The lawmaker has become a lawbreaker. It's so pathetic. I wish this idiot is sacked and sanctioned for assault.
It's very pathetic to see that people in positions of power have equated themselves to a god-like status. Total nincompoops.
The MOST painful thing is that these idiots will travel abroad and comport themselves in the presence of whites. But they become beasts to their fellow brothers and sisters.
I wish this guy is FIRED and made to pay for damages. Very retarded fellow.
He has no immunity from arrest and prosecution. If he does not go jail for assault, then Nigeria stinks.
jabberjawz:
I swear, comot mopol and police wey dey follow these people, person go beat better shit comot these stupid politicians...... imagine calling a full human being "Rat" because e be bolt driver. ...
Na only them go say make person start small....no job youths should not sit idle...start from small, don't be lazy........see am?.....him wey no lazy wan disappear person....
Let's get this clear:
1) the driver was contracted to deliver to his doorstep (not to his kitchen, sitting room or bedroom)
2) he has absolutely no right to raise his finger on that driver unprovoked..
3) it is established from the video that he is supposed to pay the bolt driver his delivery fees for the services rendered.
4) As a sitting house of reps member, telling the bolt driver he can make him disappear (video evidence) and nothing will happen shows how morally bankrupt he is (as an individual & a leader).
5) He sees the bolt driver as a "Nobody" thereby referencing him to the likes of a "Rat" ...shows how he sees Nigerian populace that he governs .... he's got absolutely no regards for humans he sees lesser than him. This one in the video is bolt driver o .... imagine what he does to his domestic staff.
Fellow Nigerians, do we fold our hands & watch this type of oppression go by on a daily?.... it's the bolt driver today...it could be you or your loved one tomorrow.
It's time to hold the evil fellow able....we can start by saying hello to him the "Nigerian way' on all his social media handle...let's drag the hell outta this evil mo'fo.. ...while a civil litigation case will be filled against the asssshooole.
the vendor was had on the phone apologizing to the idiot without respect for the delivery man because of what? He or she needs to be identified too.
Yes it's supposed to make sense to people with brains . I bet u ur deviod of any form of cognitive or assimilative abilities.....I will refer u to the video again but this time watch it slowly and take a listen to this statement from the senator......
"I Can Make You Disappear And Nothing Will Happen" - House Of Reps Member, Ikwechegh Slaps Bolt Driver
By Wisdom Nwedene
A Federal Lawmaker, representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency in the National Assembly has allegedly assaulted a bolt driver in his compound in Abuja.
In a video seen by 9News Nigeria, the Bolt driver said he went to deliver something to the Lawmaler but he took offence and assaulted him just because the he asked the him to come to the car to pick up his package, which is snails he ordered from a vendor.
In the video, the lawmaker can be seen slapping the driver multiple times. Later the driver asked him "did you just slap me three times?", which je replied, "twice and you will soon receive the third slap".
Also, in the video, Ikwechegh was heard telling the vendor that he can make the driver disappear and nothing will happen.
"I can make you disappear in the whole of Nigeria and nothing will happen. Do you know who I am?".
"I am a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and I can lock you up in my Generator House and nothing will happen," Ikwechegh said in the viral video.
He also said he won't ask the police officers protecting him to beat up the driver but will do it himself.
Meanwhile, the action has generated a mixed reaction on the social media.
A Facebook Ogochukwu said ;" This is very disappointing coming from a Lawmaker but again it also shows that a lot of our elected political office holders should have no business in governance."
"Imagine getting this violent because the bolt driver asked you come to the car and get your package. Imagine what he will do if it is a very serious offence committed against him."

Mumu if only u r smart enough u will hv been able to decipher the points in my write up.....
The driver was at fault .....he saw the senator outside thinking he was nobody hence the reason why he asked him to come get the luggage from the car as per say his a bolt driver na....
Now my friend will u go to tunubu house as a bolt driver and ask tunubu to come bring the luggage dowm himself...??
I didn't even bother reading this reply. You're not smart—just deal with it.
Dronedude:
He's very wrong to treat a man the way he did. But truth be told, some of these bolt drivers are rude as f*ck. They treat customers like you are part of their problems.
I thought I was the only one that noticed it. They behave like their doing you a favor or giving you a free lift. If you tell th to on AC na war. I no dey en them again sef. Wait till LASG link everywhere with rail tracks and we go all dey alright.
Why can't he just bring out the parcel and hand it over to the man?
WHY WOULD HE SAY HE SHOULD COME TO THE CAR AND PICK IT UP HIMSELF?
I smell frustration, envy anger and jealousy.
The Rep member
He too must be very stupìd to be saying DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?
ONTOP OF THAT, SLAPPING A GROWN MAN JUST BECAUSE HE THINKS HE HAS THE ADVANTAGE...
Bear in mind that he's a bolt rider not a dispatch rider. The guy has done well already by driving into the compound, what the proud fool should have done is call one of his staff to pick it from the car since he has an issue picking it up himself, not display his arrogance and sheer stupidity.
Interesting....there is no law in this country to even break... that's exactly what Nigeria are going through in the hand of wicked and evil leaders we have... only Nigeria can save themselves from this people
efemena5050:
thanks for the understanding......see my friends 50percent of Nigerians will do what the senator did as per say his power and authority was punctured...he was only acting on impulse....mind u I submitted my reservation about his attitude if u go back to my first submission on this issue .....but thanks again for finally coming to the understanding
I suspect they would do the same which is very ignorant, if a person goes to a supermarket buy loads of stuff and the cashier refuses to pack his/her shopping, the cashier shouldn't get a slap twice back and threats.
All the lawmaker had to do was to call the Uber guy employers and make complain on the delivery man's atitude.
I drive Uber myself sometimes i am not obligated to go to people's doors to deliver, reason is for my safety.
I wonder how many people he has made to disappear. We vote this clowns into power and they get there and become gods. All our lawbreakers are like this. Very arrogant sons of devils.
I wonder what will be his defense cos I am sure he will cook up some lies.
Nonsense people.

Botragelad:
A Labour MP has been suspended by his party after CCTV caught him punching a man just hours ago in the UK. An investigation is ongoing. Does that happen in Africa?
It will never happen in Nigeria. They will instead arrest the man, twist the case and charge him for assault. The House of Reps including all those in power know that Nigeria is a lawless country and they like it that way as they take advantage of the situation so as to feel like gods
Faithfulness99:
Guy blaming the driver to bring it down.In the USA a Uber driver doesn't lift a pin for you. They only do it if the wish. The member can even tell the driver jokingly you want send your senior.Guy bring that thing down.
Bro, this context is Nigerian, not USA.
Your customer pays your bills and deserves every respect, politeness and courtesy.
Let's forget the senator tag thing, the man therein is an elder to him (d driver). So, if he asked that you should bring down his goods, what's the big deal?
The boy was rude, and difficult. That's it.
I have an e-commerce business. One of the reasons it's still profitable despite Nigerian economic issues is our customer service culture.
There are few times I don't use despatch officers, but I deliver items myself to customers. I always get my monies. . Infact 50% of most cases, customer end up paying me extra fee (voluntarily) due to their satisfaction and interactive pleasure.
Customer satisfaction is king. Customer expection must be your focus if you want to be distinct in your space.
I have received several insults, but I end up receiving my monies, and often a laughter usually ends it between us.
In Nigeria, we value respect. Our culture is different from USA's. . If I were that Bolt driver, I would have been paid (no big deal just bring out the items as requested), and the big man would have willingly paid me Xtra for being humble, respectful and ultimately, receiving a quality product from me.
obailala:
I've read several comment on this thread of people claiming the driver was at fault for daring to ask the man to come pick his goods from the car. Are you guys really serious with these comments abi na sacrcasm? I really hope it's some kind of sarcasm I'm missing because what's wrong in a driver asking a recipient to come pick up his goods from the vehicle?
But if it's not sarcasm, what manner of primitive, barbaric, slave mentality mindset makes people think it's a BOLT driver's job responsibility to hand-deliver goods to the door, all because the recipient is a 'big man'? Was that part of a signed contract? ... This is the sort of slave mentality foolishness that keeps Africa as a shithole. Spits!
oga with sense the driver dint dare the senator.....
Listen the driver came to the house seeing the man outside unknowing to him that man was a senator...he asked him to come get the luggage from the booth....it was when the senator opened up to him that he started playing the victim card.....
My question to u my friend will u go to any know senator house and ask him to come carry his luggage from ur car himself assuming his securities are not around.?? As a typical Nigerian way u be ?
Bear in mind that he's a bolt rider not a dispatch rider. The guy has done well already by driving into the compound, what the proud fool should have done is call one of his staff to pick it from the car since he has an issue picking it up himself, not display his arrogance and sheer stupidity.
He's a bolt driver that agreed to do a dispatch rider's work
MadPolitician:
That driver was very rude and was deliberately baiting the man. He sounded like he was goading the man.
That said, Ikwecheg should not have gotten into any sort of physical altercation with such a frustrated felliw.
How was he very rude from little we've seen so far? He's a bolt driver not the guy's assistant. His job was to get the item to the beneficiary, he's literally driven into the guy's compound and you can see that the guy was sitting pretty close to the car. The bolt driver is not mandated to start carrying the items for him na, the senator could have easily called one of his staff to carry it instead of this

The bolt driver followed standard procedure, you are not supposed to step out of the car except if it's law enforcement

ur among the few brilliant people in this forum .....the driver was at fault he dint know the person outside was a senator so he asked him to come pick the luggage from the car.....most bolt drivers use to feel very big......stupid driver started playing victim card when senator revealed himself to him.....he is at fault .....the diver was stupid
