Probably a kidnapping Ransom so it won't be tracked to the first receiver. Report to your bank or police command
Emblj: 10:26pm On Jan 11
FreeStuffsNG:
Inform your bankers and seek their advice

It could have emanated from unscrupulous bankers.
Some of them are yahoo bankers

Is he or she a know person to you cos I don't get how a random.person that mistakenly typed your number also have ur phone number??

It could be those mobile wallets that uses phone numbers as numbers.

Don't send any money back especially if it's much ...it might be stolen from another person's or card they quickly stole and there's no way for you to the source number ...

Bankers tried to use my a while back to steal money, which I believe is from a dormant ... they called me that it was a mistake that I should please send it to them and send an number with obviously a different name

èmí street.... I told the wèrèy to tell the teller that posted to do reversal from his system.
The werey started giving excuses that it was end of day and system had been shut from head office...

I was like..." Baba if u take too long, I go use this money buy dollar sharp sharp".....

Why not sending it back if the same number that sent money to him was provided?
I once sent 25k to an Igbo cleric FBN number while trying to send it to my own FBN number and he sent the money back to my own FBN number when I showed him what caused the mistake on messenger. What's the big deal?
louken(m): 10:36pm On Jan 11
Tell the person to initiate a recall through his own bank while you give your own bank an approval to return the funds.
Note that this process will take some days (even weeks in some cases) to be completed.
If you know the sender very well, there's no reason for unnecessary drama. Send the money back to him.

Tell the person to send his number. Then tell him you will go to the bank to do his refund using payment slip.

Report the incident to the police indicating the full bank details and number, and keep the police report for future reference. It could be kidnap ransoms or proceeds of crime and the criminals are trying to distort paper trail.
Also ensure to report it to your bank. A bank insider must have divulged your information to the criminals.

Someone had mistakenly credited me last Dec.. He missed a number and the money was sent to me..

He called me for a refunded.. But I had to first shout at him not to make that mistake again.. I refunded the money back to him..

When he called to thank me, I shunned him down and switched off the call...

I was just in my one of moods swing that day 😅

It was that time of the month, I know

Why didn't he go make a report at the bank and let them take it up from there

Half of the people mouthing off how they'll return the money, are lying. Many of una go spend that money even before the phone call comes requesting for a refund.

Make una dey sha lie for internet .

What if it is a ransom payment to kidnappers, and your is being used for transition to other s.

The best is to report the transaction to your bank and police. Do not spend the money to buy wahala to your life.

If police grab your blokkus, you go smell pepper.
