Modified: Haven seen his previous videos from years back on this matter of phone ringing, and also the recent one where he walked out, I don't think he is wrong. In short, I agree with him. He has been preaching about the need for discipline in the body of Christ and why we need to show reverence to God's word when we come for it. Eventhough I think the person whose phone rings should be asked to leave instead of the whole congregation paying for one person's carelessness, he said he finds it difficult to ascend in the spirit when there are phone distractions. So even if the person at fault leaves, he won't still be able to impart much on the congregation( though God can be merciful).

My conclusion is that disciplinary measures like this may appear cold and unloving but at the end they would prove effective.

you can't preach to be Christ-like and act this way.

Jesus said forgive 36*36 times a day. If he can't forgive one nd continue with his preaching, then he's not fit to be a pastor. For me, I see arrogance. You try this with me in a church, and I will never near that church again.

The person whose phone rang might have obeyed this order over a thousand times, only for his mind to fail him this one time. This is a house of God where sins are forgiven.

If I'm a member of that church, I will dust my feet and never return.

Look at the clip properly. You'll notice while he was speaking, a phone rang and that was what prompted the warning. He warned and gave reasons why he couldn't operate under such an atmosphere.

Few seconds later a phone rang again. What I see here is darkness confronting light. But instead of the Man of God to get angry and perhaps lay a curse like some others would do after defying his warning, he rather chooses to employ the instrument of wisdom and bow out honourably.

My question is, if this warning had come to the congregation while the king/president was talking. Do you think anyone wants to be identified as rude and insurbodinated to Mr President? Apostle Arome Osayi stopped preaching and left the pulpit because phones rang in the church ! Is this pride or spiritual discipline? Did Jesus stop preaching despite the noise of the crowd? Would Arome have done same if he was in secular job ? Was he disrespectful to the congregation that came to church to listen to him?

Arome is a guy I respect and as a fellow comrade in the vineyard of Christ, I believe this was excessive and unfair to the congregation who came out to listen to you.
