Their revenue fell to $344 million from $539m in the previous year, that's not a $344m revenue loss, they just made less profit than they did last year...

In other words, Airtel made $344 million, they didn't lose $344 million.

Exactly what I want to say here .. question is how many telecom companies in the world makes $1b in nine months in a year..this people are sucking us dry..they didn't make a loss they made lesser profit due to Naira "semi flotation".

Official increments in the pricing just means Nigerians are paying double for same service

This is because the way the data deplete is already in their advantage and now they increase the price.

LMAO! I when I was using Glo like 5 years ago, if I want to movie, I will have to go to my bus stop, cos that's where good Glo network was. I'm sure people would be wondering back then why I always used to just stand at my bus stop for several minutes, and then go back home. grin

How does a surge in data per not result in increased date revenues!? Where did the extra data they used come from? The sky?

The OP's headline is misleading. They didn't declare any losses. Their revenue, measured in dollars, was lower than the previous year. This is understandable, given that they charge for their service in Naira, which has lost almost 100% of its value over the past year.

That question should be for your uncles at home. Did you even read the post at all or you just didn't understand?

Better go back to the useless school you attended and get a refund cos your cognitive elasticity seems to be limited.

Obviouslyblunt:
Glo is yet to increase prices but the rate at which they zap their data.

Mtn is the worst In greed. Yet they still zap data like mad.

9mobile, not even worth mentioning. No service for 4 months. You’ll get service for a week, and it’s back to NO SERVICE for another 4 months.

Haven’t tried Airtel.

9mobile are barely above water right now, they are in serious crisis. Vendors are owed, they can't even fuel most of their base stations, owing bank debt etc..
I hope they recover.

Revenue fell to $344m, which is not the same as posting a $344m loss... who are these reporters? Revenue went from $539m to $344m which is a decline of $195m. A decline does not mean loss...it could be a decline in profit. We need better reporters in Nigeria. To those aspiring, please stay in school and use AI or Grammarly as needed.

The education you received and the education the next 10 generations that will come from you will receive when put together will not equal the educational and professional exposure I have received by virtue of the type of training and job I do!

Next time before you open your dirty stinking buccal cavity to criticize what I took time to write be sure that your brain and cognitive faculties are working well! angry

Other commenters who know what to look out for have agreed with me and you're here writing rubbish because you want to show that you know how to talk when in actual fact you know nothing! angry
