A 36-year-old woman from Thailand, identified as Chatwisa, was transported to the hospital using a tow truck due to her severe obesity, weighing 300kg. She had called for medical assistance after experiencing breathing difficulties. Given her size, medical personnel had to use specialized vehicle towing equipment to move her from her home to receive urgent care.

A widely circulated video on social media showed nearly a dozen men lifting Chatwisa in her bed onto a vehicle. Despite the challenges, the team successfully transported her, ensuring she received immediate medical attention upon arrival at the hospital.

Chatwisa's father shared that she had struggled with weight issues throughout her life. Last year, when she reached 270kg, she became bedridden, and her condition worsened as her weight increased further.

Emergency responders arrived at her home in Ayutthaya, Thailand, on February 6 and found her lying face down on her bed, drinking sugary milk tea from a bowl beside her. Before they could move her, additional personnel were called to demolish a bedroom wall and remove a door to create an exit path.

More than 20 team carried her custom-built metal-framed bed onto a tow truck, a vehicle typically used for recovering heavy SUVs. Onlookers watched in astonishment as the truck transported her through the streets, drawing significant public attention.

She was eventually itted to Somdej Phra Sangkharat Hospital on Thursday afternoon, where doctors and nurses, shocked by her condition, immediately instructed her to stop eating.

Chatwisa explained her daily eating habits, saying, “I have rice with two omelettes for breakfast and my favourite bubble tea. I keep rice next to me all day to eat when I feel like it. Sometimes I eat that all day and my family bring me more food. I like grilled meat.”

She mentioned that she had only recently started feeling unwell. “It is only recently that I have started to feel unwell. My breathing had become slightly obstructed and I started feeling tired. But if I didn't move or speak, I would feel fine.”

She also described how the situation worsened when her air conditioning broke. “Everything was OK until the air conditioning machine broke last month. Since then I have been very hot. I tried to find a way to see a doctor, but I couldn't get a vehicle.”

Chatwisa recalled her last hospital visit, which occurred a year ago when she could still walk. “Doctors told me that I am obese. I was in the hospital for about a month with an infection then they discharged me. The doctor made an appointment, but it was difficult to get a vehicle because I was overweight, so I haven't seen him. Earlier this month, my feet became swollen, so I haven't been able to walk since then.”

Her father confirmed that she had been overweight since childhood and that her weight gradually increased to 270kg last year, leaving her bedridden. Eventually, she reached 300kg.

“Nobody has been able to help my daughter, so she remained in bed constantly, which has led to bedsores,” he said. “I was worried when she had breathing problems.”

A local rescue volunteer group attempted to arrange an ambulance for Chatwisa but was unable to remove her from the house. They provided first aid and inserted a tracheal tube to help her breathe more easily.

Rescue workers removed furniture and demolished part of the wall before transporting her. A tow truck was requested, and 20 officers, along with local volunteers, helped push her bed out of the house and onto the truck.

Chatchai Kittichai, an executive with the Ayutthaya Ruamjai Association rescue team, explained the difficulty of the situation. “When I first arrived at the house I was afraid we were too late. The patient was in a bad condition so we did emergency first aid. The only way to take her to hospital was to demolish a wall and remove a door. As the ambulance was too small, we called a breakdown rescue hydraulic truck. Without that, there was no way to transport her.”

Doctors at the hospital are currently monitoring Chatwisa’s condition. She has been placed on oxygen and an IV drip while medical professionals work on a recovery plan.

Thankfully, it's hard to find such cases here. The economy naturally takes care of that 😁😁

In a working society everyone matters, even those who have by any means, been the cause of their own misfortunes. From the shack she’s being towed from it is apparent that she isn’t from a rich family or the political class, but everyone including the govt, is working to see her live longer. No peaceful or prosperous society is built on hate! cool

No1. Did they break the wall of the hospital to get her inside?
No2. If they had been arranging someone to be giving her serious knacking, it wouldn’t have gotten to that
