Ahhh!!! The North that year. It's almost always a natural disaster when it rains over there. I when the rain delayed for that year. The villagers used to gather and pray for rain. They used to chant "Allah kao ruwa" but when it eventually rained it was a deluge that destroyed almost the entire village. No one prayed for rain again after the incident.
The North usually experiences whether extremes. The Harmattan is terrible, the rains come with a rage and then of cause there is the sand storm that blows and turns the sky dirty brown. The whether serves up one terror after another. The experience was out of this world.
