Very good. Rest in pieces More EFCC operaTHIEVES should be gunned down anywhere they try to carry out their illegal midnight robbery. Good riddance 9 Likes |

It’s not the fault of the doctor at all. Only robbers operated the way they operated that night. And how can he identify them as EFCC. Why must you force your way in at that hour without a warrant. If he has a good Lawyer they will free him. He acted purely in self defense

SaharaReporters had learnt that when the suspect refused to open the door, on the claim that the operatives might be robbers or kidnappers. "The EFCC team proceeded to break into his apartment and the suspect opened fire on the lead person; an EFCC operative known as Salisu. If EFCC go after our crooked politicians on such manner, Naija would have been a better place by now! How can you burst someone's apartments in such a way? 10 Likes |

This young operative died for nothing. And then a medical doctor just going about his business is now a murderer and might be jailed. Tragic in all aspects. We act like barbarians in this country. No training, no common sense. Imagine a two man team without vest raiding a home you're unsure whether there 20armed men in there. The doctor better gets a good lawyer, because he had every right to defend himself. 3 Likes |

EFCC operatives have still not learnt from what they did in OAU. I don't see why you have to go and raid people houses at night when you can go there at any time of the day or issue a warrant for their arrest. Maybe they are inspired by Hollywood movies, that is why they think breaking into people houses at night is the standard way to operate 2 Likes |

This case will be long ... supreme court. First, why all the way from Sokoto to Awka? Don't they hv staff in the East they can send? Second, why raid in the night without a bullet proof vest? The fact that they wore EFCC dress is not a strong argument, even criminals put on security outfits. Third, Anambra & Awka hv been in the news for bad reasons due to the level of insecurity, the doctor might easily claim he acted in self defence which is a strong point. It's risky raiding homes at night. Finally, failed system,no doctor on call. Very sad. Nigeria happened to him. 4 Likes |

After reading and comprehending this story...I believe the doctor acted in self defence . In this period of insecurity everyone is apprehensive. Recall I read where even the police stopped them from operating ..claiming they didn't seek permission before entering the jurisdiction...yet they decided to act contrary to the law . There is a 50 / 50 chance those that came could have been robbers disguising as efcc operatives. Sometimes common sense should guide our actions . I don't see the rational behind visiting people home at odd hours ...There shoukd be another way of apprehending this criminals with putting our hard working officers at risk. For instance when the gate man says he cannot open gate for them...why breaking and entering ? Why not come back in the day time with adequate man power? My condolence goes out to his family and we'll wishers ...his death is a big loss to our nation . May God give the family the strength to bear this loss. 2 Likes |

Do not force ur way in as a professional officer Instead be patient, introduce urself properly with tangible evidence and arrest warrant. Lastly, u were on a mission to arrest a suspect in another force's jurisdiction without notifying them. Please who does that. Where is the collaboration mentality been played there? Fraudulent is a crime, but u have to apply diplomacy in dealing with it. U people want to showcase power on now but someone stole over #80 billion from the state . What did u all do? U gave him a presidential treatment and granted him bail of #500 million out of over #80 billion he stole Abeg make una no dey show muscle on little crime, rather focus on the main people milking this great country 4 Likes |

EFCC people should stop breaking into people's homes at night. There are videos of people planning to pour them raw acid on tik tok.

I when EFCC officers scaled the fence in the midnight, jumping into the house of Innocent Chukwuma (Innoson) where they thoroughly molested the man and his family in the dead of the night. This is the same way armed robbers operate and they must begin to realise that Nigerians can try to defend themselves sometimes. 5 Likes |

They even identified themselves as EFCC operatives. He will be lucky to get life imprisonment. He murdered a federal operative and attempted to murder another federal operative. He may not escape the death penalty. |

opeldavid: What does the fact that the officer is from Sokoto have to do with it ? Are there not officers from Anambra or other eastern states working for EFCC in other parts of the country?EFCC clearly we’re not expecting anybody opening fire on them hence they did not see an issue with going out without bullet proof vests.EFCC is just like any other law enforcement agency. The issue here is why shoot at law enforcement agents especially when nobody shot at you ? Why did you throw the weapon out & hide in the ceiling after murdering a federal agent and attempting to murder a second federal agent? This is no way self defense will hold in any court of law.The officers were on official assignment. You cannot dictate to law enforcement agents when to carry out their duties. |

Pentagon007: You are funny ! So beacause the gun is legal and licensed he can shoot whenever he likes once he feels he is threatened? Even after the operatives identified themselves as EFCC agents. Why did he throw out the gun and hide in the ceiling after killing the agents? If it was actually self defense, why did he not come out and own up to his actions immediately? So because you feel threatened you can shoot at anyone even after they identify themselves as federal law enforcement agents? Common now ! |

For better understanding of the Law “drafted in my village square”, do yourself a favor and read this submission on self defense while paying particular attention to page 8, like your level of idiocy, it’s free so you’re welcome. https://www.ajol.info/index.php/ujah/article//256865/242631#:~:text=This%20particular%20condition%20states%20that,law%20enforcement%20to%20neutralize%20it. 1 Like |

If what I read in this place is true, the case is dead on arrival. Anyone could claim to be EFCC. It seems to be self defense. Let the law look into it without sentiments.

i hope the so called 'internet fraudster' has a lawyer internet fraud is a white collar crime. financial crimes are white collar crimes. why are efcc storming peoples residences in the dead of the night? on what basis? you suspect a person is an internet fraudster what stops you from coming to his house officially? do they even have court order - or they can just wake up and break into anyone's house because they feel like it? and what business does the army have with flying the corpse of someone not attached to them? all i can see is efcc has taken time to package their story after their attempted shakedown went awry. EFCC are now little more than thugs who break into peoples houses on the flimsiest of excuses. someone who is not even from the area just decides that because a person has a nice car, the person musty be a fraudster. salute to the doctor who was protecting his family. he is the real hero here. his lawyer can also play that game and we can get pictures of him with his family, with patients, his graduation. maybe efcc can also tell us how their assistant superintendent is able to afford a late model iphone 12 Likes 2 Shares |

Olu1000: Now that you have understood that it is a LICENCED gun. You MUST again understand that he has the full right to self-defense. Especially given the modus operandi of the so called EFCC operatives. You cannot just barge into anybody's house in the midnight and expect the person to sit idly and welcome you with open arms especially with the high rate of crimes all over Nigeria. I am sure the govt robbers did not identity themselves to the doctor and even if they did, which is HIGHLY UNLIKELY, there are better ways they could have met with the Doctor. What stops them from picking him up from his working place/hospital if at all they were genuine? I cannot imagine the trauma the family would be in by that time of the night. My heart goes out to them honestly. With an average lawyer, the doctor will come out from the case. This is a clear case of SELF-DEFENSE!!! 6 Likes 3 Shares |
