The objective facts are that

1) No two persons can have the exact same performance on the same job. It's impossible. That is actually why labour unions destroy

You don finish work! I didn't see this before my earlier reply. The narrative behind gender pay gap has been thoroughly demystified. So I'm surprised to see anyone who is able to use the Internet spread the despicable lie. As far back as 2015, I knew it was was a lie. Almost ten years on, I'm reading it's a reality. If so, why are employers not deliberately employing women since they earn lower? A business aims to generate profits and labour costs is one of the highest expense any enterprise incur. So why are businesses not going all the way to employ ONLY women? Actual women o, not the LGTV mumbo-jumbo.

It's a terrible and disgusting lie that there is a gender pay gap. Also, there is nothing like equality. Humans cannot and aren't equal. Equality is a farce. The best is to promote equality of opportunities, not outcomes.

Thanks for contributing to the discussion. The evidence is overwhelming that women earn less due to objective factors. Notice her list of grievances against Republicans or conservatives includes BOTH maternity leave AND equal pay. 🤔 The simultaneous demand for BOTH rights completely contradicts any declared objectivity.

I have family and friends who have been in the oil & gas industry in Nigeria. I've learned a lot about the industry from them. Field engineers tend to earn more than office based engineers. Whenever the opportunity arises, the women tend to CHOOSE office based roles over field roles.

Why? Field jobs are dirty and dangerous. As multiple women in the industry have generally said in my presence..."field engineers have dark skin because they're always in the sun and covered with grease, mud and dirt".

So when I saw her list of grievances against Republicans, I was a little saddened, but glad to tackle equal pay with real life references, solid logic and data. Everyone knows women have higher workplace absenteeism than men. That alone surely contributes to lower pay!

You mentioned somewhere you knew these things as far back as 15 years ago? Wow, it's more recent for me, at least as conscious knowledge. Sometimes one can sense it without knowing.

Where do you live?
The only thing you can say is when they're is an opportunity to grow, men are mostly considered cos of motherhood except women whose kids are no longer dependent on them.
Also a mother can afford to chose staying closer to her kids than career development and expansion. Aside this, women and men earn the same where I live except in sports and news media.

Feminism of old is good. Women were treated like property. They fought, protested. Eg, in uk,women do not vote until one lady fought and took it to the street with other women. Unfortunately, she died before it was implemented. In BBC male anchors are paid more than female. These are what feminists should fight for.

For most of human existence, muscle mass was the most prized commodity and conferred superiority and power. By the way, men with small muscles and physique were just as powerless as women back in those days.

As humanity grew richer, more jobs that needed brain power and less muscle became available and women could participate MORE in the economy and earning money. So today the women are a near or outright majority of law and medical graduates in the USA (makes sense because those require average or a bit higher levels of intellect) while men are the majority of self made billionaires and millionaires which likely demands exceptionally high IQ or aggressiveness.

Anyway these are elementary things that most educated people should know by now. For the record I couldn't understand much of what you wrote sha, hence I picked two that were clear enough...I think. So ignore me if I didn't get your points.

I see your point, but I'm uncharitable to the right on their authoritarian concerns as they seem to love the violent aspects of the state, the military and police.
Their concerns are directed at institutions of the government they feel stand in the way of their theological beliefs or hurts their corporate interest.

The US is the only developed country that has to deal with private health insurance companies like that.
In other developed countries they still have left and right politics, but the issue of having your Healthcare held hostage by for profit private insurance companies is not one of them.

I don't think the job of feminist is done, yet, nor has the movement lost its relevance. Not every society has caught up to the west yet. So, I think it only needs to change battleground.

In the west, the gender pay gap has shrunk considerably and very much affected by the difference in professions between men and women. While discrimination isn't the sole driving factor for the gender pay gap, we can't dismiss its impact. At least, that's what the studies say. I'm keen to believe the "discrimination" is the punishing nature of the work force towards mothers than it is to fathers. This is quite a tough battle, one I think, as we become more advanced in tech, will be resolved. I thought work would become more "work from home," but surprised as it reverted to in-office.

It's because of this "motherhood penalty" that women are driven to more flexible jobs, which often pay lower. For example, take a German woman who had attained an executive role in Porsche automobile. She threw her baby out the window after giving birth. The prosecution dismissed the postpartum argument her lawyers made, claiming "she hid the pregnancy from everyone around her." Which makes us believe she was scared of the implications the pregnancy'd have on her job. To make matters worse, the pregnancy came as a result of a one-night stand with a guy she doesn't have with. Or, so the rumors say.

Also, great strides have been made in the workforce, there's still much work to be done in the family dynamics of society. I don't fancy the "submission" idea that Christian feminist still peddle with, and I strongly think they need deliverance. Maybe, it's due to my inability to grasp what it means to submit. I never liked the idea anyway.

I would also advise to not use online banter from "red-pilled" version of feminist as the hallmark for what feminism stands for. What I see on X (formerly known as Twitter) is very different from what I read on books. There's the extreme versions of every movement. We call them the radicals, e.g, the radical right, the radical left, and so on. There's also the radical feminists. The ones who are shouting "Abort these male children" on X.

We often make the mistake of identifying a whole movement with it's radical elements, thinking they are representative of what such movements stand for. We identify radical lefts with democrat, radical right with republicans, and so on. If you want to learn about Feminists core ideology, you'll just have to dive into the books.

Bell Hooks is a great read; I didn't even know she was black until I stumbled upon a top ten black feminist writer kind of article. Glad our esteemed Chimamanda made the list, with three books or so. Buchi Emecheta also gives an accurate story-form of what feminist should stand for, and why it's needed. Although, she approaches this from household dynamics. I haven't read Chimamanda yet, though, shame.

I'm afraid, the X warriors do more harm than good. If men don't get onboard with the movement, there's nothing to gain. A great example will be feminist movements in extremist nations in Arabia where, out there, if you talk, na straight to torture chamber. However, something must rise against the online radical red-pill movement. Thus, radical feminism was born. Where extreme patriarchal values still hold, extreme radical feminist values will also rise to fight it. A typical example is the 4B movement debacle in S. Korea.

It's a pendulum thing, one that men often start, unfortunately.
