vikgreen01:Never try such again. EDCs are very angry right now because of bad sales. The outfit may soon pack off because FG isn't serious about power sector and people are now into renewable energy. See every house with solar s. So you will be milked as deterrent to other byers. You go pay regular bill of N451K and still carry the stigma of light tiff for a long time. Solution is to go and pay that bill or get solar. That building has been marked as scapegoat 6 Likes |

madridguy:If you add money to 450k you should get an Original Lithium Battery, Solar and Inverter. It depends on your appliances ..Sometimes it is annoying when you think of the wahala and the amount he use to get the meter , why was the technician not sanction and meant to pay, this where regulation comes in sef . 1 Like |

The meter is no spoilt. They just put bill on it. They removed your wire so that you won't reconnect it. Best thing is apply for a new that is you will be collecting bill. Make sure you change your address before you apply for a new . When they give you the first bill, bring it to me I will help you get a new meter in less than 3 months

vikgreen01:Relax, breathe and stop disturbing yourself. It's not your fault but theirs. I was once slammed a fine for a meter they took themselves to repair. When they came, no meter there, they said na illegal connection. 250k straight. Shishi I no pay. The person in charge came himself to refix it. Now, which options do you have? 1) Pay mugu money in installments, which does not mean they will fix the problem. Some of those meters, when they have problems, difficult to fix. 2) Like 1Alex suggested, get a power station and solar to use light. Do not engage them 2 Likes |

First off, why do you need a 3-phase meter? If you are not living in a mansion with many load or run heavy machinery in your house you do not need a three phase meter. If it's the regular bungalow or apartment with regular appliances found in most homes in Nigeria, a single phase prepaid meter will do the job. From your explanation, it seems the PHCN staff did you dirty. A by literally involves avoiding the meter and connecting wires directly which should be obvious to you except, of course, you are not telling us the full story. 5 Likes |

That's how they shifted our band without informing us and slammed a huge charge upon us as bill incurred, this kept increasing every month, all complaints fell on deaf ears. The government needs to do something about that distribution company |

Those nepa boys are one of the most corrupt people in Nigeria. My prepaid meter enters a code due to less than 10 units on it and my wife called the installer who sent a guy to me, and he charged me 20k to restore the meter. Later, I heard If I go to their office, it will be like 5k, I was so pained that someone just cheated me like that, it happened second time and on my way to their office I saw one of their staffs who help me out to restore the meter. It happened 3rd time due to 2 factors which are power outage in my area and upgrade in their office. I try to recharge through my bank app but it wasn't successful, but my money was deducted, and I went to their office to see the customer care who gave me the restoring code freely and directed me to the appropriate office to buy the units. I key the code myself and the units and it was successful. The bottom line is to stop dealing with the touts, go and explain yourself to the customer care who may refer you to appropriate personnel to solve your issue 9 Likes 1 Share |

Osgilliat: When something is not logical ...there is no truth in it . No nepa man will bye your meter without your consent . In this case it backfired ...This ade the kind of people that loafs 5k in a month while those being honest ade loading more than 50k a month . The solution is to negotiate with nepa and get your meter reset a d connected ... 3 Likes |

vikgreen01:if I were in your shoes, and can afford it, DUmp them and go 100% Solar. trying to make amends by dancing to their tune means they WoN, hence likely to repeat same game again. I sacked NEPA / PHCN while a tenant long while Yaradua was still the president. I was using Solar 100% yet continued paying NEPA bill to my landlord as him no gree hear. me gan no mind. What they didn't know is, I was never gonna stay there forever. Since then till Now, I run Solar 100% and have even Sacked my Landlords as I now own my own place. 1 Like |

vikgreen01:How was your meter byed and you're not aware of it? There's no way your meter could have been tampered with without you being aware of it at least to some extent. Because you should have noticed that through your consumption, if your consumption is reading a lot lower than it is supposed to then you should have known that your meter has been byed, and if you have been using light for free then there's no way you can claim not to be aware of the tampering since you're the first of that meter. There's something you're not telling us. 2 Likes |

vikgreen01:. Imagine! I keep telling people that majority of our people are VERY WICKED & DUBIOUS in their disposition. The guy byed your metre without your consent and still wants 30k bribe? We can't grow a nation like this! Is this the fault of Bubu ir Tinub? Why won't politicians embezzle (our) public funds? Why won't they treat us rats when we ourselves are wicked to our fellow men? It's well, brother. I can imagine what you're going through. Help will come your way. |

[quote author=Xisnin post=133712317] So, you think investing millions of Naira on solar is better than public grid? A whole lot better!!!.... I've been having 24hrs power for my ac (during the day), freezer (till 4pm), fridge, 3 TVs, dstv decoder and soundbar,12bulbs and 3fans.... from my 5kva-10kwh solar power system for the past 3years!!!.as i got tired of buying petrol, oil and servicing generators as i haven't seen public supply in my town (kwale, delta state ) for the past 8years 3 Likes |
