hedonido: You senseless yahoo boys think because you hate EFCC everybody must your delusion. You can’t dictate to EFCC how to operate. It may have been an odd hour to carry out and arrest and to break into the home but that doesn’t give the defendant the right to shoot at law enforcement agents.EFCC is a law enforcement agency just like the Police , Army or NSCDC.It could have been Police , Army etc.Does that give the defendant the right to shoot and kill them because they were breaking into his home at night? |

higgs: The EFCC carrying out a raid at night and breaking into the defendant’s home does not give the defendant the right to shoot and kill EFCC agents.EFCC agents are federal law enforcement agents. It could have been Police or Army carrying out that raid. Moreover nobody shot at the defendant. How is it self defense when nobody shot at him ? EFCC agents breaking into the home at night is not illegal and the EFCC is constitutional agency. Some rogue governors tried to get the Supreme Court to declare EFCC unconstitutional but failed. There is nothing like self defense in that incident. Its a case of an alleged yahoo doctor who has a personal vandetta against the EFCC. |

OMEGA009:You are talking a whole load of horse shit. Someone broke into your estate and your home in the middle of the night, breaking down your front door without any justification, and you are talking about warning shots and "give only as much as you receive"? Self defense when you feel your life or that of your family is in danger by which ever means is a basic fundamental "animal" instinct. You minimise the illegality of EFCC raids without any legal backing as a case of training and retraining, it is not. Its borders on criminality itself. Apart from the operation itself being illegal, the EFCC banned midnight raids just over a year ago. Why then was a small group of EFCC officials raiding a whole neighbourhood in the middle of the night? 5 Likes |

Olu1000:The EFCC did not need to fire at the defendant before he defends himself using any means necessary. The EFCC official breaking down his door in the middle of the night without warnings or prior notice and without a search warrant is enough justification. Luckily the guy seems rich and from a rich background, so the case would take its regular legal course. 1 Like |

fergi.e001:Omoyele Sowore and his usual embellished stories again. How can SaharaReporters claim they learned that the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Olufemi Oluyede, reportedly visited Awka, the Anambra State capital, to arrange for the transportation of the EFCC operative to Sokoto State for burial according to Islamic rites? Damn! It's completely impossible for a whole Chief of Army Staff to visit Awka to transport the body of an EFCC operative that was killed in a takedown operation against suspected fraudsters. NO standard ethics of Journalism being followed whatsoever! That's a highly irresponsible and asinine publication from Omoyele and his despicable gang which further emphasizes the importance of taking anything SaharaReporters and that other highly notorious People’s Gazette publish online with a pinch of salt! It's time to start penalizing these so-called overpampered publishers of online news Websites with "very heavy fines" for the relentless dangerous destabilizations, fake news and distortions of historical facts" which didn't start today but gained more traction within the last 12 years," involving even the more notorious non-state actors. 1 Like 1 Share |

The most disturbing part of this report is that the Chief of Army Staff had to visit Awka to arrange for transporting the body of that bastard to the North. Why? With our public funds? What makes him so special to the Army? What is the Army's business with the ill fate of a crooked EFCC official who was neutralized whilst on illegal duty? Or because he is a Muslim from Sokoto, that makes him special? This sort of rubbish justifies the agitation for the country to divide so that everyone will go their way. What nonsense. 3 Likes |

Olu1000: If you try to be reasonable you will know that the courts on so many occasions have established that illegality will never stand on another illegality. Don't operate on any illegal MO and thinks the court will back you up irrespective of the outcome. The directives from the EFCC head and their scope of mandates do not permit them to act outside the law by arresting people without court warrant and worse going about it in a Gestapo style. The suspect family needs to amplify the media trial until it gets the attention of both the state government and Federal government, if suspect is lucky he will be confirm as a genuine medical doctor without any fraudulent activity then the case will be a learning point for the agency. If you doubt me go and read about the DSS raid on Nasarawa native doctor about 10 years ago and follow up on the resultant outcome and know how this will end up. I don't fraud but agencies should be operating on the legal scope of their mandate and stop acting illegal. Rest in peace to the dead it's a very unfortunate scenario. 3 Likes |

Konquest: simple question has the corpse of the officer been flown to sokoto for burial? if so - at whose cost - on whose budget? also why is a corpse involved in a criminal case buried rather than autopsied as this is now an official criminal case? let everyone come out with their own version of events 3 Likes |

This is so bad Let operatives know that there is one life First it seems there was no communication from them to the state operative hence they were delayed in the first raid by police. I think if an operative goes to another state or zone for operation, there should be communication among sister agencies as well as and notification to the nearest unit where the operation is billed to happen. |

this is the inevitable outcome of the unsanctioned raids by a bunch of corrupt, trigger happy thugs committed to enriching themselves from criminals rather than prosecuting them. sooner or later - these thugs would have come up against resistance. they have been storming into multiple house and sometimes reportedly molesting the occupants without any consequences. EFCC have been breaking into peoples houses for the past 5 years their sister agency, NDLEA has been busting drug dealers who are far more dangerous, without having to break into peoples houses at night the NDLEA literally took down abba kyar. the EFCC with all the resources available to them - are yet to take down any crooked cop. somehow they were not aware that abba kyari was an enforcer internet fraudster we all know the game the efcc operatives are playing when they go after suspected white collar criminals in the dead of the night 2 Likes |
