Sorry about the refusal. Is it clear from your bank statement that your salary was paid each month? If so, this is a mistake from UKVI, and you must make a complaint to them.

Send an email to [email protected]. Tell them that your application was clearly not well considered, considering the fact that you provided something which they are saying was not provided. Ask them to take a second look at the application. They will do that and get back to you.

I cannot guarantee that they will grant the visa. They might come back and deny for a different reason. But their current reasoning of not providing evidence of salary payment is false, so you must complain.

Let us know how it goes, if you feel so inclined.

I have sent an email as advised and I also drafted a letter and sent it via DHL, although it is still in transit to the home office UK.
But I got a decision email notification from VFS today, should I wait to get from my Complaints before picking up my port?

Hello everyone,

Has anyone used royal air maroc before, are they good, any bad experience?

Also, what quantity of luggage can they carry?
Budget airline. On both legs, no IFE and their food is just average, but in total travel time of 10+ hours, you're in LGW or LHR.

Next cheap is Kenya, ET

My visa was refused! Actually, my undoing was listening to an agent that claimed i needed to have enough money in my bank that will be enough for the journey to and fro despite having a sponsor that has committed 7k to her savings towards the duration of my stay. And so, he cajoled me into getting a POF of 5m that was lodged into a microfinance bank he created for me. My intention is to go write the OSCE for nurses. Thank God i found this thread and it's been an eye opener so far.

These are my worries right now...

1) Can i totally ditch the POF the agent created for me and focus solely on my salary for the next three months?. This is so that i'd have explainable salary credits and lesser expenses. I earn about 180k.

2) What's the best way to receive additional money for from my husband and other people(family and friends)? in which would the send the money to? salary or the POF the agent created?. I don't know how the agent did it but there were transactions in the covering a period of 6 months. Meaning, when i ed in June, they created a bank with POF of 5m and transactions starting from January.

My affinity with the POF is that, it is now automatically in their database and if i now present only my salary this second time, won't it raise any inconsistency issues?

I'd appreciate any response that can aid my not being refused a second time. I really don't want my IELTS to expire

Hi

I intend to invite my mum. She runs a small shop. This business is not ed. How should i present her application. Bear in mind that i will be fully sponsoring her visit.
giselle237:

Unfortunately been salaried and also self employed at same time are quite tricky for visa applications. If you want to be considered on both, I am unsure if you provided full documentation for both- providing business in isolation does not guarantee that this business automatically got considered as a source of income.
It is not about ‘saying’ something … it is about proofs…
What about this business did you prove?
ECO clearly spoke about only salary earning. Unfortunately I do not see how you want to reapply without doing your own homework first and arranging the economic circumstances you are presenting.
Okots: 1:59pm On Feb 20
What were you buying and selling that resulted to large deposits and withdrawals shown in your savings/business and why couldn't you provide receipts to prove this?
I sell woods, I have a ed company co- owned by my hubby and i and is active in CAC. I added receipts for sale but didn't add receipts for buying, my bad.

Government establishments Salaries are very low, u combine side hustles with the job to meet up with responsibilities.

You should retrieve your port. You don’t know how long it would take the Home Office to get back to you, so don’t let your port unnecessarily sit with them.

In the event that UKVI changes course and decides to grant your visa, they will ask you to resubmit your port to VFS for stamping.

It might help if you share the refusal letter so people can give better-tailored suggestions. However, from what you’ve written, these are my opinions:

1. Forget that agent completely. As you have now learned, most of them are completely useless. They might not only lead to your visa being denied, but they might also do things that could get you banned for 10 years.

2. Since you are going for an exam, being unable to afford the trip (and therefore having a sponsor) is fine. Still, you must paint a picture of your own circumstances here in Nigeria. Since you are working, add a letter from your employer granting you leave to write the exams. Attach your employment letter and salary slips for at least three months.

3. Use your salary alone. Let the only credits be your salary, and the debits should correspond to whatever answer you give for the “how much do you spend each month” question.

4. Add your sponsor’s statement. Add proof of your relationship with them and why they are interested in you writing these exams. Add what they do for a living and how much they earn. Note that your sponsor’s statement would be subject to the same scrutiny; there should be no unexplained large deposits beyond their normal income.

5. Ditch the micro finance . This part might be tricky because I don’t know exactly what you claimed in your application. How did you explain coming across this money? Still, I think you can ignore it, and you’ll probably be fine.

Sadly it is not a job for the ECO to know if Nigerian government jobs are low paid and how people augment their salaries with anything else.
The onus is on you actually to prove to them that you qualify for the visa applied for- and if so how…
Adding sales receipts is not all it takes @okots

Good day, I want to apply for visiting visa (ist time). My husband intends to sponsor my trip with 1.8mn. Is it advisable he puts the money in my clearly stating the narration before printing my statement or on the application I should just note I've a sponsor and mention how much he will be sponsoring me with.
If he puts the money in my , should I still mention I've a sponsor on the application?
Thanks

Your husband should not put the money in your . Mention that you have a sponsor and fill in his details. Don’t forget to also add your own bank statement and employment situation, as it is your own circumstances the ECO will use to determine if you qualify for the visa.

My sister and auntie used them on Sunday from lagos to Manchester. The Lagos to Casablanca route they said was really nice it was a bigger plane and lots of engers (about 500) I don’t know why. But the food was horrible.
The Casablanca to Manchester leg was also really good they said. Their luggage came all together no issues with that.
They each had 23kg x 2

Thank you so much for your prompt response. In fact, going through the pages of this forum alone, i've learnt in two days what took me six months to understand. And, I can say agents are clueless of people's personal circmstances. They think it is "one size fits all".

Yes, I have all my documents intact, the only docment i'll be getting again is the letter of introduction from my employer which most times involves bureaucratic process.

3. Use your salary alone. Let the only credits be your salary, and the debits should correspond to whatever answer you give for the “how much do you spend each month” question.
Here's my plan for the next 3 months, kindly, help assess it.

Opening balance for feb = 500k( i'd print from 16th feb)
Expenses so far in feb = 70k
salary in feb = 182k
closing balance for feb = 612k

***********
Opening balance for March = 612k
Expenses in March = 70k
Salary in March = 182k
Closing balance for March= 724k

***********
Opening balance for April = 724k
Expenses in April = 70k
Salary in April = 182k
Closing balance for April= 836k

And then, how do i navigate the part where they ask for additional income? What would i select there? Although, within these 3 months, my husband would most likely send some money for towards the exam.

4. Add your sponsor’s statement. Add proof of your relationship with them and why they are interested in you writing these exams. Add what they do for a living and how much they earn. Note that your sponsor’s statement would be subject to the same scrutiny; there should be no unexplained large deposits beyond their normal income.
Noted

5. Ditch the micro finance . This part might be tricky because I don’t know exactly what you claimed in your application. How did you explain coming across this money? Still, I think you can ignore it, and you’ll probably be fine.

Truth is, there was no cover letter written to back up anything other than the fact that he answered that the Total amount of regular additional income that i get in a year is 5m. Hope my application will not be seen as inconsistent if i do not tender this again? What better way would you suggest i go about answering that question?

You can say she is a home maker and full time house wife since she is an older individual. Her ties back home will be her husband and other family back home. If there are properties and assets in her name, include them. Stress on her family ties.

@ Estherrachy

Your plan for the next three months with respect to your bank statement will work perfectly fine.

From the refusal letter you posted, it seems the 5 million was claimed as additional income from family and friends. You can leave it out in your next application. When it asks if you have any additional income or savings, just select NO. Only tender your salary statement that accurately reflects what you’ve outlined in your plan for the next three months.

Again, make sure the sponsor’s is clean, so they don’t shift from complaining about yours to complaining about the sponsor.

In your next application, you should address the refusal reasons. Just say you made mistakes when filling the application, leading you to erroneously input money received from family as additional income. I believe you should be fine.

You allowed an agent to mess up your application and possibly your immigration profile.

I Suggest you forget about reapplying until you are financially capable to do that. As it stands your chances of getting a visa in the next 6months is limited.

I was sent a refusal email not long ago.
I am going to the UK for a fully funded training. I attached my payslip, salary ,letter from my employer, letter from the organisation sponsoring, family photos (I have 4 kids)
I am going with my 3 months old baby and my husband supplied letter of and his statement of .
I clearly explained that I work for the government and other private facilities at my convenience and I explained their payments in my salary . So I don't know why I was refused. Because the dollar they complained about is savings and I explained that to preserve the value of my money I put some of my savings in a dollar saving that was why I attached it to my application. This is my second application, the first they refused me because I didn't attach my savings. I don't know what these guys want ooo.
Please I need help on how to go about this.

You have blurred out all essential details… I can’t make sense of what the ECO was trying to say as regards your economic circumstances- it however looks like a case of money lodgement to boost your chances to get the visa.
Also who is sponsoring this trip and why?
What purpose is this trip and for 1 month and 8 days- who would look after your 3 month old when you are doing the training?

Good evening house,

I applied for Uk visit visa on the 28th of January , 2025. I received a mail from VKVI on the 13th of February, 2025, stating that they were unable to make a decision on my application within the published visa processing time.

Till date, no update from them. I hope everything is alright ? Because I’m worried . I just hope it ends in praise.

1.It's a training fully sponsored by a university in the UK and they sent the relevant documents which I ed and they also sent them an email notifying them
2. The plan was to use the university childcare facility when I get there and I have reached out to friends who promised to linked me up with their own children carers
Or is there any other way I could have made arrangement that I could have submitted because I don't have family there to leave her with.

I explained everything in the cover letter. My salary showed the earnings which were later converted to dollars and this was explained. I feel these guys are biased already and don't bother reading our documents. Everything was explained except for the child care which I left out since I didn't have any documents to show who I was going to leave her with. The plan was to use the university (sponsors) childcare facility or get some one when I get there. I appreciate your response and thank you once again

I was awarded a fully sponsored scholarship to have a fellowship programme to be completed for 1 year but I must go to the UK University for the above duration for an on-site training then do the remaining training virtually. Okay.
They don’t see the program as necessary or you didn’t provide enough documentation to prove why you need to have this fellowship, why you need to even go to the UK etc
if you have a look at sokotogudal’s letter when he was going for his plab 2 exam you will understand the need to emphasise on all these.
In light of the above and purpose of trip, did your employer provide any further clarification as to granting you leave for this period to travel and that you would be returning to the job and they have no objections?
You also can not have multiple sources of income according to you- and feel just by writing a cover letter they will take your version- everything has to be backedup by further documentation.
Also it appears your financial circumstances are very low from your salaried job- so all the other private jobs you claim to be doing are appearing suspicious- like I said money lodgement.
Is there no way to leave the baby with your family while you travel for 1 month or postpone the fellowship until your child is over 6 months and probably unto solid foods??.
In summary, it is one thing to have a fully sponsored scholarship true- but if your personal circumstances are not great- you will be denied because the ECO feels you can as well get to the UK and decide not to return to your job with low income etc
