This is incredibly insightful advice! Many applicants overlook the importance of providing a comprehensive valuation report for their landed properties when applying for visas. It's not just about having the funds but demonstrating strong home ties and a clear financial standing. A well-prepared valuation report not only proves the value of your assets but can also highlight how these assets ensure your return home, thereby increasing the chances of visa approval. For anyone going through the visa process, securing a valuation report is definitely worth considering to strengthen your application. Check https://tagschoool.com/ for more details.

Like I said before, I will always advise you to plan your funding very well before embarking on study in Canada. Don't attempt to go empty handed and believe the tales that you can work and foot your living expenses and tuition both. If you are lucky and hardworking, you may be able to foot your living expenses if you live lean but not including tuition. The Canadian system was not designed for student to be able to afford their tuition + living expenses reason students are allocated limited time. Also be smart to be aware of destitute student or destitute workers clause in cases your situation of funding or work condition is genuinely affected respectively. You need to have proofs of genuine funds provision for yourself before the unexpected happened as contained under IRCC law. That option is far better than settling down for Asylum which a lot of people lie to obtain. This is a report of closed permit workers who got open work permit based on there harsh treatment by employers who hired them on closed permit. Since the destitute worker also works like the destitute student, all you need is to be aware and know what to do and when to apply it to your case if after you have done the needful as required by a student whose conditions were naturally messed up by their situation. One love. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/temporary-foreign-workers-closed-work-permits-1.7354068 |

ission decisions are based on a comprehensive assessment and can be impacted by many factors, including: English language proficiency Availability of Provincial Attestation Letters (PAL) Previous academic performance Time since previous academic study (education gaps) Personal statements, interviews or auditions/exams (where applicable) |

Private Quebec college graduates no longer eligible for PGWP starting September 2023 Graduates of unsubsidized private learning institutions in Quebec will no longer be eligible for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) starting September 1, 2023. The measure is intended to protect the integrity of the international student program in Quebec, according to the federal government. In recent years, investigations by journalists and the Quebec's Ministry of Higher Education, found certain private institutions were engaging in unscrupulous recruitment practices. In other provinces, international students who have enrolled in a private program of study generally do not have access to the PGWP, an open work permit that can allow international student graduates the right to work in Canada for up to three years. Once the measure goes into effect, Quebec private institutions will align with the rest of the country. Graduates of a subsidized program of study in Quebec will still be eligible for the PGWP. “Canada recognizes the tremendous social, cultural and economic benefits that international students bring to this country," Immigration Minister Sean Fraser said in a media release. "Making the change that Quebec requested to post-graduation work permit eligibility will improve the integrity of the program, bring Quebec’s private institutions further in line with those of other provinces and protect our well deserved reputation as a destination of choice for international students.” Unsubsidized private learning institutions have been attracting large numbers of international students since 2018. About 4,900 international students received study permits for one of these institutions between 2016-2018. Then between 2019 and 2021, the approximate number of international students who received a study permit for one of these institutions jumped to 11,500. About the PGWP The PGWP is an open work permit that allows international student graduates the opportunity to work for any employer in Canada. It can be used as a gateway to permanent residence. Studies have shown that immigrants who have Canadian experience before immigrating to Canada tend to fare better in the labour market than those who immigrate to Canada directly from their country of origin. In order to be eligible for the PGWP, international student graduates need to have studied full-time for at least eight months at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI). The study program must have led to a degree, diploma or certificate. During the pandemic, when students were forced to work from home, Canada introduced measures to allow international students to be eligible with online study. International students can count online study completed between March 2020 to August 31, 2022 toward their PGWP eligibility. |

International students planning to study in Quebec will now need an attestation letter along with a CAQ Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has confirmed that international students looking to study in Quebec will need an attestation letter from the province, along with a Certificat d'Acceptation du Quebec (Quebec Acceptance Certificate, CAQ) to apply for a study permit. What is a CAQ? The CAQ is a mandatory immigration document for all study permit applicants looking to attend a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) in Quebec. It serves as an authorisation that an applicant has met Quebec’s provincial standards to be allowed to study in the province. International students planning to study in Quebec must receive both a CAQ and an attestation letter before applying for a study permit, issued by IRCC. What is an attestation letter? On January 22nd, IRCC announced that it would implement a cap on how many study permit applications would be approved in 2024. IRCC will allocate the study permit cap by province and territory, weighted by their respective populations. Provinces and territories will be responsible for implementing a system to issue attestation letters to their international student hopefuls. Though attestation letters are required for all study permit applications submitted after January 22nd, per IRCC’s announcement, provinces and territories have until March 31st, 2024, to create a system of issuing attestation letters to applicants. These new measures have been implemented in a bid to tackle malpractice in the international student space and to stabilise the number of temporary residents who place pressure on housing, healthcare, and other services in Canada. Studying in Quebec Quebec boasts the third largest international student population in Canada, after Ontario and British Columbia. Montreal has the highest per capita international student population of any city in Canada). The province is also noted for a number of excellent educational institutions, including some of Canada’s top-ranked universities and colleges. Quebec has some of Canada’s lowest cost of living expenses, a rich francophone history and culture, and lower tuition costs, as compared to other Canadian provinces. International students studying in Quebec can take advantage of province-specific immigration programs like the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), and the Regular Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) after obtaining the needed work experience in the province. Should these same students wish to immigrate outside of Quebec, they can take advantage of federal programs like Express Entry-managed pathways, potentially yielding more immigration options for Quebec graduates. |

Update from University of Regina: "*Due to further IRCC restrictions, especially a reduced study permit cap for 2025, our ability to it students is more restricted than in previous . Among other changes, IRCC has reduced the total study permit cap by 10% with an additional 12% reduction including graduate student allocations. Therefore, education study gaps and availability of Provincial Attestation Letters (PALs) must now be considered in the issions process. These factors may have contributed to the decision made on your application. Thank you for your understanding, and we wish you the best in the next steps of your academic journey.*" Thank you; |

More Update from University of Regina: *"In regards to what you would be able to do next, at this time based on the information in the previous paragraph it is unlikely that anything would change even if you applied to a different program. If anything changes in the future regarding the current policies, you should be able to apply at that time, but given the current policies it might be worthwhile looking into other Canadian universities as well to see whether you would be able to gain ission from another institution. Thank you for investing your time into the University of Regina, and we wish you the best in whichever academic endeavors you decide to pursue!"*

I assume you are sponsoring yourself. As a self-sponsor, you must show funds for the tuition fees and living expenses for the duration of your program OR show funds for one year and a reliable source that can generate funds in your absence for the subsequent year. In addition to insufficient funds, the VO mentioned no evidence of how you accumulated the funds. Vos wants to see not just the funds but the source of the funds. For instance, it is unbelievable for someone who earns a meagre salary to show complete funds for tuition and living expenses without a convincing explanation as to the source of the funds. So it is vital to show proof of employment such as payslips, tax document, etc., and if some of the funds were a gift, provide a gift deed, briefly explain the financial capability and relationship to the donor, and proof of prior if applicable. banky24: 1 Like |

This could be a good case for reconsideration if you included the ing documents. The officer who assessed your application may have missed explanations and documents concerning the lump sums and sponsorship. Note that reconsideration is only considered if the VO made an error in law or somehow erred; simply disagreeing is not a factor. For instance, you can request a reconsideration if a VO ignores a vital document. However, IRCC is not obligated to consider or respond to your request. In your reconsideration submission, provide a detailed explanation and highlight the VO’s errors regarding lump sum and sponsorship (sister). You can submit new documents to buttress your points. For instance, you can provide additional documents like Updated bank statement – to show the funds are still there Birth certificates showing the same parents, if applicable – proof of relationship Gift Deed – legal document for the gift You should reapply if you receive no reply after 10 days. All the best. Note: The beginning balance of 17K is low in relation to the ending balance of over 54K. Popson09: 1 Like |
