Oga, how wan take handle person innocent daughter on top that rock fa?

Was that the reason why you bought the mattress? grin

If you're still typing from that mattress after eight years, I'd say you got used to it. 🙂
matify83:
There is no getting use to with these orthopedic mattresses.

I've had one that I bought over 8 years now and currently typing from it.
Thought you will enjoy the alignment of your skeletal frame but the body aches on your soft body tissue doesn't "get use to"

Using a topper like some have suggested may be an option to reducing the pressure on subcutaneous blood flow.

It's better you go for your weight grade mattress than jumping on the full orthopedic.
Eniolohunda: 1:47pm On Dec 25, 2024
Op return it to the seller, either he gives you the regular mattress or he return your money. You are not sick, there is different between sleeping on the rock and sleeping on the mattress.

God, this is super-informative, and well delivered. Y'all should patronize this person if you're looking to buy a mattress. Guy/girl knows what they're talking about.
kaptainrankin:
Hello Dola, sorry to hear what you're going through with the mattress you bought.

The one important thing most people don't know is that body weight is the most important factor to consider when choosing a mattress, and not everybody needs or will do well on orthopaedic mattress. It is simply TOO HARD for most people.

You currently weight 72kg and have no serious medical issues, you're the perfect candidate for a medium density mattress. Those ones are the perfect balance between firm and soft, and they are made to comfortably carry up to 80kg body weight per individual . Common examples of these are Mouka Foam Flora, Royal Foam Gallant and Unifoam Onyx Plus.

Two thing you can do with the current orthopaedic mattress you have;

- Sell it and buy something less firm like the ones I mentioned..
- Buy a memory foam mattress topper which is really soft and comfortable, then lay it on the orthopaedic mattress you have (NOTE: the best quality toppers you'd find are quite expensive, they cost above 100k as at December 2024 when I'm typing this)

If anyone here needs a good mattress to fit their body's needs, we have them in all sizes and qualities across all our stores in Lagos, Ibadan, Abeokuta, Ijebu Ode etc. You can Call/WhatsApp me on 09015015409

It is the best for your body alignment.

In Japan,it's traditionally known about the hard floor surface specially prepared for sleeping.

Sleep while facing up, as your spine cord is naturally aligned without the distorted "C" structure due bad posture which may cause discomfort in future.

What do you need an orthopedic bed for if you don't have orthopedic issues? The seller told you to buy it and you couldn't quickly browse on Google to know the set of people the bed is manufactured for?

it's 6 by 4.

The mattress is called prestige (Yaun feng) idk if that's the right spelling.

Is there anything wrong with the pricing? I bought it from a market in the north.. they initially said it's for 170k but we finally settled at 110k.
I won't getting that mattress at this rate.

Hi bro, what you bought is filled with fibre, not foam. So many brands are on this table - Green Earth, Xhelong, Royal etc. That mattress will collapse in no time. If you can return it like many people advised, it's better even if you lose 10k.

Orthopedic Mattress are called reconstituted foams, using strong glue to compressed foam particles together. But what you bought is definitely compressed fibre.

My first night on this bed wasn't okay at all, I had to drag my other bed to the living room to sleep.
This is my third year and I love it.

Hello nairaland

What do I do next? It's just too hard for me to endure and I don't know if it's going to get any better (or get slightly soft so that I can enjoy the mattress

Thank you for reading.

Get a soft pillow and place under your ribs when you sleep.
With time, your body will adjust.
I bought a semi-orthopedic mattress when orthopedic was after my life.
But now, I have adjusted.
A soft mattress now seems like punishment.

Hello nairaland

I bought an orthopedic mattress yesterday and I slept on it last night and I've come to discover that it's too hard for me. It's not bouncy at all, and feels like I'm lying on a rock.

I'm 72kg, and in not suffering from any t conditions.. I only bought the mattress because it was recommended by the seller as a 'good and durable mattress'

What do I do next? It's just too hard for me to endure and I don't know if it's going to get any better (or get slightly soft so that I can enjoy the mattress

You better return it now if you can. Na pure rubbish and you will regret it.
P.s. I have a little back issues and so I hated the over soft and bouncy foam I had. I went and bought this semi orthopedic foam that the seller highly recommended for my issue. Omor, the foam hard die. Even sleeping on bare floor is better than this mattress. The annoying part is that I can't move and turn my body. Any spot I lay on, it will go down and then refuse to bounce back once I get up; it takes forever to rise up. I just regret the money I wasted. The sellers are not willing to take it back sef. The foam is already wavy and uneven; the centre has almost collapsed. I will soon get another but just skeptical so that I don't buy rubbish again.
