Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen marked his 26th birthday on Sunday and it seems the red-hot Galatasaray man got himself a birthday present, a green Lamborghini Urus, which was also blessed for former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

In a video that surfaced on Sunday, Martins was seen praying for Osimhen in front of the vehicle and the former Inter Milan man took a shot from a sipping glass before ing it to Osimhen who also consumed what was left in the sipping glass.

Sipping over a newly acquired car or property is a common tradition in Nigeria.

The Lamborghini Urus is said to be the first super sport utility vehicle in the world and it sells between $237,848 and $269,885 which is between N371,994,272 and N422m as at Sunday’s exchange rate

Nope, education pays.

1. For every Osimhen, there are hundreds of footballers who did not make it, and end up in poverty, without skills or anything to make it in life.

I mean it is very likely that of the hundreds of kids playing street ball in Lagos today, maybe less than 5% would make it as a footballer...and maybe a very tiny minority would be as rich as Osimhen or Kanu. A very tiny minority. So, the only other way out of poverty...is to get educated....and get some skills on top.


2. One footballer called Nii Ordatey Lamptey was easily cheated out of the millions he could have made as a footballer because he was functionally illiterate, so even if you have talent, you need education...so that someone won't cheat you. Another footballer also got into trobule with the European taxman simply because he could not read.

Education is important.
