Me too. But you know Alhaji is a very calculating biz man. He will list only when all things fall in place. Not sure NGX can be source of significant amount of capital for him though.

It depends on what he wants to achieve. He can do double listing sha. NGX and London

Wow. Dual listing will make it a 15k price per share at least.

Why would alhaji want to list his cash cow.if you are in his shoes will you want to list.why hasn't the government listed nnpc .if na me I will not list.He will gradually pay up his remaining debt and owe 100% of his refinery.
Raider76: 10:41pm On Dec 12, 2024
You are right. Only I understand a refinery needs huge working capital. I read somewhere that he will need $3b just for crude purchases only. Can't recall for how many months of operation. That maybe why the initial plan was for part of the 20% share of the NNPCL to be in initial crude supplies. But they pulled out when he needed them most. So he will definitely need capital.

When I see some of your posts, sometimes I just chuckle grin cheesy

The real question is..
Why would Alhaji NOT list his refinery company,

Listing gives more credibility and access to a company. makes valuation somewhat easier, and transparency much better

And as someone have mentioned, he needs the working capital, and equity long term in his case will pay him, because of no debt obligation tied to it
You can list, raise money , do your thing and then go back private (the Dell computers playbook)

But at this point , the upside exceed the downside for listing
If Musk and Bezos and Zuckerberg had this mindset.aint no way they will be as rich as they are today

BusinessAccess Bank seeks Eurobond
A major pointer to the agenda was recent revelation by the lender that it is considering selling dollar-denominated securities in the domestic market to fund its expansion plans and boost its capital base.

According to the Managing Director, Roosevelt Ogbonna, during a media parley in Lagos, the securities would be issued in two tranches. While one of the tranches would be targeted at Development Financial Institutions (DFIs), the other would be sold on the open market.

Streetinvestor2:
If access has all this fund to be buying. Why then did it come to market to dilute its shares via capitalization

I see them doing well, going forward. They are planning to diversify into other businesses

Let us give them another 2 years

Pa Emma's response 2 years ago to a question about Afriprud.

Truly, the stock price movements lately is indicating that something is in the brew. But what exactly? It'd be good to know.

if u miss Nahco , dont miss Dangote sugar. others are Wapco, Afripud , vitafoam , uba/access.

if u taken action on DS as at Monday by today u must have been 5% up. the stock will cross 20 soon to keep going.

my opinion though

grin grin grin grin

April 26, 2023 post. Great suggested stocks!

Afriprud struggled to do N10 during the Nov/Dec 2023 bull, but is now moving without stopping. There's a lot to be known.

I he mentioned Custodian, Prestige and not too long ago Betaglass
Even though all the three are good....
- I referred to BETAGLAS.
- A very illiquid stock but the performance has been great......from my own amateur view
- Q3 2024 PAT alone is close to 9mths 2023 (despite incurring some FX loss, meaning it would have been more than 9mths 2023 if not for this)
- OS is 600million
- Free float around 180million
- Stock for patient long termers especially
- Over to FA analysts for more breakdown

We really need more billionaires in Nigeria to catch the higher numbers in Egypt and South Africa. Imagine if we have 3 more billionaires disrupting sectors like steel, agriculture , transportation, mining, power and tech, and investing $20b in each, like Dangote did to Oil and Gas.

I pray Elumelu considers taking more shares like 70-85% stake in his listed companies. It will help him(and help us too)

Government needs to make the environment friendly for Nigeria investors. I have tried severally to invest directly in Nigeria but they keep frustrating all efforts

In 2006-2008 I got so wealthy in this market that I was a major player in it but lost all (PAPER VALUE) during the CRASH.

But Jesus came through for me in 2020. During the COVID I sorted for cash from several quarters and INVESTED in many stocks/other markets both in Nigeria and foreign markets. I took very big risks against experts' advice because their advise made me lose fortune in 2008 although we call it school fees. MCY is aware of some of my challenges in 2020 because that was when we CONNECTED. Such a beautiful soul 💕

But today I sit as CEO of established FIRMS which is known by many especially in the nation where I reside. I just wish Nigerian Government can show some love for Nigeria towards those of us abroad so we can honestly INVEST in this land. They are frustrating real efforts. Corruption is not helping this nation especially amongst the civil service...

I hope to write MORE about my part to MEGAWEALTH someday... Many won't understand why I changed moniker to THE MEGAWEALTH01

Let this encourage someone today...

May God bless Satoshi specially for me wherever he is

As a business owner, the most striking interest to me is that info stating 39% yoy increase in exports.
That’s supposed to be music in the ears of shareholders.
Improved exports translates to improved forex earnings.
