NIGERIA UPDATE: Waziri Adio, my Kennedy School classmate, on the proposed (2025) budget and related matters - Every citizen must read this treatise. - @elrufai

“There are other curious items I have seen in the proposed budget. One glaring example is the plan to transfer N146.14 billion to MOFI (Ministry of Finance Incorporated) as counterpart funding for the Lagos Green Line Metro Rail Phase 1.

This raises many questions.

The proposed allocation for the metro-line within a state is 65% of the capital budget and 57% of the entire budget of the Ministry of Transport.

If this is counterpart funding from a recapitalised MOFI, why is the money coming from the budget of a federal ministry?

Why can’t MOFI raise its counterpart funding from the market?

How was the decision arrived at that this is a project to invest federal money into and will such facility be available to other states outside of Lagos?”

Tinubu has started strategizing very early again. If you know, you know ....... Bwala hahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

The main aim is to further lead astray those who of course will no longer see El Rufai as the short man devil as the usually call him. To them, he would be seen as an angel . It's all tactics.

The short man Devil has suddenly found his voice. I wonder why he kept quiet all through Buhari’s calamitous 8-Year reign.

If this Jihadist Bastard had given Buhari these kind of advice; Nigerians would have been worshiping Buhari by now.

Earning money is difficult whereas spending money is easy. So, it is necessary to spend judiciously. I have seen that sometimes a richer person is unable to manage his expenses because of extravagance whereas a poorer person manages is expenses successfully. A person should spend in such a way that he can save some money for future. Some guidelines for spending judiciously is given below:

Lessons
1. Don’t buy what you don’t need
2. Don’t borrow to buy wasting assets
3. Have a saving habit; it helps you in rainy day
4. Don’t try to impress anybody with your clothes or cars
5. Avoid friends who make you go into debt because you want to belong.
6. Have annual financial plans

Lastly, salary is never enough. Put your money in assets that can yield returns. such as Money Mutual funds, T-Bills, Digital Assets etc

I REPEAT LAGOS IS THE MOST CORRUPT GEOPOLITICAL SPACE IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE.

THE MONEY LAGOS MAKES IN A YEAR IS EQUIVALENT TO THE MONEY THE ENTIRE NORTH MAKES IN ONE YEAR.

BUT DRIVE AROUND LAGOS ALL YOU SEE IS
REFUSE DUMPS EVERYWHERE

SMELLING TERRIBLE ODOR EVERYWHERE

TERRIBLE ROADS EVERYWHERE

INSECURITY EVERYWHERE

DARKNESS EVERYWHERE.

AND WHEN ELECTIONS START APPROACHING SOME HUNGRY RETARDS HERE IN NAIRALAND WILL START ETHNIC BAITING TO THE HUBRIS THAT LAGOS IS

Does doing the same wrongs committed by Buhari make it right? Why are you guys so myopic or may I say hypocrical in all issues? Is the Green or Blue or Red line a Federal project? Or is this a Federal revenue generating venture?

Lagos is part of Nigeria and is home to all Nigerians .
Where was the sickly El roughian when Buhari was using federal money to connect his village in Daura to his ancestral land in Maradi , Niger republic ?

Tinubu is from Lagos state and it is a Nigerian norm that projects would be sited in his home state .

Several projects were sited in Bayelsa during Jonathan’s tenure and same with Buhari .

A new hospital was built in Daura during Buhari’s time with federal money ( my ex girlfriend served there) . The midget of Kaduna was aphasic then .

Amarachi built transport university there with federal money etc

Nasir Hypocrite El ruffian should take several seats .

Because someone got it wrong doesn't mean we have to allow the wrong g things to continue. If we argue that buhari did it. And tinubu try and we overlook. The next person will want to do same or worst and people will refer to tinubus time. And it will keep getting worst

This is a good investment. Any investment in Lagos is a good investment. Its a good strategic move for the FG to invest in Lagos lines early enough. Lagos and the FG are partnering on a lot of good projects, like the Lekki Seaport, Lekki Airport, Lagos Red line and now this Green line metro. Other states should open their eyes and bring good project with prospect to the FG for a partnership.

If not because of our clannish mindset, there is nothing stopping even other states from investing in such a good enterprise. Lagos metro is going to be forever profitable if run efficiently. It will be an investment to reap from for years to come.

Werey, but Buhari and useless Amaechi can build railway from Katsina to Niger Republic.

Why invest FG money into universities in Northern Nigeria then?

You know Lagos would have had a metro rail line since 83 before that masafani Bubu cancelled the project and even paid compensation..

Now Lagos got one after 40years. I guess that is the payment for the one that oloriburuku first cancelled.. grin grin
