Please what is so special of being US citizen?
What is so special about being a US citizen is that you won't be crying because of bad road, epileptic power supply, valueless currency and bad government and many more and still come back to Nigeria when you wish to

Neo-black Problem: Must Blacks Be Ruled by Whites in Order to Prosper?

In short, the neo-black dilemma may be framed as follows: is it better to live under white rule without political dignity but with basic life-sustaining standards for many;

or to live under black rule with illusory political dignity and without basic life- sustaining standards for the majority?

The path forward for Africa lies in cultivating higher and adequate levels of personal and communal agential integrity as well as full personal responsibility and productivity. Not to mention creativity (including epistemic creativity), productive justice (such as merit and freedom), harmony and reconciliation at local and international levels, and a proper domestication of capitalism and other related values and institutions.

Africa must stop wasting her time on dreams of socialism because it is a system of wealth distribution primarily. Whereas, capitalism is a system of wealth creation primarily, and wealth has to be produced before it can be distributed.

Wow... Congrats to him. I wonder if the day will ever come when people will celebrate like this when granted citizenship of Nigeria or other African countries.
That day will come.

If individuals, like this fellow, are so joyous and proud of becoming US citizens, one would think they just hit the jackpot..

As for me,

"I love my country

I no go lie

Na inside am I go live and die" - Prof. Wole Soyinka.

Do you still this Nollywood actor, Emma Odele? He used to be very good in acting the roles of a hitman or a bodyguard for an evil politician. He is now a citizen of the United States. Mr Odele was granted US citizenship yesterday, 26 February, 2025.

A big congratulations to him!
I still watch his movies this morning

Ask your uncles and aunties here.

Apart from "Mortal Inheritance" in the early days of Nollywood, I don't sit down to watch Nigerian movies.

It is too slow for me. I can always predict the next scene and the bad acting puts me off.

So I unapologetically do not know him and many others like him.

As long as Nigerians continue to vote thieves and murderers into public office, it's never going to happen.

Try to always think before you speak.

This is my 18th year on nairaland.

As at 2007 when this man started acting , i was already working my 3rd year in a bank as a university graduate.

And this is coming from a guy whose family had a Movie theater in 1989 when VCR and Colored Televisions were just landing in Nigeria.
