I was just exploring Nigerian territory on Google Earth, and to my shock found inside the dense thick forests of southwest Nigeria, ancient towns completely surrounded by thick forest with no way out!!

Meaning they must be several thousands of years old!!

Incredible.

Are they still inhabited?

Surely not!

But who knows?

Whoever the people that are there have been cut off from the rest of the world for several generations!

OP let's go on an adventure. We might discover hidden treasures.

On second thought, that might be a bandit hideout.

There must be all kinds of minerals buried in those forests, like gold, lithium, etc.

Na to access the place be the wahala. Can you see the forest?

Bandits don't go around this side bro.

I even saw some things in that forest that I'm afraid to post. undecided

Blacks have been existing for long that even the white people couldn't know when exactly. That’s why they formulate imaginary Adam & Eve as being the first human to exist..

The first set of humans to exist are blacks..

Type ‘Eredo Ijebu’ and then outside Ijebu Ode city just start surveying the thick forests outside. You have to comb it meticulously and zoom in well or you will miss the settlements.

Wild animals?

No.

I saw what looked like a human face. Just staring up from a settlement in the thick forest.

I also saw a settlement with what looked like high tech metallic pipes with well-cut shapes, shining and neatly arranged and it was right in the middle of the forest with nothing around for thousands of miles of forest.

I suspect it’s of non-human origin.

So you mean these people don't know the way out of a forest that you think has homed them for centuries...
I'm from ikorodu and when I was a kid,I know old men then who goes into very thick to forest and only comes back after month...
These men go as far into places you never thought existed, as long as there's human existence in there, there's a pathway In there my brother..

Omo, please go on Google Earth and see for yourself.

It’s not even a question of if there is a secret pathway. Pathway to where?

These places have nothing around them but thick forest for hundreds or thousands of kilometres!

Pathway to where?

Be careful with this your 'thousands of miles' narrative undecided

For your info, Lagos to onitsha is just under 500 miles wink

There are more remote places like these ones in the southwest. That particular place might be the camp of planters and all the green vegetations you see all around might be their ganja farms. Many people don't know that Ganja farmers sabi enter forest far deeper than any Fulani herdsmen, kidnapers or bandits. They always look for where virgin land abounds and very far far away from any town, village or human habitation. Those who have been to the jungle before will understand better.

Tellmeastory:

That thing you are calling ‘Green vegetation’ and ganja farm is thick jungle in the middle of nowhere. Those are satellite images from very high up bro…😎

You are saying this because you haven't been to the jungle before. What you call thick jungle is actually the best place to plant hemp. You may not understand though. And FYI, if humans are there, then there's surely a pathway to there. I have once trekked in a jungle for 8 hours when I missed my way to oke erinmo in Osun state. There was a narrow footpath all along, but up above me was densely covered with tree branches and twigs. I waka waka reach a place where I started hearing the sound of a small generator from very far away and I kept trailing the sound. I eventually found myself in a camp where the residents told me I was in efon alaye forest in Ekiti state. That means I crossed to Ekiti from Osun for many hours in a forest without coming across any human being or habitation. But there were narrow paths throughout.
There was also this very large forest reserve that linked both oyo and Ogun states (Olokemeji, opara and imeko forest reserves). The size of this forest alone is bigger than the whole of southeast Nigeria. No jokes pls.

Mumu. It didn't occur to you that you are looking at a possible fulani settlement that they use as a kidnappers den.

How the hell do you know that??

You think there are no isolated communities that are self-sufficient?

It doesn't look ancient with the roofing material though quite isolated....such places should be under our security surveillance as it could be a kind of hideout or den of criminality.
