Your reality is not the general experience of Nigerians.
This is not a government project but private, aside from complaining and nagging like a bad wife, what have you done for Nigeria?
Idiot what platform has Nigeria given to him to do something. Aside stealing his common wealth and his platform to perform and contribute his quota.of human resource... ..U...are bloody slave...and will die as a slave

Sounds more ambitious than what our government can do.

6 years kwa? Too much a period for a project to be completed. It means Nigerians would still suffèr for another 6 years. This one go enter voicemail

Why not make it a multi-contractor and subcontractor project and finish it under 2 years?

@Chatinent actually does something besides his kvetching. Yet, it'll interest you to know he's one of the men expertised in destroying the nation's education sector at the tertiary level.

Pa Vitalis, as you have been told in the past - government goes well beyond Alaba market economics of simple profit making.

Government decisions on providing train services often consider more than just economic viability. While financial sustainability is important, governments also take into social benefits, public needs, and strategic importance.

Your GDP decline in the last 10 years has shown neither you or APC know jack about economics

Lmao

social benefits, public needs, and strategic importance on top borrowed funds u need to pay back? Lmao

How will kanoo that connecta Niger and Chad from Abuja in addition to Kaduna that connects north central and east command less traffic than SE that connects far less. The (road) connection between Mombasa and most of east Africa already covers what SE/SS is suppose to link onto in centeal Africa.

Your point is valid in principle and logic but greatly exaggerated to win inter regional strife in Nigeria.
Lmao you think GDP per capita is a joke?

There is a reason airline increases ticket to certain regions and still get sold out... Economics is not sentiments

Put Abuja to Kaduna at 50k let's see how many people would take the train

This is very good if they really are not joking because the dangers on the highway and the high cost of air ticket is alarming.. if this is done then I applaud this government irrespective of party sentiments

eastern region don't longer exist cause south south was maltreated by your people, so don't tag us as one. Be bold to call your region without attaching yourself to south south. Thunder will fire you anytime you add us together. If we were one, Isaac Boro will not have declared Niger delta republic that the foolish Aguyi Ironsi and the coword Ojukwu killed his boys and got him jail because they believe in one Nigerian at that time, because they were incharge of the country but after Ironsi was killed, Ojukwu later declared Biafra republic and think Nigeria will take it lightly with him.

Shut that orifice you call a mouth, you this duplicitous, conniving Igbo-hater! With this level of bile in you towards Ndigbo, it's clear you can't be from the Niger-Delta/south-south, and are most likely a Yoruba or Fulani masquerading as 'we Niger-Delta'! All this revisionism and outright lies you're peddling is a wasted effort! Had true Niger-Deltans not had the benefit of hindsight and now been able to compare and contrast their relationship with the Igbo against their relationship with the hegemonic 'masters' of Nigeria...the Yoruba and Fulani, then this false narrative you're trying to sell may have gained traction! You that feels a Niger-Deltan is not fit to occupy the office of the president of Nigeria suddenly becomes a emergency 'lover' of Niger-Deltans when you want to undermind Igbo interests and protect your hegemonic stranglehold over Nigerias' hydrocarbon resources, industry, commerce and politics!

For even thinking in that direction, I doff my hat for Tinubu, Obi can never think towards that direction. The refineries are working, Dangote refinery is also working in the LFTZ that Tinubu created. Damn, Tinubu's hand all over the place while haters keep leaving their enclaves in night buses to Tinubu's Lagos. Many things dey happen.
Wat has my comment got to do wit obi.
..to bring obi into a tinubu discussion means i shouldnt really be explaining to further as u seem incapable of reasoning beyond tribal lines

All the average Nigerian wants is availability of work, food, security and good living. You folks steal a lot already. This isn't too much to ask..

You mentioned good living

Isn't this project part of good living?

For your information, my property and thousands others were saved because they realigned it and reduced the lane. I guess you would prefer they destroy my property just to maintain the 10 lane. I got a notice of demolition around March last year but my property was eventually saved.

Secondly, they paid compensation to everyone whose property were eventually demolished. Could you believed even a mallam with container was given about 2 million naira for damages? I mentioned the mallam because I personally know him. The baale in that area made so much money because he was issuing receipts to all the property owners and even people with containers. As long as you go with that receipt , you get huge compensation for your property depending on the structure you have on it.( These people have no C of O) yet they are all compensated.

This is my personal experience.

How does this justify the reduction in the lanes? Whenever they were planning the road and budgeting, what were they thinking? Nigeria truly deserves the leaders she has with the kind of thinking people like you have.
No justification whatsoever and your excuse isn't tenable.

Don't be too comfortable thinking okp*lor eyes - a verified criminal (online and offline); will rule all that time or rule that time to build the sw, and then try to finish the great igbo tribe, which will cause igbos to scatter all those infrastructure una wan use dey make noise. Afterall, una thief nigerian money to build am.

And you somehow believed that the private sector can fund such money gulping project in Nigeria of all places? Oh, he said that fund is secured, my bad! Wait, he didn't say that! Only government can fund this kind of projects

Only government can fund such a project ,just as government funded Dangotes refinery, funded, the ongoing BUA refinery.
It is unfortunate that people like you don't even know that the private sector controls more of the economy than the FG. If your reality you don't know that they are companies out there who can sponsor this.
Hitec was going to sponsor the Lagos-Calabar coastal Road...

And read again, they have the funds ready, they are only waiting for approval

can you begin by sharing for nairaland what you have done for nigeria?

how is it not a government but private project?

how do you know the general experience of Nigerians?

what is the general experience of Nigerians?

If you read even 3 lines out of the report you would see clearly that it is a private company.
That you cannot read before running your mouth indicates stupidity.
I have allergy for that...

Nobody respects your win in either case. As for the former, majority of Igbos definitely don't respect the win. If we had the kind of assistance you guys had, even with sw and the north combined, we for win una in 6 months maximum. If igbo and core north combine even without external help, we for win una. If igbo and yorubas combine without external help, we go win una. But if una 2 combine without external help, we go win una.

So stop basking on past fluke glory. Obi sef, una no win squarely.

A time, soon enough, will come when Igbos will fight for their dignity, respect, and freedom. All those oil wells in the east and SS, will be cut off from your armor, and you cowards will have to decide to respect us or fight us; then after the dust settles- how ever long it takes, you will find out that all that infrastructure has been destroyed. Everyone will have to start from square one, then we will see if you cowards can make another HOV.

Finally a rail line that can make sense because if you put ticket at ₦50, 000 people would massively buy it... In fact it can do 20 trips daily and still be 80% filled most times

The other one is Lagos to Eastern Region rail.. Benin, warri ,port Harcourt With Branch off to Onitsha and owerri ... Even if you put ticket here at ₦50, 000 it would be 90% filled

Outside this there is no other rail system you can put the price at 20k and get 50% filled train

This is economics not sentiments
