There are many companies that pay such as salaries to employees in Nigeria. Most notably are oil companies, banks, professional services firms, investment banks and tech as the new kids on the block.

Pre-Corona as my job focused on graduate trainee positions.

Royal Dutch Shell paid 600-700 abi 800K per month. Addax paid close to a million. ExxonMobil paid above a million. Total paid two million. Banks paid well too especially to graduate trainees. Access was noted for paying 250K per month while STANBIC IBTC paid 300K. Audit firms paid very well, and once those trained by the Big4 moved to oil companies, they earned almost or above a million. FMCG companies paid similar earnings to brand managers. Vetiva was paying graduate trainees 250K - 300K. Now imagine how much managers were earning.

How I wish I kept an Excel track of the salaries. Well, post-Covid, salaries cannot remain the same due to inflation and the Canada exodus which made the audit firms increased their salaries to either retain staff or attract new staff. As I asked my friend who works at UBA, this is what she gave me:

New GT bank Salary

ET- N452k ,

ABO- N720k

BO- N900+

SBO+ N1M+

New FBN Salary

ET- N372k ,ET Tech -N523k

BA- N 497k BA Tech - N713k

ABO- N618k

BO- N900+

SBO+ N1M+

UBA Salary

ET- 376k

ABO- 558k

BO- 800-850k

SBO - 1M+

Federal establishments such as CBN, AMCON, DMO, NIMASA, NNPC paid very well with some staff, senior employees, earning more than a million.

P.S. All salaries exclude bonuses.

Finally, someone putting names to it.

I'm not particular about wether your data is true or not but I found it interesting that despite a poster asking what local firms pay their empoyees that outside oil&gas or top management, many people responded saying 'they know someone', 'change your circle' e.t.c without being able to state exactly what companies and roles pay that sum.

Better go and learn something and make yourself irreplaceable and see the money coming. But get ready for the wahala that follows.

Which wahala follows?

Ever heard the phrase, "mo money, mo problems?" You will think that someone whp earns 2m daily is satisfied but you'll be shocked to know that more money is not the solution, money management is. It is easier to live within your means when you earn low than when you earn more and sincerely, until you step into someone's life, don't assume for them with your own status/lifestyle.

"di lifestyle cost, na you no know" wink

make me too self get the more money see abi more prob go arise or not..lol grin

Majority argue based on what they know and refuse to learn. That is @op's problem.

The world has gone beyond a 9-5 work with bla bla bla degree.
Op should know that people that work remotely evade tax and don't wait for government or one company before they hit a gig.

Learn ok. My oga in the business I work with make more than 3m monthly on legit online business without company's salary.
When you open a thread, allow people to suggest and not tackle every opinion with ignorance.
God be with us all in our chosen profession.

In all, stay legit.

Brother,

N3 million proceeds from e-commerce / online monthly information from ur boss might not be true. Check the details again.

Since u stated that it is still a side-thing, meaning the scale of it may still be limited

Yes, he can easily make N3m from monthly turnovers (surely), but as profit, if it happens, it cannot be constant at all.

I run such a thing, and yes, I know it is profitable especially when you have 1 or 2 other streams of income. I am into high-tech products basically, and I agree they move well and very profitable.

* It is easily understandable if you said he makes N1m monthly often as profit.

Which company dey pay employee 30m? Oil company or Telcom? Because that's the only 2 that can pay anything close to that.
Head of sales in LEADWAY INSURANCE was collecting 10-16 million naira salary as of 2016. They(leadway) stole the guy from Custodian. There's what we call keyman-insurance(100 million) in leadway, it's for employees/staff that earn above 100 million naira. They are are called Keyman because If they die, the business does with them. Hence the businesses will protect themselves against the risk, hence it's called "KEYMAN INSURANCE". Things are happening.

I taya, it's certainly no much money these days. Check your expenses, most Nigerians spend several times that amount monthly without knowing. 50k hardly covers daily expenses, if you sum it all you will see most Nigerians cannot really explain how they survive their running cost.

So they're spending air abi? cheesy

It is doable if you plan towards it and ready to acquire the right skills.

To achieve a 1million naira monthly income in Nigeria is not easy for young beginners but it's doable if you leverage on the opportunities that internet and social media provides today.

Easiest route is to buy and sell something people need using social media platforms and e-commerce websites. You just need to be focused and make research to know the trending products and cash in immediately and move to the next.

Many young Nigerians make more than that via mini Importation, buying and selling things online.

Another way is to calm down and learn a good and in demand digital skill, then be consistent in promoting your skill after you have learned and honed it, with time you will start getting jobs to do on freelance, from there you move up the ladder.

Social media marketing and advertising is also another great way to make money online and earn big if you master it well and become an expert in it.

I can't how many young Nigerian guys I don't even know that have reached out to me seeking for patronage to help me promote my brands using their social media platforms and I can patronizing three on different occasions, though only one produced good result. So you can figure out how they do it and cash in on that too. If those guys get 4 clients like me in a month, they will hit the 1million naira income you made mention of.

In summary, your financial success in life depends on your vision and how well you plan and follow up your plan with action. You cannot achieve what you cannot visualize, that's the truth about life. If you set your eyes on earning 1million naira a month and start to work towards things that will earn you that, believe me, in a matter of time you will forget you ever struggled to earn that. I speak from experience.

Wishing you and others Godspeed but please say no to fraud and scam

I hope this comment you made is not for fun only!

Don't doubt there are people earning over 1m here. Even with Astropay's shitty exchange rate of $1475 - $1, A million naira is just around $678. For me, I earn mine from social media s selling and smart sports betting. I've seen people (although not Nigerians) making over $40k yearly just from selling social media s or doing smart betting. The major setback is that you are at the mercy of the greedy bookmakers, and rogue social media managements. I can make over 2m in 30 days, with a single 1xbet , but will 1xbet allow me? The answer remains NO

But why 1xbet? Couldn't it be done with other bookies?

Second question, I don't know if deriv (binary options broker) do the same shenanigans when one gets really good. Do you know about that?

Name the company that pays such. Nigerian owned company. Most of you guys on this site make claims you can't defend.

If you must know, most entry level jobs in Nigeria today range from between 150k-200k

To even earn 500k sef you'll have spent a considerable number of years and gained relevant experience.

Una go just de argue for nothing.

How many Nigerian owned companies have declared sustained profit in the last 3 years that they want to pay their staffs 1m and above?
hmm, they are a lot of companies in Nigeria that pay workers above 1m. Don’t conclude on what you don’t know.

Yet another braggat.

The question I asked is so simple that even a primary school student can easily answer it.

No one cares if you earn 100m a month. Just list Nigerian owned companies that pay their staffs 1m above. Simple as ABC. Una go de brag up and down.

Have you ever worked in the cooperate world before? To even see 500k there and collect sef na war. And you're here saying you know over 50 people earning over 1m.

Even for foreign companies, if you remove oil companies how many foreign companies can you point that pays up to 1m? Microsoft that even hit the 1m mark has left the country. How many are left. Huge companies like Twitter and Facebook don't have physical offices in Nigeria. So what are you saying?

If you can't name the companies, don't quote me.
bro chill so you will learn, I work for myself and I earned more than 12m last year and it’s not like I am rich, I’m still managing and aiming higher. I can’t even marry with my current income. Currently I fuel my car, pay my rent , change cloths , eat , settle other family bills and that has gulped a good amount of that money. How much is a Tokunbo car currently?

Lol...who gives a f*uck about your level. You made a claim and I asked you to defend your claim and you're here beating around the bush forming Elon Musk. Telling me you know over 50 people working in Nigerian companies and earning over 1m. Do you know how useless your naira is currently? What's the turnover of most companies last year that they want to pay you such amount of money.

Typical bragging attitude of the average Nigerian.

My post clearly stated apart from oil workers. My roommate in school was earning 1.5m monthly in chevron upon graduation. Before he resigned and went to total. So I'm well aware that oil companies workers earn huge.

It's easy for oil companies to pay you such cos most of their transactions are in dollars not naira. Their profit are recorded in dollars. So they can easily afford to give their staffs jumbo pay.

Confidentiality my a$s.

If any ant earns such amount of money, he's obviously the head of that unit and has ICAN, MBA, and other relevant certifications and has spent years gaining experience. Such person would be way over 40.

No company would hire you as a regular ant and pay you 1m and above in today's Nigeria. What is the value of naira currently that a company who's transactions and profits are purely in naira would pay you 1m? Una no de think at all sef.
one advise for you and this will take you far if you adhere. Change your attitude and mindset. Your attitude is appalling
