The producers better find a way to connect all the mysteries tipped from season 1 until present (The boy in white, Martin, the lighthouse, Boyd and Sarah's tent being dragged through the woods, the Cicadas, all the deaths, the melody, all the revelations from Victor, Victor's dad becoming involved, all the ugly drawings, Randall's mutilation, Julie, Marielle, and Randall's experience, the bottle tree, the house collapsing, the wireless cables, the crops suddenly decomposing, the hole, Jasper, the voice on the radio and telephone). I want to know how any of these events connects to "angkhooey". So these painted children couldn't simply say "", so we can all move forward.

1. Not leader of the town, leader of the monsters to be more specific. See how they gathered in circle and beaming with joy at his 'rebirth'.

2. With their 'leaders' rebirth, I think its safe to say reincarnation is a thing in this series, and until they get it right ie freeing the children, they just gonna keep coming back as different people if they are killed.

As for Fatima's 'baby', that's the leader of the monsters. I think it is he who promised them eternal life.

Twas the worms in Boyd's body that killed him in season 1 I think. The forkers name is Smiley.

What a fantastic series! Stayed up to finally complete the series today that I have time, and I don't regret it all.

Finished Arcane season 2 and oh boy...

I kept asking myself if I was watching the same show...

It's almost like the writers forgot what made the show special in the first place.

The show turned into something else

I praised season 1 for it's intricate character writing, the way it handed it's character conflicts and how these were connected to the conflict between Piltover and Zuan

Season 2 abandons everything and just goes off the rails.

The entire conflict of Piltover and Zaun take a backstage despite the season starting with it. It made everything including Silco's struggles in season 1 completely meaningless since it didn't matter anymore to the plot...

The whole Black Rose thing and Victor's arc was very much not needed in season 2 but in a subsequent season 3. The whole pacing was off... everything rushed

What a way to throw out everything that made the show special...

I like how the story differs from season 1. In season 1, almost everything went to plan, yes there were few off tracks, but it was easily rectified.

This season 2, the whole plan left the track completely, cross the dried pavement and crash into the water. It almost think on the go now, which gives the whole season a new perspective. I love it!!!

Update: This episode was soo good, I had to rewatch it again. Noticed some things,

Crazy how Deputy Director of the CIA is the lowest ranking officer in that situation room.

They will always want you to carry out mission(black ops) but if fails na your head e dey.

When e reach black ops, Secretary of State Waka leave them for plausible deniablity.

The dude in the background, but look at the colored bars on his service uniform and he is standing guard in this meeting. Mad!

Lasty I think Joe might be out of the full season, maybe home with the kids and Cruz will run point on this mission.

Last see how it goes .

Yes, we cried that there were less fight but not to sacrifice the story and theme. I don't understand anything in this season 2, the worst series cuz they started saying new words that made no meaning to season 1, it would have been good if they would explain them in subsequent seasons but no, they had to rush this story into a plot i don't understand. Ekko just found himself in another world abi na time, same with Mel lost in one yeye black rose. Wetin be rose, Westin be arcane, wetin cause ambessa vengeance, why bring back vander just to finish their lazy writing, so many questions left unanswered but to find a reason to add new to justify their lazy writing. He no go bad if it was well paced and new words explained, ambessa back story, true meaning of arcane, jinx magical prowess and ekko's creative drive.

Season 2 of Arcane was visually great and even the music was great

But the story was deeply flawed. Season 2 was style without substance.

And it's good enough for those willing to shut their brain off and enjoy the unearned emotional bait scenes...
But any analysis of the writing and the whole thing falls apart.

I think it could have worked if they had one more season instead of rushing all the plotlines.

Personally I liked episode 7 in isolation. I wasn't a fan of different realities/universes but I still think it was executed well.

The episode still revealed the motivation of Jayce, but they shouldn't have wasted an episode on all that when there were only 2 more episodes to end the show.

Also, Jayce's speech to Viktor at the end contradicts his actions in episode 6. In episode 6 his first thought was to immediately kill Viktor...

In episode 9, he suddenly ed his encounter with Jayce that led him here and what he was meant to say...

I just cannot forgive the writers for what they did to the Piltover and Zaun plotline.

Why abandon all that to pursue some alien cosmic godlike plot and the useless Black Rose plotline that had nothing to do with the story.

The nonsense they did with Mel's character is unforgivable

It's Magic basically.
But I share your sentiments on how this S2 ended, the Piltover and Zaun storyline and the two sisters' storyline felt abandoned for the convoluted albeit beautiful mess they served us.
