Whatever you do, don't buy lead acid battery. Else rainy season/ cloudy condition will show you pepper.

Use mppt from 60a

2,000w minimum inverter. Sachet inverter should be able to power all the chargers.

3 units of 330w s should do

Depending on your location, site your where sun can begin to reach out from 8am to 5pm. Turn on inverter 8:15am and off it between 5.30 and 6pm.

You will spend up to 1m - 1.5m but you will enjoy it later. If you're charging N150 per phone /N200 power bank is cool biz. Just see your solar system as fixed asset

ZERO Daily operation EXPENSES

No running shop ceiling fan o ... Or anything else dunno how the inverter will fare with the additional load

Wow thanks. Let me check it out. Any counter measure against solar theft?

That's extreme sports. Glad it didn't end badly. Fouani should try to improve on their delivery period. They just miss out on someone that wants to buy up to 50 nos of solar s. The person not sure if they'll deliver within project timeline this year.

No I actually didn't do the maths on both controllers but I just using real world data of what time they both charges to full.

Okay let's put it like this, with the pwm I've had my system go off during the night on a day when the sun wasn't very bright, But I haven't had that issue on the mppt controller.

Now Even without bright sunlight, my system carries me through the night till dawn the next day when it starts charging again. All these are on the same consistent load of not more than 100w at night.

That’s great. Meaning your battery gets fully charged these days. Josh advised I get another to mine to get a fully charged battery even on low sunlight. MPPT controller is quite expensive.

Solar theft as in stealing s or wires?

Use big nepa wire if budget no reach to buy 6mm.. go those electric parts shop buy, they have it.

If it is theft of s, it's up to the person that installed it for you to say.

Hmmm....50 is much o....he may need to source multiple watts sha...I am sure they may deliver it in batches coz these things are heavy mehhnn...

200+ phones is around 4000w oh.

Since you are using for business, you might end up spending up to 5m if you want to run it efficiently.

I will advise if possible maintain your gen(consider using biogas) and use solar if load is within a predetermined range.

There is no way 200+ will be charged at the same time. Did the customers planned their meeting point at the same time? ;DPhones get fully charged at different hours.

I'd advise you get an mppt instead, it will utilize the full power of your existing solar .

Even with more s your pwm might still not perform well.

Josh sometimes like being economical, I know this cos I complained before he upgraded a 30a to 60a pwm charge controller.

I'm sure it's the 30a pwm controller he gave to you. Even the 60a was doing poorly untill I upgraded to mppt myself.

He's system are cheap so him trying to maximize profits sometimes make him cut corners a lot.

Great. He gave me the 60A controller but it’s still way lower in efficiency. Imagine getting max of 70Watts from a 180Watts . It’s so poor.
I’ll get the mppt controller and see for myself. I personally love experimenting, but the economy is not smiling at the moment.

I have 3 s of 180w, with the mppt at peak sunlight I get around 320watts, I'm sure it would probably around 200w with the pwm

I wish I did this calculations with the pwm.

So, update:

Fouani delivered my solar yesterday. Didn't know it was that big and a bit heavy. The kind stunt I pull on okada yesterday, I no fit do am again. I still blame the delivery guys though.

So, I ordered on November 29, and they delivered on December 7, which makes it 9 days.

Location is Osun State.

Do you have problem running heavy load on the battery? If yes, then BMS failure may likely not be the issue here.

Connection failure may be an issue. Either a in series have failed, or PV connection have degraded hence only like half the solar s you have is at work.

Also do you have grid connected? Does the battery charge with higher amperage than what you have when the sun is out? If you have grid charging much higher than your PV current used to be, then issue may either be breaker failure or PV wire connection issue.

Also before I go, the 13A is it what you see in the Felicity battery display or what you see on the inverter? I'm asking this because if the PV are connected in high voltage, current coming in from the s will be smaller.

For instance,

P= IV , where I = current and V = voltage

P = 13A X 400V = 5200w

With low voltage you may see something like

P = 34.6A X 150V = 5200w

Same power, just different current and voltage.

Solar Charger watt output are not calculated with volts but with charging volts.
On a 12v system, if it's charging with 13.5 it'll be 13.5v x amps to get the watts entering battery. Same for 24 and 48v. So 3300w on a 48v charging at 53.0v will have amps of 3300/53 = 62amps

Solar volts displayed are just what is coming from solar before conversion by MPPT

Still not possible at once. Will 200 students arrive at the same time? Is it possible for all of them to meet there queued by 7am? They will all come at different time by then some phones are already fully charged before others commence. Another point is all the 200+ phones wont be charging from the same percentages. Don't view it at as whole but individually at different hours.

Yeah. I use the 512Wh system. So he said one is minimum and that I should add one more to get a better charging time for the system. On the other hand, I also believe that an mppt will boost the charging rate on one to about 59% (just as yours implies) which in my case can yield 106watts which will take about 5 hours of sunlight to get the system completely charged .

Another thing is, if I am to get a new connected in parallel to what I have, I will get two times of my current output from the with a constant voltage l, meaning I am likely getting more watts from the this time compared to getting mppt.

Now I’m turn between either of the two-getting an mppt or getting another (my affinity is more on the mppt for reasons I don’t know lols). I can only afford just one at the moment. By January I can get the other.

I understand your point, a 180w is currently 45k against 65k of a 30a mppt.

Your best option then is adding an additional in parallel to boost your amp rating.
Cos as it is, an additional will get you more wattage than mppt charge controller.
