there was no link between the activities in university and that of the society. University education became too separate from society. Critical positions were given to the most connected and popular people and not the most competent. So policies that would have placed intellect on a higher pedestal than fame, wealth and connections were all jettisoned.

If we notice, the generation called genz didn't take school on their heads, but they're far richer. They did tasks on the Web and sold their skills and competences abroad via freelancing. They bought crypto and did nfts. They are the ones talking about thousands of dollars when we hardly the current dollar conversion rate. Its all about application of the education
