This will be my first Christmas in Nigeria in 15 years but sincerely it does not feel like Christmas at all.
Besides the cold harmattan weather in the morning that normally characterizes this time of the year, nothing else smells festivities.
I with nostalgia what Christmas used to feel like. Seems a whole lot has changed.

Apart from the economic situations, what else could have caused this?
because Yuu refused to do giveaway this period.

Honestly speaking... Nigerians are going through a whole lot....half bag of rice is now 45k, groundnut oil 20k for 5litrs, chicken 20k, pepper and onions very costly.

How can everyone not be on a low-key with this exorbitant prices?

My Boss of over 6yrs that always give the teaching staff 5congos of rice each in December just wave us goodbye with nothing last week.

The economy has turned every hardworking Nigeria to a lazy person.

Welcome home sir. It's good to have you around.
The insecurity around the country is also one of the reasons ist the financial situation. I can't squeeze myself and my family to travel far for holiday and along the way, get kidnapped.
May God see us through this season.
Merry Christmas sir.

Thanks to everyone that welcomed me back. Note that I've been in the country a few times within the last 15 years, just that this will be my first time during Christmas.

Na wa o. Having gone through the thread, I could notice some common denominators that contributed to the situation.

I'm really empathetic towards the average Nigerians that are going through these difficult times.

Like Ouchbabe said, it's well.

Those that are saying I should do a giveaway, for now, I've stopped doing online giveaways for the simple reason that most people that actually need the help do not get them but majority that receive them don't really need.

My giveaways are now offline and are targeted towards those that do need them.

Alright boss. The last giveaway you did, I was part of the winner and I mail you as you said but I got no response. I don't know why you ignored but I believed it's your intuition. If as part of your giveaway you decided to help the youths, please come online but if it's for widows, orphans, less priviledge, market women please continue offline as that's the best place to do it.
