emmanuelewumi: *ARDOVA PLC MULLS RETURN TO NGX LISTING* Ardova Plc has disclosed that it is finalizing arrangements to return to the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) as part of its strategic restructuring. The company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Moshood Olajide, made this disclosure during a press briefing held to commemorate Ardova’s 60th anniversary celebration, themed “60 Years of Energising Progress with Endless Possibilities.” “We are planning a return to the Nigerian Exchange Limited. It’s a key part of our growth strategy,” said Olajide. “We are currently consolidating our position and once we’re ready, our first move will be to return to the NGX.” Olajide highlighted that Ardova is making the largest investment in the downstream oil and gas sector, reaffirming the company’s commitment to its growth and sustainability. “We are here to stay,” he emphasized. “The investments we are putting back into the business demonstrate our dedication to expansion and resilience. This should reassure stakeholders of our sustainability as a business.” Olajide elaborated on Ardova’s comprehensive portfolio, noting that it remains one of the few downstream oil and gas companies offering a full slate of products, including PMS, AGO, ATK, LPG, phase oil, lubricants, and bitumen. “This product diversity speaks to our revenue resilience and our ability to sustain stakeholder returns by mitigating risks,” he stated. The CEO also reaffirmed Ardova’s adherence to high corporate governance standards. “The governance standards we maintained while listed on the stock exchange remain intact,” he said. “We continue to uphold rigorous internal controls on financial reporting and governance systems. Investments in technology further bolster these controls, ensuring the sustainability of our business.” Olajide expressed confidence in Ardova’s performance across various benchmarks. “We’ve maintained exceptional standards in every area stakeholder would evaluate. This reflects our commitment to excellence and our readiness for the next phase of growth,” he concluded. Speaking on the company’s profitability, the Ardova CEO maintained that, considering the enormous investment put into technology and other aspect of the business, they expect to see enhanced efficiency in its operations and profitability. “We project into the future, that our numbers will improve, even in the coming years. From our revenue perspective, from the volume delivered to the market, and the net return perspective”, he added. Meanwhile, Ardova Plc had said that investments made in 2021 contributed to the growth in revenue, sales volume, and profits. It disclosed this in a statement on its ‘2021 audited financial statements and Q1, 2022 unaudited financial results’. The statement said, “The company posted a profit of N1.54bn in the year ended 31 December, 2021. However, losses from subsidiaries Axles and Cartage, and newly acquired Enyo Retail and Supply Limited created a group net loss position of N3.8bn. “In Q1 2022, AP’s performance shows significant improvements as yields from investments made in 2021 contribute to growth in revenue, sales volume, and profits.” Ardova Plc had on July 26 delisted its shares from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), ending a 53-year-old listing after its precursor, African Petroleum was itted to the stock market. The delisting was pursuant to the scheme of arrangements between Ardova and holders of its fully paid ordinary shares as approved by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and sanctioned by the court. Ardova reached an agreement that sees minority shareholders get 2.9 per cent more than the settlement price the acquiring investor initially offered them. Ardova Plc’s return to the NGX is anticipated to reinforce its position as a leading player in Nigeria’s downstream oil and gas industry while offering renewed opportunities for investors and stakeholders. |

emmanuelewumi: Pa Emma, can you share your understanding of their business model and how they make money. From the Little I found out, it seems they charge airlines (on contract basis), and clearing agents on a regulated tariff, but I don't have a full picture of how that works. 1. Is their earnings dollar indexed? 2. What are the possible risks that would impact the company's earnings? I would appreciate your insights on this, Sir. 1 Like |

HONEYWELL FLOUR MILLS JUMPS BY 32% AMIDST FREE FLOAT ISSUE Honeywell Flour Plc recorded a strong price uptick in the equities market as investors increased their positions in the food company’s shares amidst its free float compliance issue. Share price increased by 31.5% over five trading sessions in the equities market, from N4.60 at the beginning of the trading week due to steep demand. Investors increased bets on Honeywell Flour Mills in the local bourse last week. The bargain hunting was driven by pure sentiments and expectations that earnings would improve in the coming quarters. Also, Honeywell Flour Mills parent, Flour Mills of Nigeria, is planning to exit the local bourse after Excelsior Shipping acquired the largest share in the food company with an offer to buy out minority shareholders. This could affect Honeywell too, some market analysts said, noting that Siloam Global Services Limited, a company associated with its erstwhile majority shareholder, Oba Otudeko, only owns 7.79%. With about 86% under significant shareholders, the company told the Nigerian Exchange it failed to meet free float requirements for companies listed on the main board in 2023. In 2024, its 14.46% free float rate has not changed, and the stock price has been on holiday for a possible rally. According to data from the Nigerian Exchange, Honeywell Flour, which opened at N4.60 per share, ended the week at N6.05 due to bargain hunting. The company’s value increased to N47.977 billion in the Nigerian Exchange platform after the latest market re-rating of the fast-moving consumer goods stock. The company rally had eased following its acquisition by Flour Mills of Nigeria. At the end of trading session, Honeywell Flour Mills was trading at about 6% discount to its 52-week high. However, the stock has doubled down on its 52-week low of N3 per share. In 2021, Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc. bought a 5.06% equity stake owned by FBN Holdings in Honeywell as the company acquired 71.69% of Honeywell Flour Mills from its majority shareholder, the Honeywell Group. Total substantial shareholding in Honeywell Flour Mills was 85.54% at the end of the second quarter of the financial year 2025, ending in September 2024. Honeywell Flour Mills Plc ed a free float percentage of 14.46% as of 30 September 2024, which was not fully compliant with the Exchange’s free float requirements for companies listed on the Main Board. 1 Like |

The analysis on this is looking sweet. Q2 contributed to the FY loss because of FX difference. But look at the EPS in Q3 and Q4. Do your own DD/ research o, but this to me looks like a potential 100% ROI. I’ll wait to see market reaction to the audited results Sunrisepebble: 1 Like |

Stocks represent pieces of companies, and owning them means sharing in their triumphs and challenges. For those eager to dive deeper into this dynamic world, https://iralmarkets.com/stocks/av offers a reservoir of insights. 🙂 Stock markets are influenced by a blend of economic trends, company performance, and even geopolitical events. Treat them like weather forecasts—predictable to a degree but never absolute. Whether you're intrigued by tech giants or emerging market players, that patience often yields the sweetest fruit. Historical data shows that long-term strategies can sometimes outshine the thrill of quick trades. Diversifying your portfolio is like seasoning your soup; too much of one flavor, and the balance is off.

Imagine the shock on my face today to see the amount of effort you lots are putting into the Nigerian stock exchange…well how do you justify this considering the depreciation of the Naira? Even if your stocks are doing well you are still have a terrible Naira to deal with. What’s the catch? Please educate me

Ayomideloni:I will answer you well because I be street. I have stopped taking all this new monikers that just pop up serious.when you look at the profile you will realise it was a moniker created for the purpose of double handle and not really in use. To your question, you didn't tell us whether na Oloshos you have been investing you own money so that we understand whr you are coming from We are puting much effort because it is called nigeria stock market and we see ourselves as Nigerians . Naira depreciation is not the only thing happening in nigeria. Even in the time of nigeria civil war some people whr still making money and becoming millionaire. When cement was 100 naira some people could not still build a house while some are still building at #9500 a bag. If you are only seeing excuses you will definitely die in poverty. You should equally be happy I wasted my time answering such post. It is because I slept all through after church service and sleep no agree come eyes again....yeye question 24 Likes 1 Share |

Konquest: President Trump may provide the fundamental catalyst for this to happen. Trump would be sworn in on Monday 20th January 2025. If he starts the trade war he promised with Europe and Asia, markets would react negatively and could lead to contagion effects in global markets. Therefore, I would not completely rule out this technical analysis warning 7 Likes 3 Shares |
