If you check in some churches, you will see guys with plaited and probably see ladies and guys with coloured hair. You may even see guitarists with plaited hair. Is this right for a genuinely born again Christian? The bible says in 2 Corinth 6:17 "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you". True born again Christians should appear in a way that sinners will not have doubt about their Christian faith. They should appear in a way that people can receive the gospel from them without doubting them as true Christians. A true born again guy should not be seen with plaited hair, neither should guys and ladies have coloured hair. TRUE CHRISTIANS SHOULD BE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. 22 Likes 6 Shares |

Good. The same holy book says a Christian shouldn’t judge. Live life as you deem fit and let the other person do the same.

Stop misleading people with Bible verses that do not conform to the subject matter. There's nothing immoral about plaiting your hair or looking good in general. This is mainly a cultural thing and your lack of exposure to other cultures has beclouded your judgement skills. 92 Likes 8 Shares |

Most doctrines we grew up to adapt to as Christians were made based on our culture and not the Bible. That's why a Nigerian pastor can come to his pulpit and tell his female that putting on tros would lead them to hell but can't preach such sermon in Europe. Look at the deeper life issue of television back then. I even know pastors during my university days who openly condemned Facebook and called it evil. Today they all have their Facebook pages. In Africa our Christianity is practically linked to our culture that's why it's always good to know God personally and allow him to direct you. God isn't interested in your hairstyle. Jesus told his disciples to go and preach the Gosple to the world baptizing them in the name of the father son and holy spirit. He didn't tell them to chase anyone out of the church because of hair style. And he made it clear during his time on earth that doing so makes you a pharasee. 107 Likes 6 Shares |

Those things are cultural... What's a non sinner suppose to look like? This is how extremism starts. African culture, men plait hair, in some culture, women cut hair Jesus had long hair like all his people 97 Likes 2 Shares |

You guys should know that plaiting of hair is just cultural and has no known root in the Bible or Christianity. There is no verse in the Bible that specifically talked about plaiting of hair. The only place that is close to that is where the Bible says men should not put on things that belong to a woman, and women are expected to follow the same rule . However what pertains to woman covers a lot in many different cultures. And they could greatly differ. In Scotland cultural attire, men wear skirt, also in many African cultures men tie wrappers. Even, in most western cultures women wear tros (pair of pants) . We can’t say they are all wrong. God is not an author of confusion. Now what pertains to a man or woman could actually mean a piece of clothing or in this case, a hair piece that was previously worn by a man or woman. For instance, that verse in the Bible could be talking about to avoid putting on your brothers’ or your husband or male relatives clothing if you are a female. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

It has nothing to do with being a christian to me, personally I don't like it. They look gayish to me. Though some men have long hair like women because of their race but I still prefer a cute haircut for men, it makes them look more masculine. Leave plaiting of hair for women. 5 Likes |

cutecommend: you are myopic So while you are trying to preach the gospel to the world and you meet a someone from the red indian origin, you will tell him to cut his hair or unlock his braid because of what? Have you traveled to other countries before? So you mean to tell me you will tell a SAMOAN man to clean his tattoos? or you will tell Swedish and Norwegian men to cut their hair? People like you with this myopic senseless preaching is why hell fire (if it exists) will be full to brim. Try to study deeply before you come in public to impose your baseless opinions. If this is how YOUR religion of condemnation works, then keep it to yourself. 13 Likes 2 Shares |

You should be more worried if they srive to follow the example of Jesus the Christ, That is the point,in the scriptures, you will notice that tax collectors, prostitute, etc had more genuine repentance and followed the saviour,,The Lord look for a willing heart, not appearances, Ask David and Saul, Shalom

Children of God already know that this message is not from God. So I won't bother quoting Jesus speaking about the hypocrites who like to appear godly and addressed with honor and respect. The command for a believers appearance is HUMILITY AND IN MODERATION. A guy who plaits his hair, dyes it, does it maybe for his job or so and appears in moderation and decency and obeys the commands of God, is far better than a false preacher with low cut wearing suits costing millions from the stolen money from people in the name of tithe and seed. A honourable man dressed poorly is better than a thief dressed properly 3 Likes |

meobizy:It didn't. This is one of the most misquoted sayings of Jesus. In the chapter that says 'do not judge,' it also says, 'by their fruits, we shall know them.' How can you know without judging? To say that we should not judge implies that everything is okay, but it also means we should not preach repentance. I mean, how can you tell someone to repent if you haven't judged them? How can you even recognize sin without judgment? Anything that is not true is a lie, and to recognize a lie is to judgment. Matthew 7 is not against judgment; rather, it teaches how to judge. Christ says, first remove the speck from your own eye so you can see clearly to remove the log from your brother's eye. It is against unfair, unforgiving, and hypocritical judgment—not judgment in its entirety. John 7:24 tells us to stop judging by mere appearances but instead to judge correctly. 5 Likes |

PheelzAlmighty: For what do I have to do with judging those outside? Do you not judge those inside, while God judges those outside? “Remove the wicked person from among yourselves.” 1 Corinthians 5:12-13 God gave Christians the scriptures for a purpose: All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, so that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work. 2Timothy 3:16-17 True Christians use God's word to teach, reprove, set matters straight and disciplining among themselves so that the house of God may not be abusively spoke of! 2Peter 2:2 2 Likes |
