Was about to say this. Aradel that is being used as comparison already has a working refinery. Now they are adding 135kbpd of oil production and 350,000 mmscf of annual gas production (about another 150kboepd from my calculation ) with this acquisition. In addition they also have a power plant now, Afam VI (650MW capacity) that is connected to the grid already … The 5% stake in Chappal is also huge when they eventually IPO

Its night and day
I also haven't mentioned our potential London listing but wanted to leave out assumptions

Leave stories for Mr time.Aradel played it game from the other board before listing on nse.I won't even buy it at #450 after listing. Na oando do himself yeye because of bad management all this yrs if not they for no be mate in everything .
Book mark the price of both today for Mr time

I think Oando carries a huge political risk.

Streetinvestor2:
I see greater opportunities in oando if the management decides to be sincere and act properly with all they have as assets with time

If wale had managed the filing station alone well.it would have been competing in price presently
with arade...just an example .I know he has sold that .Mr time will decide from next yr results.

What will you say if ph refinery is handed over to wale as per politics after any fake bidding. Anything is possible in naija politics.Do you think if government truely want to let go of ph refinery management. It will be outsiders. Of all these oil and gas companies in naija presently who do you think stands at highest preferably contender if not Oando.....na my street assumptions I dey talk.

I still prefer investing more money in Oando than in Aradel at this current price.

I already have 5,000 units of Aradel and that can ride the market for now. I sense something big is coming for Oando and I intend picking another 20,000 units of Oando tomorrow.

Well, that Political risk is on the upside..

What other greater political connection does one need to succeed in anything in this country or any country at all?

It is sad that a government is fighting it's best businessman.
You dey mind dem..
when they are forced to give a speech dey can't defend about the energy security as a representative of a sovereign state, they exaggerate their participation in a private one.

They are being reduced to just investors and a minor one at that when they should have been incharge of the entire chain of energy security in the country..from upstream to downstream..
But they've lost the midstream.

Transcorp Plc is the owner of AFAM VI.
(TransPower listed on NGX owns Ughelli power assets. Afam VI is a separate asset under Transcorp PLC)
Take that out of your valuation assumptions of Aradel

I think it’s separate. Transcorp owns AFAM I-V. SPDC owns AFAM VI from what I’ve seen. (Could very much be wrong)

The summary of you guys argument:
Aradel is bound to grow
ORGANICALLY within the next 4yrs..
OandO is bound to grow POLITICALY within the next 1yr and then both ORGANICALLY +POLITICALLY within the next 2yrs. grin

do you think Aradel's Organic growth will just be enough to make it do more 100%ssss than OandO in these time frames? grin

with a potential of likely another 4yrs of political growth; grin if the political connection still holds sway post-2027, do you still see Aradel's price lower or higher than OandO by 2031? grin grin
Ceteris Paribus grin grin

Does the political growth mean they magically learn how to finally run a business?
The corporate governance has been poor and will most likely continue to do so. Like I said, I’m inside also, so I will be very happy to be proven wrong

You're likely right on Transcorp not being the owner of AFAM VI

As its clearly stated on Transcorp PLC's Afam power subsidiary web page that they own I to V with total capacity for 2000 MW.

Its also important to note that SPDC only owns 30% of the JV. So the 5member Renaissance group will have to share the said 30% SPDC stake in the JV.
NB: I might be wrong too.
I hope I am not correct cos If I am correct, then the deal get too much corner corner

I think you are but I don’t see how that’s an issue though?

SPDC owns a 100% stake in AFAM VI

And even considering they have 30% of the JV, that 30% is producing (according to NUPRC’s 2023 report) 135kbpd in Oil and Oil condensate and 150kboepd in gas. Or is it from the 135k and 150k that they take 30%?

If we use the 34% @Karltom gave us, in the first scenario Aradel are adding 100kbpd to their production. If it’s the 2nd scenario they are adding 30kpbd.

NB: I could also be very wrong, this is far out of my scope. Any Oil and Gas analysts should come to our aid

I get..thats why I ended my statement with Ceteris Paribus(All other things being equal)
Make imagination no wound me grin grin
But that's the mid-longterm forecast.

I'm not in anyway against Aradel as I read about them, I am rather impressed by their CG structure as you mentioned given their humble beginning and several transformations even name-changes along the way.
But u know, it's NIGERIA, grin it's not entirely purely by logic grin
