to let you all know that i i have booked my appointment for October 6th, but i will still like to know if anyone can enlighten me on how to reschedule to get earlier date and also... i want to know if correction can be made on my DS160 or if i fill another DS160 can i still use it for this same appointment...

I will really appreciate if anyone can help or guild me through this...

Hi,

Congratulations on crossing the first hurdle. I am sure you must be relieved that your appointment has now been scheduled.

You cannot correct an already submitted DS 160. You can only fill a fresh one and yes, you can use it for the same appointment.

To update your DS 160:
1. Fill a new DS 160
2. to your AVITS profile
3. Create a ticket and the confirmation page of the new DS 160

, your DS 160 and port photograph needs to be 6 months or less at the time of your appointment. If your appointment is in October, then you need to refill the DS 160 sometime in or after April.

Yes, go to the OIS office and see if it’s ready since you need it urgently.

Dear House, please has anyone here been called in for a follow up interview after a 221g notification came in after a dropbox was done? As in the embassy called them to come on a particular date? I got a notification to schedule a follow up interview but I am unable to schedule the date on Avits...the button is not there to reschedule.

Please if you were able to reschedule on avtis, how did you do it? If you sent them an email and they responded, how did you do that as well? Than you.

Open a ticket on the avits platform and tell them you are trying to reschedule an appointment after 221g. They would work on it from their end and you would eventually be able to reschedule an appointment

Try a Visa card, that was what I used. US Mastercard didn’t work.
