Attention-seeking, was she forced to take up the job?

She should sit down at home, no be by force to do warehouse job as it is a deal-breaker for her.

Such jobs should be seen as transition jobs as you find your feet in the UK.

I picked parcels at DHL, also packed bananas and pineapples at Fyffes Bananas before moving to psychology roles during my student days. I was humbled when I got paired on shifts with a female Indian Paediatrician who also came to the UK through the study route, as we both packed pineapples and bananas, she shared how she worked in a big Paediatric facility back in India but decided making the move to the UK with her husband and kids was the best decision. Today, she works at Great Ormond Street Hospital London, that is one of the top five children’s hospitals in the world while I now work for a London borough as a Clinical Practitioner for the Children social care.

You said it all

Typical arrogant idiot. Because you made it, you think it’s easy for everyone else.

There are many Nigerians, Africans, Indians etc with degrees in various fields who are stuck in those “transition jobs” in the UK, and never make it to the point of working in the fields they studied, largely because of racism.

It’s generally easier to progress in the medical field because there are not many whites eager to work in that sector.

So, what qualified him as an arrogant idiot?

Typical person on nairaland

I sympathize with you.
Now you can see what many Fathers & Boyfriends did for years to put Foods on the table for you, yet one mother/ girlfriend was never appreciative in same UK with no recourse to Father's/Boyfriend's mental health.
Those are jobs men have been doing for years.
You just attempted it and you're weeping.
Have you ed seafarers, miners to work or cleaned skyscrapers??

Anyway, For the Cold, the First places to cover are your HEAD, HANDS & FEET
Those are the Intial Rules.
U missed your head, hence the disaster
What the he.ll?

Can you make your point without announcing to the world that you are misogynist

The world owes you no pity or anything else.

If it is pity you seek, of what benefit will it be to you.?

Work your work. Pay the dues. Hope for tomorrow and have a plan/road map.

Seeking pity and validation is a useless thing. I would have preferred you made a post on how to adapt or how to get another hustle less exposing to weather elements.

Your tears are useless. Of no value. Provides no solution. People will move on to the next reel or video or topic. The world doesn’t owe you shit. And it will move on. Strap your boots madam. The World Really doesn’t give a damn. Be stoic.

Life has provided all it has been moved to provide. Your body parts are complete. The air you breathe is free. You have been fortunate (or not) to go to the Uk. You are even fortunate to have a warehouse job. Yes. Life owes you nothing much as the pathway has been presented before you. Walk it, avoid thorns, meander through hedges , and progress on life’s journey. And your public tears right in front of a camera shows you aren’t thinking about creative ways to handle your predicament. YOU SHOULD SHOOT A VIDEO OF PRAISE THANKING GOD AND BEING GRATEFUL FOR CROSSING MILESTONES TO WHERE YOU ARE TODAY. THANK GOD ALSO FOR BETTER THINGS TO COME AS YOU PROGRESS WITH YOUR PLAN. Thank God for showing you that this issues you worry about has already been solved.

You clearly did not travel with REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS as Marina in Canada will call it. “Haunty” you went to the UK. We all know majority of those who travel would have to up their resumes, get certifications, etc meanwhile as bills pile up you have to make ends meet. Simple Rule. Simple Protocol. You pay through the grind to make ends meet and have a roap or game plan to improve your fortunes eventually. Nobody send you message. You are on your own.

Your public tears mean nothing and will achieve only little. Especially in a place that they barely ever play to sentimental nonsense we are used to back home.

Love consoling ladies like this, when you comfort them in your arms...it often leads to subtraction of clothes undecided

Better stay there. APC don finish our economy. Bulabalu Effect will make you cry more.

No extreme weather is good for the health...!

However, you are wrong!

Extreme cold does far more damage to the body and health than heat.

Frostbite and gangrene can lead to loss of limbs, even death.

Many Africans lose their sanity over there.

It is not by force to stay; come back home or only visit during their summer. The December and January cold hasn’t even fully set in yet, so imagine this one crying every day—how long before she takes off her clothes and enters the proverbial market?

There should be a "japa exchange program" where people like her can come back home, allowing more hungry and mentally prepared immigrants like me to take her place.

All the millions you spend traveling mean nothing if you lose your mind.

Do u think it's easy to return back.

The way most of u guys shout return back.

When my school wanted to chase me back Nigeria.. I had to pick jobs worked my back to exhaustion all money to school...by the time i know what was happening.. Was almost having stage 3 high blood pressure. Note back in Nigeria i never suffered from this. Just under one year or less than a year in uk.

It's not easy bro..

If the work was physical, she wouldn’t notice the temperature. Make she comot make Polish people do the job.

I was about to say the same thing. Cold room and meat storage jobs in Europe should be left for Polish, Bulgaria etc people. They are used to the cold.

Africans should stick to normal logistics warehouse and packaging jobs. NOT COLD ROOM. The winter is coming.

Anyway, it's hard life in the West.

Thank you... This is the hard cold truth nobody wants to accept.

Many will be stuck in these transition jobs for years except they upskill to fields with higher demands and less workers like health and Programming.
