Please how many days does it take for the ois Portal to list your port as available for pick up. It's past two days ceac said issued but ois still says not yet available for pickup. Just want to know how many day it took and can take

Omo, today has been (past tense because i left there around 11:50am) brutal at Walter Carrington (Lagos embassy) especially for F1 visa applicants. They were just rejecting left, right and centre. Crazy stuff. These consular guys are not smiling at all.
I'll come back to give a detailed on how I scaled through.
Ps: There's hope for those who paid via GTBANK but can't use the payment on the new portal, as long as it is still valid.

Go to this website: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/search/recent-search, fill in all your info, once you submit, it will tell give you all the information you need (eg your date of ission into the US, the length of time you are stamped in for etc).......,

I need help please. I made payment using a foreign debit card and it shows successful and i was debited but however did not progress to date selection. Instead i was returned back to payment section again to make another payment.
What could be wrong please because i thought it was instant after card payment

When it showed successful, did you get a receipt /confirmation page?
If you did you can call avits or send an email to the embassy

Please guys, I want to make another payment to get a closer date. I intend to use a new email, new ds-160 form too. My question is; the part where I'll be asked if I've applied before, can I choose no? So that I'll have a new profile.

Sorry about that. Try calling both avits and your bank. The money has to be somewhere. In my experience with calling avits, they are usually not very helpful, but still try anyway. Your best option may be calling your bank to see if you can reverse the transaction.

I had my follow up interview two weeks ago and visa was approved but my port isn't ready for collection as seen on the OIS website. It's about 12 working days now since the interview.

Has anyone had this kinda experience and what do you advise I do.

Im having same situation mine is even 2days. I don dey lament already and no one is saying anything regarding it since I said something about it here... Maybe you should make a physical appearance to the office if you are far away to help check their system maybe they didn't update it.

Please my IW application was refused as well, did you get a mail to come and pick up your port at the ois office? Also after the refusal, I was able to see my appointment details with which I submitted the IW and had the option to reschedule for consular processing but I didnt because the dates werent close, then all of a sudden they deleted appointment details and I haven't been able to do anything since then, please kindly enlighten me based on your experience.

Hello @Petershola, nothing is wrong. So far you have your payment receipt, just keep that. There is a waiting time after applicants have made payment where system would validate your payment status then updates your profile so you are able to proceed to book your appointment.
In my case, I made payment since Nov 8th 2024 and till now, the system has not confirmed my payment status yet so I am still waiting.
It is the unfortunate delay the new platform has subjected majority to.

You are only wasting your resources as there is no guarantee that another payment would be confirmed on time let alone give you the opportunity for closer date. If you have already paid and yet to get confirmation of payment on AVITS portal, it is just to wait.

Mine was direct interview from the get go and visa was approved only for me to get a 221G email to come for a follow up interview two weeks later which I did and visa was approved again and till now port isn't yet out...

I'm a little worried because this is a direct card payment not bank transfer. Many have paid directly after that so im afraid something might just be wrong.

I had this issue too. Paid on the 8th with online transfer but up till now, still nothing. I had to make another payment directly via firstbank over-the-counter deposit and it reflected the next day. I will advice you don't make payments on Friday because the deposit slip won't be valid over the weekend. I think that was where the issue came from. Hope they rectify it asap

I paid for a US B1/B2 visa for my parents with a credit card but it didn't generate any receipt for me. Does anyone know what I can do to generate this receipt. I learnt it is part of the required documents. I have opened ticket but nothing has come from this. I will appreciate any help on this or suggestion on how to go about it at the lagos embassy. I agree. The new issue is that I paid with my dollar card, but did not get a payment confirmation, but the money has ben taken off my card and I was able to make an appointment. Now I don't have proof of payment. I think I may use the old first bank receipt that was paid first since that is valid for a year. Fingers crossed that they accept it.

I was told by to use the transaction receipt from my credit card statement as proof of payment. Drop off appointment is next weeks so fingers crossed it works.

Raise a ticket on AVITS.

You will receive a response within 5 - 10 working days..

Raise a ticket on AVITS. They are more responsive with tickets.
